Well s**t

"Well shit..." Ariel mutters, "that was... unexpected." She then giggles to herself. Amelia shoots Ariel a dirty look before walking over to Eric quickly. Another warrior had already handed him a shirt to wipe the blood from his face. "Are you okay?" Amelia asks bending over to ask quietly. "Yeah, nothing that won't heal." Eric said, smiling at her, but Amelia frowned. "What the hell was that!" Amelia yells at Eric. Eric snickers, getting back to his feet. "He needed to be shown that you are a catch Amelia. I'm sorry I messed with you, but I saw him watching you and decided to teach him a lesson. No one hurts and rejects someone we care about without consequences." Eric growled out the last sentence, his eyes getting slightly darker as he looked toward the door Alpha Damien had left through. "Hey, it's fine, just stay out of it from now on. Please." Amelia said, grabbing Eric's tense forearm. "Sure," Eric nodded. Amelia could sense there was something else to Eric's actions. Another reason he had acted out towards her. It wasn't like they were best friends, just work friends. Amelia really wished Isabella had been there to sense any type of deception. Amelia and Ariel headed back towards the flower meadow. Before they got far Amelia remembered her friend had need some fresh chamomile flowers too. "I need to run grab a jar Cassandra gave me, she needed some chamomile flowers for a spell." Amelia told Ariel. "Oh, I can collect enough for her too." Ariel offered. "No, I have to get the jar and scissors she gave me, she gave specific instructions on how to harvest the flower heads. I have to cut them directly into a enchanted jar for the spells to work right. The scissors were also cleansed first." Amelia thought out loud. "I'll just meet you there then." Ariel said with a smile before heading toward the forrest on the small trek to the flower meadow. Amelia quickly walked through the packhouse up to her room. She slipped on t-shirt over her sports bra and bike shorts, fixing her hair quickly in the mirror. Grabbing the jar and scissors her best friend, Cassandra, gave her she made her way out the back door and out into the forrest. On the way to the flower meadow Amelia reminisced about the first time she met Cassandra. They had attend an Art Summer Camp together in the city. They were 9-years-old and being the only two supernatural beings, they clicked immediately. Everything about the girls complimented eachother. Amelia's father was skeptical of the small witch girl at first, for fears built into him by previous generations, but her Mother's coven was known to consist of only Light Witches, instantly expelling those that dared to practice dark magic. Therefore, he allowed the girls to bond, at first under supervision, but through the years Alpha Travis grew to love Cassandra like his own. This brought about an alliance with Cassandra's coven and the Cresent Moon Pack. The coven being more secretive due to prejudice, created by dark witches, caused the alliance to be known to only those involved. As Amelia neared the meadow, she saw Ariel through the thinning trees. She was picking chamomile flowers near the front entrance to the meadow. She looked so peaceful and innocent with her strawberry blonde hair blowing in the wind, a stranger wouldn't imagine the arsenal she carried on her 24/7. Ariel, and her twin brother Aries, the two youngest Alpha children, were extremely well versed in weapons. It was a natural talent they showed an extreme ability in from a young age. Their father, Alpha Travis, had always nurtured all of his children's interests, but the youngest twins affinity to knifes, swords and guns, was one of his favorite hobbies to nurture. The twins had training in long distance killing comparable to any professional assassin. "Hey," Amelia yelled, jogging up to Ariel. "Do you know if Uncle Terence is home? I called Cas to let her know I was cutting the flowers and she was wondering if she could talk to him about another trade this afternoon when she picks up the flowers." "He was leaving when I walked up. He should be around." Ariel answered while still picking flowers. "Thanks." Amelia mumbled. Uncle Terence, Cas wants to trade you for some honey this afternoon if you are around and have extra... Amelia told her uncle through mindlink. I always have extra honey for Cas, y'all come over anytime today. Aunt Lashonda made cinnamon rolls this morning. The girls haven't finished them off yet, if you get here soon you might get one... Uncle Terence chuckled to Amelia through mindlink. I'll let her know, thanks Uncle Terri... Amelia said. The girls continued to pick flowers and relax in the garden for another hour before heading back to the pack house. Amelia going to her room, while Ariel went to set her flowers out to dry under a covered patio, set up for drying herbs and curing vegetables. The Cresent Moon Pack grows and provides most of the produce, herbs, and chicken eggs that its pack members need. The pack being a more self sufficient pack than others in the area. The pack prided themselves on this fact, it helped them provide stability for their members if war broke out again. The last large war causing food import shortages to their pack, due to supply trucks driving through enemy territories. Cassandra's POV: "Hello," I said answering my phone, not looking at the caller ID. "Hey Cas!" Amelia said. "Hey girl!" I answered happily. Amelia is one of my favorite people. "I just wanted to let you know I am about to cut those flowers you wanted. It will probably be the last harvest of the season, it's starting to get cold at night." Amelia told me. "Thanks Milly," I said, using my childhood nickname for her. "I'll come over in a couple hours if you will be home, the spell will work best on the Full Moon tonight anyway." "I will be here." Amelia answered. "Also, do you think your uncle will trade me some honey for borrowing another book?" I asked. "Woman!" Amelia shouted. "You should know by now that he would trade you 100 jars of honey for a day with one of your ancient scriptures. You do him too many favors." Amelia was right, her uncle was one of only a few people allowed to read our ancient scriptures outside of our coven. He was into religious research and asked the right questions to my mother (also our Coven Mother) at a dinner they both attend many years ago. Their werewolf pack being so kind to me over the years she allowed Amelia's uncle to read inconsequential documents at first, but over time allowing him to read anything he wanted. He settled for borrowing books that I traded him for honey over the years, saying the information I brought him was enough to make him reflect on the universe for a lifetime and a half. Only his honey was beneficial to us witches too, we use it for potions that require localized honey, along with sweeten our teas. I can imagine the things he has learned, some of our books are from before our coven moved to America from Egypt. "I'll see you soon." I told Amelia, hanging up and heading to take a shower before going to her territory.
