Predictions

After taking her time in the shower, Cassandra headed towards the Cresent Moon pack in her Tesla. The guard's knowing her well, immediately open the gates, letting Cassandra into the pack lands. She flew up to her normal parking spot on the grass by the driveway. Cassandra noticed a bunch more vehicles parked around the driveway than normal, but didn't give too much thought to it, thinking Alpha Travis probably had a business or pack meeting. Cassandra entered the packhouse, seeing Amelia's mother, Luna Trish, talking to an Omega about dinner preparations. She made her way over smiling. Luna Trish grabbed Cassandra, pulling her into a tight hug. "Oh, little Cassi, I am so glad to see you. It has been too long." Luna Trish tells Cassandra pulling back to hold Cassandra by her shoulders at arms length. "You are more beautiful every time I see you!" Luna Trish gushed. "Thank you Luna," Cassandra thanked her. "Is Amelia around?" "Um... I think I saw her headed to her room about an hour ago." Luna Trish said. "Thanks," Cassandra said while heading to the back staircase. As she made her way to the back stairwell Cassandra noticed an interesting looking man eye her from the doorway to the gaming room. She stopped mid-step and turned to look directly at him. His soul seemed familiar to her, but she could not put her finger on how. He radiated power, so Cassandra knew he was a ranked member of a werewolf pack, but not Cresent Moon, she would know his face if he was a ranked member of Amelia's pack. Cassandra walked closer towards the familiar stranger. When she was a few yards away, Cassandra was able to understand why the man seemed familiar to her. In making eye contact close up she could sense his soul. He was Amelia's mate, the one who had hurt her best friend. Alpha Damien had been watching the little witch closely since she walked by. Even though he had hired witches in the past he was still cautious of them. This young one oozed confidence and power. The beautiful witches golden brown eyes seemed to bore into his soul as she walked up to him. "Hi," Cassandra addressed Alpha Damien, "I am Cassandra, you can call me Cas or Cassi for short." She said holding out her hand. Alpha Damien stared at her tiny hand for a minute before taking it and addressing Cassandra in return. "Alpha Damien Cross, of the New Moon Pack." Damien introduced himself. "Yes," Cassandra smiled. "I have heard of you." She said with a bit of venom slipping out. Cassandra quickly recomposed herself as Alpha Damien stared at her wide-eyed. Clearing his throat Alpha Damien said "Oh. You have?" Seeing how such a small amount of her disgust had rattled Damien, Cassandra decided to confuse him more. "Yep.... Always nice to meet Milly's mate." Cassandra said, giggling, as she turned around and walked out of the room. ..................... Amelia was napping before dinner, she knew it would be a long night with the full moon. The door to her room bust open and in strolled Cassandra. She threw herself onto Amelia's bed landing beside her with a bounce. They laid there for a minute in comfortable silence before Cassandra sat up, looking to make sure the door shut behind her. "Sooo.... I met your mate." Cassandra said, elongating the so to be dramatic. Amelia rolled over and sat up quickly. Wide-eyed staring at Cassandra. "H-how did you know who he was, I didn't tell you his name? Di-did he tell you I was his mate? Did dad or mom tell you?" Amelia asked questions in quick repetition. "No," chuckled Cassandra. "I can sense souls, remember. His and your souls, they are one in the same." Amelia threw her face back into her pillow harshly. Turning her head slightly so Cassandra could hear her. "I'm not sure what you are sensing but he must have three parts to his soul, because I'm his second chance mate, he had a mate already, and she had his child. He doesn't even want me." Amelia whines, then burrying her face in her pillow again. "You might be his second-chance mate, but you will be special to him in more ways than she ever was. Do not mistake he loved her, but you will be his savior, his everything, his light in the darkness." Cassandra said in a sing song voice. Amelia sat back up, rolling her eyes at Cassandra. "That's optimistic Cas." Amelia snapped. "It's not optimistic, it's what I sense, and I haven't been wrong with my predictions yet." Cassandra shrugged. Amelia froze. Cassandra's predictions were always spot on. If she predicted Damien would love her then it had to be true. Amelia never knew Cassandra to be wrong with her predictions. Cassandra never knew details of how you get to the end results of what she senses, people's choices caused that part to be foggy, but she was never wrong about the resulting feelings and actions. Cassandra came from a blood line of powerful witches. She had gone through an awakening last year on her 19th birthday and her powers had grown exponentially. "What else did you sense Cas?" Amelia attentively asked. Cassandra shrugged her shoulders. "He is scared and confused. The rest is up to you to figure out Milly." Cassandra stood up making her way towards Amelia's bathroom. Amelia sat reflecting on Cassandra revelation. She was not sure what it meant for her yet but it gave her a little hope. Hope that one day she would be loved by her mate the way she always dreamed of. Cassandra came out of the bathroom, making her way to sit at Amelia's desk. The jar of chamomile flowers was sitting on the desk, she waved her hand over the jar, whispering a few words in latin. Immediately the flowers inside were dried. "Cool trick," Amelia said nonchalantly. She had seen Cassandra do many amazing things she didn't know was possible the last year or so. "I just aged them by a week. Want to head to Terri's?" Cassandra asked. "Yes, let me get some shoes on." Amelia mumbled jumping up from her bed. "Would you just want to drive there in my car? The book is in there anyway." Cassandra asked. "Sounds like a plan." Amelia said opening her bedroom door for Cassandra. The two women made their way back through the packhouse, Cassandra taking note that Alpha Damien was no longer in the gaming room. In fact, they didn't see him the whole trek through the mansion to Cassandra's car.
