Castriel stare at the little guy sitting on the chair in front of him while it's enjoying the snacks. He really resemble him. His hair, eyes, nose, and the shape of its face, while the others, it resemble Querencia's face, but it's only the lips and eye color.
“Uhm... Galit parin po ba kayo sa 'kin?” biglang tanong nito na nagpatigil sa kanya sa pagtitig dito.
Ipinag-krus niya ang mga braso. “Bakit naman ako magagalit sayo?” tanong niya pabalik.
If his memory serves him right. His name is Syriel— sounds like Castriel. Is it a coincidence or the lady really meant it?
Syriel pouted and it really resemble Querencia's pouting lips. That woman can't really control her expression sometimes.
“Kasi tinawag ko kayong papa?” nag-aalangan nitong tugon.
Napabuntong-hininga siya. “Hindi ko iyan ikakagalit. Pero kung masama ang hangarin mo kaya mo ako tinawag ng ganyan, hindi kita mapapa—” sh*t! Why can't he speak direct words in front of this kid?! Is it because it's a kid or it is because of that woman's warning?
Tumikhim siya. “Ibig kong sabihin, saka lang ako magagalit kapag masama ang plano mo. Naiintindihan mo ba?” mahinahon niyang saad rito at mabilis naman na tumango ang bata na tila ba mabilis nitong naintindihan ang sinabi niya.
“Mayron akong tanong. May sinabi ba ang binibini tungkol sa 'kin?” he wants to know if that woman say something about him to others. He wants to know if she revealed that he's the one who's following her that day.
He can ask him freely this time because Querencia wasn't around, she excused herself a while ago.
Umaktong nag-isip si Syriel. “Uhm...wala po.” saad nito habang umiiling at mukha itong nagsasabi ng totoo
“Kung gano'n, paano mo nalamang ako yung kasama ng binibini?” tanong niya ulit.
Bigla namang ngumiti si Syriel na saglit niyang ikinatigil. “May koneksyon kayo ni Ate, Papa. At ako lang po ang nakakaalam do'n.” hindi parin nawawala ang ngiti nito sa labi at mukhang may malalim na kahulugan ang sinabi nito.
He's confused for a moment. What connection is he talking about?
“Pasensya na at napaghintay ko kayo, My Lord.” biglang saad ni Querencia na kakarating lang. Namamawis ito at namumutla.
“What happened to you?” kunot noo niyang tanong. At mas lalo namang nangunot ito nang mapansin na naman niya kung ano ang lumalabas na awra sa katawan nito. Divine power is leaking from her body. Saglit itong napangiwi at mabilis na umupo sa upuan. “It's nothing, My Lord. I just had a little stomach ache, but now, it's gone.” nakangiti na nitong sabi at umaktong parang walang nangyari. Mabilis naman itong inabutan ni Syriel ng juice na kaagad rin nitong ininom.
After a moment, he smell something. It's a smell of vomit and it's from the Miss. Is it the reason why she's pale and sweating?
Akmang magsasalita siya ngunit bigla nalang dumating ang isa sa mga kawal niya. “Your excellency! Your excellency!” nagmamadali itong lumapit sa kanya ngunit agad ring napatigil. “P-paumanhin sa aking pang-aabala, My Lord. Ngunit m-mayron po akong mahalagang sasabihin sa inyo.” humahangos nitong sabi kaya agad siyang na alerto. Mukhang mayrong nangyaring masama.
Mabilis siyang tumayo saka bumaling sa binibini. “Pardon me for excusing myself, Miss. But it'll just took a second.” saad niya na mabilis nitong tinanguan.
“I understand, My Lord.” magalang nitong sabi habang nakangiti.
Bahagyan lang siyang tumango saka naglakad na palabas ng greenhouse. Sumunod ang kawal sa kanya at saka lang nito sinabi ang mahalagang sasabihin nito.
“Speak what is it.” aniya.
Nanginginig ito sa kaba. “May natanggap kaming balita ngayon-ngayon lang, My Lord. May nagsidatingan daw na mga halimaw sa bayan at nasira po ang portal. Ang hinala po nila ay mayrong nagpapasok ng mga halimaw doon kaya ito nasira. At kasalukuyan pong nasa teritoryo ni Viscount Lhargbill ang ilan sa mga ito.” balita nito.
Ang teritoryo ng Viscount ang unang nasasalakay ng mga halimaw dahil hindi malakas ang seguridad sa lugar nito. At kung dumami man at lumakas ang mga halimaw, sa teritoryo na niya ito pupunta.
“Ihanda ang mga kawal. Panatilihin mo rin ang koneksyon sa viscount at alamin kung ano na ang sitwasyon nila.” utos niya rito at mabilis naman itong sumunod. Umalis na ang kawal at bumalik naman siya sa loob ng greenhouse. Kailangan niyang sabihan ang binibini.
“Miss Lynn. I think your preparation to come back at your territory will be delayed. There's a ruckus at the territory of the Viscount right now. And the portal that will take you back got destroyed.” saad niya at napatanga naman ito.
“What happened, My Lord?” she asked while frowning.
He blew a loud breath. “Monsters are invading the Viscount's territory right now. So it's dangerous.” he said in a serious tone.
The lady got a confused and a worried-look is written on her face. He expected her to be scared but he can't see any traces of it.
She stood up. “T-then what should we do? Uhm...” her reaction is really worried while looking at Syriel and him.
“You don't have to worry.” he said as if trying to make her feel at ease, then, he glanced at the maid that's standing not to far. “Guide the Lady to the room that she's using when she first stay here.” he ordered and the maid bow immediately.
As the maid guide them at the entrance that is connected to the manor, he turned his back and teleported to the training ground where the knights gather.
“Your excellency.” his right hand man bowed as he walked towards the railing.
“Any news?” tanong niya.
Mabilis na umiling ang kanyang kanang kamay na si Tyrone. “Nothing, Your Grace. I guess the viscount was still keeping his pride.” anito.
Napahilot siya sa kanyang noo. “We still need to prepare. We shall not let the history repeat itself.” kumuyom ang kanyang kamao saka tumingin sa ibaba kung saan nakatayo ang mga kawal at naghihintay sa sasabihin niya.
He let go a deep sighed before he speak. “Wolreign Knights. This time, we need to prepare. We can't let our territory to be damage again. The group of Alpha, I ordered you to guard the Archduchy. Beta and omega, I ordered you to strengthen the barrier. That's my order for now. As you protect the Archduchy, don't forget your families.” he said and all of the knight respond.
”For the safety of the Archduchy of Wolreign!” the knights cheered then followed his order.
Tumingala siya sa itaas saka tinignan ang makulimlim na kalangitan. Nagbabadya ito ng panganib.
“We should not let our guard down.” bulong niya saka tumalikod na at sinimulan ang tungkulin bilang isang pinuno.
Ayaw niyang mangyari ulit ang napagdaanan ng teritoryo niya. Kailangan niya itong protektahan sa abot ng kanyang makakaya.
