chapter 22

neal.

the night was going good. piper had a little buzz going so she has been teasing me and the alcohol I have drank isn't helping me self control of actually staying here but I'd hate to ruin her night when she looks like she's having fun letting lose with Maddy and addie.

the girls make their way to the restroom but not before I pulled her body into mine and claimed her lips. letting everyone around know she's definitely off limits. the girls giggled as she blushed I sent her a wink before Maddy pulled her away.

snake, blade, me and a newer guy named bill are sitting around enjoying a drink and a rest while the girls are gone

" so bill how have your first couple of weeks been?" I ask him.

he's a young kid hardly 18 with shitty parents, he ended up in some trouble and some how found his way our direction trying to get his life back on track. he's not a bad kid from what I can tell just a rough start, he had come here looking for a job because some chick claimed she was pregnant with his baby but a week ago her found out that was a lie to get some money from him.

" so far its been good, really excited work in the garage though" he replies and I nod my head

I'd given him a little grunt work to get him started and told him if he could stay clean long enough wed try him out in the garage and see if we can't teach him a life skill.

" won't be long and as long as you keep clean we will keep to our word"

he nods his head

suddenly my nose is filled with a strong perfume and my ears with a horrid laugh that sound like nails on a chalk board as her hands land on my arm and thigh.

I turn my attention to my left side and Goran as I roll my eyes

" how the f**k did you get in here Zoe?" I grit out

and she once again giggled

" oh hun I just came to see you for your birthday"

I pull my arm from her hand and move a little but she's stuck to me

" you weren't invited I'd suggest you leave"

she pouts as she looks around at the guys blade and snake are sending glares while the poor new guy has is mouth hung open, I get it her fake boobs are basically falling out of the right dress she's wearing. hell I paid for them and didn't even actually enjoy them.

I'm trying to ignore her before I have to act an ass in front of piper and I don't want to scare her. I take a sip of my drink letting the nice burn calm me blade throws his glass down on the table and before he turns to walk away he looks me dead in my eyes " you need to deal with it before you f**k s**t up" is all he grunts out before walking away

Zoe takes that moment to hop on to the table in Front of us snake is eyeing her and the poor bill is drooling over her.

my eyes move past her where I see piper sitting at the bar next to Matthew. what the f**k is she doing with him? I watch her closely, she looks said then a small laugh leaves her as he says something to her she nods her head and I watch as he orders her another drink. she says something to him as he looks her up and down, she takes the drink as he whispers something in her ear. I down my drink beside me I hear

and I look over at bill

it'd been a great night before we came out of the bathroom and I saw them together, hes sitting there all relaxed with one arm on the back of the booth while she's got her hands on him.

I want to cry and throw up all at once, I still down at the bar ordering a drink

I let a little laugh leave me because right now I feel anything but beautiful I look over and see Matthew beside me. just great what I need right now is another guy to act an ass.

he orders me another drink and I accept it because right now I just need to feel the burn of the whiskey.he continues to try to make small talk letting me know I can do better and he'd be my friend if I needed, I just blocked him out because I'm trying to figure out what to do. do I leave? do I confront him? I just want to cry!

" babygirl what are you doing way over here?"

his voice comes from behind me and I hate that my body wants him to hold me. I turn around and roll my eyes at him

" seems you have enough company for the night"

I spit out and he sighs." listen babygirl let me explain.." I cut him off by waving a hand and downing my drink

" not in the mood buy neal I'm sure she can keep you entertained the rest of the night"

I say while hoping down from the stool and turning to walk away

he grabs my arm and my body tenses from fear

" piper ann don't walk away from me" he says low

I pull my arm from him and do just that.

I pass blade and maddy on my way out I'm trying to hard not to fall apart infront of these people. they go to stop me but I shake my head and continue walking when I make it out the door the cool air hits me and and I instantly start crying, Maddy comes from behind me and wraps me in a hug

" shh what happened?" she says

and I shake my head trying to stop the tears

" he's stupid for entertaining her but I really think you should talk with him"

" I think I just need to go home."

she looks me over but before she can reply his voice comes from behind her sounded all kinds of pissed off

" look I told you to deal with it and you stayed way to look entertaining the b***h you should've known how this would end . let her cool off"

I now want to kick his ass but he's right I should've gotten up before I did but honestly I'm not attracted to her anymore so I know I wouldn't fall back into her traps so I wasnt worried I just didn't stop to think how it'd look to piper

" I'm not letting her leave without talking to me"

he sighs and let's me past when I make it outside I see Maddy holding her and I hear her small sniffs f**k she's crying

" piper ann we are going to talk"

maddy turns to me she gives me a small smile before walking back inside piper turns to walk away but I grab her hand

" I said we're talking" she turns her face red from anger

" and I said I didn't feel like it. go talk to Zoe you seems to be enjoying it"

we sit and enjoy our drinks

the male voice I recognize as Matthew hollers

the female voice I recognize as Zoe says
