CHAPTER 8 LIV

I was so tired when i had gone to take a shower i had forgotten to grab clothes. Im so glade i have a bathroom attached to the master bedroom. Pulling my towel around me i walked into my room totally forgetting about max i didnt even notice him in him in the room until i had dropped my towel to put on my clothes the sexyest growle came from behind me i had never thought a growl could be such a turn on. I turned around naked to look at him not evn trying to cover my self up “olivia if you dont want me to take you right here right now and mark you as mine i need you to put some cloths on” before he had finished the sentence i was half dressed his eyes were dark with desire his whole body is tense a few of his dark curls falling over his forehead. This man is so hot but im to tired to try and flirt or think for that matter. “All done see no need to do anything im ready for bed” i grabbed an extra blanket from my closet and throw it at him. “Whats this for?” his confusions cute “i told you no funny business and if we are sharing a bed then you sleeep on top of the ones im under and with your own” he rolls his eyes and does as i say “you know one day you will feel the bond and i wont have to do this” hes lays down on his side looking at me “max i know how this all works i watch rain and john but its harder for me i have the kids to think about. If they dont approve i dont know what to do. I dont want bec and owen to feel like im going to abandon them for my mate. They need me” i look away i cant look at his face i dont want to hurt him but i cant do this unless the kids are ok with it. Max lifts my chin with his fingers for me to look in his eyes i want to cry. I dont even really know this man and i feel like i cant even breath with out him. “Olivia i understand we can take this slow and get there blessing. I will always be there for them and protect them the same will i will you” he sounds so honest his hand is still on my face so i turn it to kiss his hand “thank you max” then lay my head down and let sleep take me.

The next morning i wake up to just me in my bed max gone. A pain sears in my chest i know i shouldnt feel that way he probably had a call in the middle of the night. I got out of bed did my morning routine then went to the kitchen to get coffee. I hear laughter from the kitchen as i leave the hallway. I stop and listen owen and bec are both laughing god its been so long since i have hear a real lough from them both. “Zeb max is going to rip you head off” bec is laughing still “but bec dont you think its unfair liv is stuck with this stick in the mud he cant even cook” i hold back my own laugh with my hand over my mouth “zeb you sat there while max cooked you just made coffee this tast fine to me” owen was walking to the living room with a plate of food as zeb fake gasps “morning aunt liv” owen says as i finally walk in “morning every one max grabs zeb by the back of his shirt when he trys to get up and run to me bec laughs max rolls his eyes “max let go my princess is here i need to see her” hes pouting playfully “ o zeb you are to much but if im your princess wheres my coffee and my plate i shall be waiting at the table” waving a hand like i was a princess and walking to sit at the table getting a good laugh from bec when zeb bows and then asks bec how i like my coffee. Max comes to sit next to me with a plate of bacon eggs and french toast “thank you for breakfast” max nodd sits next to me with his arm on the back of my chair while i eat “ for you my princess” zeb hands me my coffee i roll my eyes at him but continue to smile. Zeb continues to mess with max who seems to just ignor him except a few slaps up side the head to get him to shut up.

Its been a week and no sign of the psycho cougar no attacks nothing its like he feel off the face of the earth. Max tracked him from the abandon wear house to the old mines 5 miles from my house. Max and i have been getting to know each other bec has warmed up to him and owen looks at him like hes a hero. From what i have learned max was a lone wolf before he meet todd and stella who of course welcomed to there pack with open arms he became a deputy since most of the police department in spring haven are shifters some humans i even hear a witch or two worked in the cold case department. Todd had found max at the bar in the next town over max had been pass through and Todd was tracking a shifter who had broke the law. Max had proven how helpful in apprehending the shifter and Todd asked max to stay with the pack and become a deputy at the station. Max had no family left but soon became part of Todd and Stella's. Now apart of mine.
