Clara's POV

I decided to just take a walk on earth after I left Jason’s place, it feels so good.

I shouldn’t leave the palace like this when we have many enemies as it is. I wouldn’t want anything to happen to my people due to my habit of leaving the kingdom whenever I feel like.

"The council members have been waiting for you, Your Majesty" a maid told me immediately I got back in making me scoff

So I can't have time for myself just because I'm a queen? Why should they come everytime?

I went into my Chambers and changed into my court dress before going to meet them.

"Your Majesty!" they greeted standing with their head bowed

"So...to what do I owe this visit?" I asked after they sat

"We know we won the war Your Highness but Richard and some of his men are still out there. We need to find and kill them before they become strong again."

"You're right! So, which one of you is willing to search for them? Or do you expect me to find them for you?" I asked with raised brows

"N.. no Your Highness" they stuttered

"Good! Who is going to take up the responsibility?" I asked looking from one person to the other

They looked everywhere apart from my face and cleared their throats before finally bowing their head.

"Looks like none of you is bold enough to do that then why did you suggest it in the first place? Let me guess!

You want me to go after Richard while you just sit comfortably in your various houses. Well.......sorry to burst your bubble, that won't be happening.

I'm giving the mission to all of you. Find Richard within seven days or I will replace everyone of you!" I ordered and left the hall

That girl with Jason seemed dangerous. I don't know but I felt somehow around her. I think I have to warn Jason to stay away from her.

June's POV

Now I can be sure something is really wrong with Jason. How can he suddenly ask out of the blue if I'm human or not? It just doesn't make sense.

It's either Jason is also hiding something from me or I was right about hearing a lady's voice in his room because he started behaving strangely after that.

Or what if my eyes changed when we were together? No, that's not possible!

Even if my eyes changed, the question should be "what happened to your eyes?" Not "are you human?"

Gosh! This isn't what I'm supposed to be thinking about right now. I will be going to battle soon so the right thing to do now is sharpen my fighting skills.

I sighed tiredly and went to the training ground. I must end Clara and take over her kingdom no matter what it takes. Dad will definitely be proud of me!

Jason's POV

I waited in my room after June left hoping Clara will show up like she did before but I didn't see her.

Why does she always appear and disappear whenever she pleases? Besides, how was she able to enter my room without opening the door?

Gosh! This girl is making me scared already. How can a normal human being enter a room without opening the door? If the person is a ghost, it's still understandable or is she a ghost?

Those men that I asked to find out about her are really annoying me. I should call them.

"Good day sir!"

"There's nothing good about the day" I snapped at them

"If it's about Clara sir, we're trying our best. We've searched the whole of the country but we didn't see anyone that looks like her.

We've even searched two nearby countries and we still found nothing. We are about to begin searching another country" they explained

"What?!! How is that possible? I still saw her today!"

"Really? Where did you see her?"

"In my mansion"

"Sorry to say this sir but maybe she isn't the one. I'm telling you we've searched the whole country but we didn't even see anyone that looks like her"

"Okay, I understand" I said and ended the call

What if the girl that came to me today isn't Clara? I'm really scared right now! I won't be able to sleep at home today.

I quickly took some of my clothes and headed to my friends place. I'm going to stay there for the mean time.

Richard's POV

I and my men have been walking in this thick forest for days now. We don't even know if it has an end or not!

After Clara and her men subdued us, I couldn't return to our kingdom because father is going to strip me of my position immediately.

Going to fight your enemies while they're asleep is a cowardly act but when your enemies win you in the fight, it's the most disgraceful thing.

Clara has made me a laughing stock and I will never stop until I make her pay.

I will go to a place that is not too far from here, train my guards and recruit more men before going to exact revenge on Clara.

I'm going to endure the suffering and humiliation for now and then I will make Clara pay dearly with her life.

"There's a village at the front Your Highness, we just need to endure a little more" one of the warriors said with a smile

I looked ahead of me and truly, there was a village ahead of us. We're almost there!

"Listen up everyone! Clara and her men think they've defeated is but we're going to show them that we can't be defeated easily.

Once we get to that village, we will sharpen our fighting skills, add more men to ourselves and finally take our revenge"

"Yay!!!!!" they shouted happily

"So you don't need to panic. Once we leave this forest alive, we will work on how to make them pay. Let's go!"

We had not taken more than three steps when we were suddenly surrounded by some men. Who are they?

"Kill them all!" their leader ordered

No! I can't die like this. I have to make Clara pay or else I won't be able to rest in peace.

I quickly went to one of my men that has been killed and rubbed his blood on my body. I will have to pretend like I'm dead until they leave.

"Find the leader! We have to double-check and make sure he's really dead" the leader said again after they've probably killed my men

O boy, this is not good! I shut my eyes tightly and awaited my fate.

"Looks like he's dead already! Stab his leg to confirm he's really dead" he ordered

Oh goodness! I can't blow my cover now so they won't kill me. I have to endure so I can take my revenge.

I heard footsteps coming closer and I figured the guard is really going to stab me. I bite my teeth hard and shut my eyes tightly as the guard stabbed me deeply.

I was tempted to shout but then I swallowed it in.

"Good. Let's go!"

After minutes of waiting without hearing anything, I opened my eyes and sat up. This pain is unbearable!

I guess I have to go to the village we saw the other time so I can get myself treated.

I will get rid of Clara tomorrow night unfailingly. Get ready for an important guest soon Clara!
