The Alpha’s Healer Mate

Here in Whole Moon, I am known as the Alpha’s daughter. The oldest child of the Alpha and Luna, the healer to the pack. Being a healer is an amazing role in the pack. The problem lies in the fact that other packs want healers too. There is a short supply of healers and this makes other packs want healers, healers strengthen a pack and other packs are willing to kill others for a chance to obtain a healer. The history of healers is well known among the packs, the Moon Goddess decided that her beloved wolves needed someone to help them when they got injured. She decided to create someone who was kind, loving, and caring to her wolves. The problem that seemed to happen is that her wolves fell in love with the healer, they wanted her for themselves. The Moon Goddess decided to take pity on her creation the wolves and gave them a human form. She then took the healer and gave her a wolf spirit. The one wolf she found worthy of the healer was the alpha of the pack. He was strong and able to take care of the healer; they are known as the first mates. What history has shown since then is that every time a healer was identified, once she turned 18 and ready to take a mate, a wolf in a different pack would get jealous and want the healer for themselves. These wolves would take it upon themselves to kidnap the healer and would force a mating bond onto the healer, even if they were not her destined mate. She would then be forced to mate with the wolf who would claim her and then she would have to stay with that pack. This is the reason I have been in hiding for so many years. My parents have forbidden any of our pack members from sharing that I am a healer. Since my parents are the Alpha and Luna of the pack, the pack members have no choice but to obey the command. I have hidden in plain sight among the other packs for 19 years. To everyone outside of the pack, I am just known as the Alpha of Whole Moon’s daughter, someone who fights with her pack, and is willing to protect them with everything she has. Tomorrow we are traveling to the Blood Ray pack to form an alliance. I normally would not attend such events, but my father is giving me more responsibilities and as such, he has me going as part of the guard patrol. He wants me to see what other packs are like. He says this will “help me to understand our pack life more”, whatever that means. For some reason, my wolf is on edge and almost anticipating something. I hope it is a good ole fight or sparring session. I may be a healer, but since the first healer, healers have become more kick ass than they used to be. I’m assuming the Moon Goddess did this so that way we can protect ourselves better. I guess we shall see what happens when that time comes, I just hope I am ready for whatever it is.
