Moon water

1090 Words
The next morning when Amelia woke up, she found out Alpha Damien and his pack had left back to their pack lands late last night. It seemed he went out of the way to avoid her again. She had a glimer of hope last night when he rushed to find her after the rouge attack, but he immediately fled without so much as a word to her. The next two weeks went by fast, Amelia busied herself with training, volunteering, family and friends to preoccupy her mind. She was getting stronger, training harder. Amelia had began to develop a more passive opinion of her mate, deciding if he didn't want her she would just try to move on with her life. He was arriving later that afternoon for a alliance meeting with her father and Aaron, she was told he would be staying for dinner after. It was the night of the Full Moon so the pack would be going for a pack run together at midnight. Amelia went downstairs to the packhouse kitchen, deciding to start her Moon Water potions before the kitchen Omega's needed to start dinner. She took out all necessary supplies and cleansed them. Isabella, I am going to start the Moon Water's for tonight, could you help? Amelia asked through mind-link. Yes, Alpha Damien and his Beta's showed up early, they are also apparently staying till morning. After we finish pleasantries I will be there. Isabella answered. Amelia felt her heart clentch, she would have to deal with the anxiety of him being close longer than she expected. She could do this, she was strong. Walking into the kitchen an hour later, Alpha Damien saw Amelia filling several large jars with purified water. She didn't even acknowledge his presence. He continued to watch her from across the room moving about the kitchen, filling jars and sanitizing lids in a boiling pot of water. Her body was perfect, the way she glided around while working was incredibly graceful. As he was watching Amelia work, Ariel came in the kitchen with a basket of herbs, followed closely by a very pregnant, future Luna Isabella. Ariel glares openly at Alpha Damien as she walked by, putting the herbs in the sink to wash. Isabella is the first to actually greet Damien, as she ties on an apron. "Good afternoon Alpha Damien, is there something we can do for you?" She asks, smiling genuinely at him. "No thank you, I just came down for a bottle of water before heading to the meeting." Damien lied, hoping she didn't see through his facade. In reality he was hoping to get a glimpse of Amelia. "There are drinks provided in the conference room... Alpha." Isabella replied, narrowing her eyes at the lying Alpha. Amelia quickly glanced up at Damien, she knew what Isabella's tone meant. Isabella had always had a gift of sniffing out lies, it was hard to get away with anything around her. Even as children if Amelia would successfully sneak something by Aaron, Isabella would always tell on her to him. She once told Amelia she couldn't stand the stench of lies and deceit. Her gift was well known among their family and pack members, but not widely broadcasted among the whole werewolf community. Amelia noticed Damien shift his weight slightly and avert his gaze. I knew he had an ulterior motive of coming in here and watching us. Winnie gushes, Amelia just huffed in return, frustrated with the situation. "What are you lady's making anyway?" Alpha Damien asks to no one in particular, trying to change the subject. "Moon Water." Ariel answers dryly, not even turning around. "Oh I've heard about that, its suppose to help give us a small energy boost or something, right?" Damien asked. Isabella looked up at him, smiling mischievously. "Something like that..." She said with a glint in her eye. "What are the herbs and other ingredients for then?" He asked. "Amelia makes a.... special Moon Water, if you will." She answers while writing something on a clip board. Damien looks over at Amelia, she was now sorting washed herbs with her sister, Ariel. She was telling her which herbs were to be put in which jars of water. He was intrigued, what more could this "special" Moon Water do besides gives them a small energy burst, kind of like an energy drink for humans. His pack never really made Moon Water anymore since it seemed almost purposeless with their already enhanced abilities. He continued to watch them place things in jars, curious the purpose of each. "What kind of herbs are all those, and what are their uses?" He finally asked, not able to contain his curiosity any longer. "There are a lot of different mixtures for different purposes Alpha Damien, I couldn't explain them all before you are due for your meeting. There are mixtures for even more advanced healing for more serious injuries, mixtures for courage, luck, protection, fertility, and even hex-breaking. No one knows the exact mixtures and procedures except Amelia anyway, we are just her obedient servants." Isabella said, giving a playful curtsy to Amelia. "You are my saviors, this would take a lot longer without you." Amelia said while grinding something with a white, marble motar and pestle. They placed lids on the jars and Amelia took the clip board from Isabella, asking her to finish grinding the substance, while she went about placing small label stickers on the lids. After finishing labeling the jars, Amelia starts picking up jars one at a time. She places them close to her heart, one hand holding the jar in place while the other hand was placed flat on top. She mumbled a few words, too low for even Damien's enhanced werewolf hearing. Amelia handed off the jar to Ariel, before picking up another and continuing the pattern. Ariel placed the jar on a cart, then waited for another. When the last jar was placed on the cart, the ladies headed towards the exit. "I can see your curiosity Alpha, if you would like to join we are almost done with the ritual." Isabella voiced before following her sister-in-law's out. Once outside, Isabella and Ariel went to sitting the jars on tables. Amelia took the motar and began sprinkling a small amount of the powder over the jars while mumbling more incoherent words. Damien caught a few this time. Blessed...... Goddess...... Protect...... Damien watched her the whole time, silently amazed by her grace. She really was a beautiful creature.
