His Conditions

She bravely stared back at him while walking towards his direction. When she was already standing in front of him, she didn’t waste time.
“What’s your condition, Mr. Stevens?”
Kai gave her a mysterious smile and stood. He went to the bar area of his office and took out two glasses and wine.
“Are you in a hurry? Let’s have a drink first.” He said while pouring the glasses with wine.
Emily felt irritated on how he ignored her question.
Kai looked at her when she did not answer. He walked towards her, carrying the glasses. When he offered it to her, she just stared at him.
“I’m not here to drink with you, Mr. Stevens. I’m here to know your condition.”
“Conditions, Ms. Emily Fort. Not one, but several.” Kai said as he put down the glasses of wine on his table.
“What are your conditions?”
Kai went back to his chair to sit and pulled his drawer. Then, he brought out a folder.
“Sit down, Emily.”
“Don’t call me that. We’re not friends.”
“I will call you any way I want to. No, we’re not friends. We were lovers.” He was mocking her.
“I prefer standing.”
“Sit down, Emily. Don’t test my patience or else I will not give you this folder.”
She did as he said. When she was already seated, he handed her the folder.

Kai couldn’t help but smile secretly. Ah, Emily Fort was here in his office.
She looked simple today but still oozing with beauty and appeal. He knew the moment she came inside his building.
He was staring intently on her face in the CCTV camera. He saw how she walked and how she talked to Peter. He saw her movements. He saw everything about her.
And he felt excited. He would see more of her on the upcoming days.
“Are you out of your mind??!!!!” Emily screamed at him. He could see her face turning red with fury.
Emily felt like her head was going to burst. Her body was shaking with so much anger.
His conditions were absurd! No, impossible!
She looked at him with fire in her eyes. She wanted to tear the papers, but she reminded herself to be calm.
Kai was playing with his pen and was giving her his mysterious smile. His arrogance was too much!
“Deal?”
“You are out of your mind if you think I’ll give in to your conditions.”
“Emily, you’re just gonna spend 30 days with me. You’ll stay at my place and sleep beside me. How difficult is that? We spent more than 30 days together before.” He said with a malicious smile etched on his face.
She knew what he was trying to imply.
“What the hell do you want from me, Kai Stevens?”
He smiled and studied her face. “Isn’t it obvious? I want you.”
“You had me before, or have you forgotten? Have you ever thought if I would even want to spend more minutes with you?”
“Listen here, Ms. Emily. What you want doesn’t matter here. What I want does. And as of now, I want you.”
She stood and was about to leave when he said,
“Think about it. 30 days with me and in exchange, you will have Elise Enterprise. All of it.”
She ignored him and continued to leave.
“If you do not say yes to this, it can only mean one thing.” He waited for her to look back at him.
When she did…
“You haven’t really moved on from me.”
She stared at him for a few seconds and turned to leave.

Kai stared at the closed door of his office, thinking about his meeting with Emily.
He was not certain if Emily would agree with the conditions he had given.
He took a glance at the glass of wine that he offered to Emily but was left untouched by her.
He heaved a heavy sigh. No, she had to agree.
Why? the question popped up in his mind.
He himself couldn’t understand why he had made those conditions. In fact, he could have more than one woman in 30 days to do whatever he wanted. These women would even offer everything they had just to be with him.
Aaaah, he only wanted Emily. He wanted all of her.
He could arrive at the reasons behind his actions after she spends those 30 days with him.
For now, he was just going to wait. But he was not going to wait that long. She had to decide as soon as possible.

“His conditions are crazy, Almira. I don’t think I can do it.” She was very furious after meeting with Kai that she decided to go straight to her penthouse and called Almira.
“I understand, Emily. How dare that man! He’s pure evil. Well, we just have to accept the reality. Don’t think about it anymore.”

They said their goodbyes and Emily was about to get a glass of wine when her phone suddenly rang.
When she checked the screen, the number was unregistered in her contacts.
“Hello? Who’s this?” She asked right away.
“Have you forgotten my voice already?” Then he chuckled.
Kai Stevens!
“How did you get my number?!”
“That’s not important. I’ve called to inform you that I am only giving you until tomorrow to decide. Think about it carefully before making any final decision, my Emily. Save my number.”
Then he ended the call without waiting for her response. This rude man!
