She stood shakily in front of the crypts. This was it then. She always knew she'd be on her own someday. Nevertheless, she didn't feel ready yet. She felt like crying but the tears just wouldn't come.
Damn my quirk!
Her hazel eyes started turning to their familiar bright green.
This is not the time for this.
She knew she had no control of what is to come next. She could feel a slight tingle starting at the end of her digits. She slowly started to smile, then doubled over in laughter. She knew how wrong it was, but she couldn't get herself to stop. The edges of her mouth stung from the unwanted stretch.
Everyone dies eventually, she shrugged.
Her laughter slowly drained out. She reached her hand up the crypt and traced its smooth surface. It was time for her other quirk. Plants. Her pupils grew larger as the ground beneath her started to shake lightly. A little c***k erupted in the earth, right beside the crypt. A long tangled up vine snaked its way up the side of the crypt.
Demi touched the plant delicately as multiple roses popped all over it. She sighed, rather happily, payed her mother one last farewell, and was on her way. She payed no attention to the rapid footsteps behind her. All she had in mind was going back to her flat, making herself a nice dinner and going to sleep.
Her head snapped when she heard a shrill scream.
'IT'S A BLOODY RED!' Demi looked around and was horrified to find multiple disfigured bodies laying on the cold marble floor. They all had similar deep stab wounds. Who would do such a horrible thing. And what was that about a Red. They didn't exist anymore, did they? The man responsible for the scream, ran into Demi.
'Did you see where they went?' he asked frantically. Demi shook her head rapidly. The man noticed her eyes but didn't care enough to linger.
No one cares that I'm a Green.
'There are no more Reds, silly,' she called after him.
Demi smiled and skipped back to her flat. Back the way that so-called Red ran.
