I woke up wrapped in neals arms I snuggled in and enjoyed his warmth for a little longer before I got up very carefully to get ready for the day.

I started my coffee and took a quick shower, throwing on a long black maxi dress and a little make up and just let my hair dry natural.

I checked go see if he was still out and he was so I made my way to the kitchen to start his birthday breakfast, turning some music on softly.

I drank my coffee while I prepared eggs, Bacon and french toast. placing his small gift on the counter. my parents would bring sadie over in a few and maddy, Kevin, and addie were supposed to come by also so we can have a birthday dinner for neal.

everything was ready and I made two plates

I looked over and saw the folder with the houses neal wants me to look at. what's the harm in looking? I thought to myself.

I flipped it open and the first one in there I fell in love with, it looked like a small cottage with a wrap around porch. the description says it's a little off the road with a fenced in yard and a pool. but I also saw the massive price tag.

I felt neals arms wrap around my waist as he placed a small kiss on my neck

trying to get her to look at this house with me isnt easy. I knew when I first saw it'd she'd fall in love with it like I did, it's still close to her parents and sadies school but has enough privacy we can enjoy our yard. I have a plan in my mind about everything but now I've just gotta get it going. I wasn't expecting her to be up and already have breakfast made for me, I honestly wasn't sure how to react to it because I'm not used to having someone take care of me. or really even care that it's my birthday other than blade and maddy, I know they did a party last night but that was more of an excuse for then to hang out at the clubhouse and get wasted. we blew out candles and opened gifts and for the first time in my life I feel like I have a real family. sadies excitement about it all mad everything so much better.

after eating a delicious chocolate cake that Mrs sherry made with the help of my pea I was in the kitchen putting a few things away when a voice comes from behind me

Mrs sheet says and I turn and I see her teary eyes while her husband is holding her hand I give them both a small smile nodding my head

" I'm very surprised she did honestly, I don't have much to offer ma'am, sir. but I do love them both I can promise you that. and thank you for accepting me, even though well I'm not the best choice for her"

her mom waves her hand shushing me and her dad chuckles

" you have no idea how happy we are that she's finally happy again. that she finally glowing again. I thought she'd never be this way again."

her mom says and I smile

" she tells me y'all are looking at a house soon?"

her mom is crying and I can see her dad is trying hard to hold his back

" now let's hope this house tour goes as planned because that's how I plan on doing it"

" I also let her know she has the option to stop working and focus on school and pea. I know that's a big step for her seeing as she's always done this on her own but I wanted you to hear it from me. I'm not trying to keep her from her life just trying to lighten the load while she finishes her degree she's been after"

her mom is crying again

" neal she's a smart girl and stubborn as a mule. but I believe you have her best interest in mind and I also believe her working being a mom and taking full classes is a lot. we didn't know you'd offered to take care of her she left that part out"

I can't help but laugh and shake my head

" I figured she did."

he laughs

" just give her time to adjust to have you being an actual stable man in her life and she will see her not working isn't the end of the world. she's still worried your gonna bolt at any second. or change your ways"

her mom says whispering the last part.

I nod my head in understanding.

we all say our goodbyes and I can't stop thinking everyone for being her and of course he'd parents for their support.

once she's got sadie cleaned up and in bed I take over story time while piper watches us both I can tell she wants to say something but doesn't.

we tuck her in and enjoy a shower together falling once again into each other's arms but this time with passion me trying to show her how much she means to me.

once we finally crawl into bed I pull her tight into my arms.

she giggles

" I'm glad you enjoyed it"

I kiss her head.

" piper don't ever leave me. please"

I whisper and I feel her tighten her arms around me

" thank you. thank you for calling me peas dad. it truly means the world to me". she lifts up and kisses me hard before pulling away and looking at me chest

" I'm sorry for being so stubborn about it, I know she thinks of you as her dad and I know that y'all have bonded but I am still worried ya know?"

" I completely understand and I will continue to go at your pace babygirl. you don't have to explain things to me because she's yours and you've done all the hard work here."
