I was right on Sienna’s heels, and saw the shocked expressions on my parents’ faces.
“He says he’s going to protect her instead of handing her over. And he thinks she’s his mate!”
My mother and father exchanged glances.
“But, if she’s already Damien Alpha’s mate, she can’t be Jake’s,” my mother said.
“Exactly! Which means Amelia has, I don’t know, put a spell on him or something. You should see the way she looks at him, acting like a victim while she flirts with him. She’s clearly manipulating him - and he’s obviously not in his right mind right now.”
I stared at my sister, rage competing with feeling absolutely dumbfounded. My sister has always been very excitable, and quick to judge people, but this was beyond anything she’d ever done before.
