I'm in love with someone

Clara’s POV

I stared at the boy seated beside me in shock. How the hell did he know my name?

I haven’t said a word ever since I got here and from the look of things, he’s not a vampire. Even if he was a vampire, there’s no way he could have known my name except if he has special abilities.

“Who are you?” I asked after staring at him for a while

“Oh my God! Your voice is really beautiful! As for who I am, I’m Jason Smith!” he said with a wide smile stretching his hand for a shake.

I just rolled my eyes, stood up and started walking away. I don’t have it in mind to disappear today, I will probably make this Jason my human friend.

“Hey! Wait up!” he shouted running after me

"You’re really mean, you know?” he said breathlessly when he finally caught up with me

“Don’t you talk? You act like you’re new here. With just a snap of my fingers, I can have you thrown out of this country” he said making me stop walking

I stared at him for a while and continued walking.

“You don’t walk out on me when I’m talking to you” he yelled holding my hand

I quickly withdrew my hand when I felt a spark and it seems he felt it too because he took his hand behind him. Tell me it’s not what I’m thinking.

My parents told me before they died that if I find my soulmate, there’s another way to be sure he’s the one and that’s by holding his hand. If we both feel a spark, then he’s the right person.

“Who are you? Don’t tell me you are Jason Smith because that’s not what I want to hear”

“Then what should I tell you? Should I tell you I’m the son of one of the richest billionaire around?” he asked with sacarsm in his voice

“No. Not that! Are you human?” I asked while he just stared at me like I asked the most ridiculous question he has ever heard

“If I’m not human, then what am I?” he asked with a scoff

“You might be a werewolf, vampire, mermaid or whatever” I said with a shrug

“Do you believe in those things?” we were seated under a tree at that time

“Of course! So you think they don’t exist?”

“They don’t or are you one?” he asked staring keenly at me

“No, but I believe they exist”

“Have you seen one before?”

“No”

“Then why do you think they exist?”

“I don’t know; I just feel they exist. I will take my leave now” I said standing on my feet

“Wait! You haven’t told me your name and where you live”

“Clara! My name is Clara”

“Clara what?”

“That’s the only one I can tell you now. Maybe I will tell you my surname when next we meet”

“Okay. How about where you live?”

“I can’t tell you that too. Bye” I waved at him and ran off with my vampire speed.

Jason’s POV

I smiled satisfactorily at myself. Thank goodness I was able to talk to her this time. She’s really beautiful but why did I feel that way when we held hands?

It’s probably nothing. What I should focus on now is getting information about her; like where she lives and who her father is. I’m sure she must be the daughter of a really rich man because of how fair and smooth her skin looked.

“Good day detective” I said into the phone

“Good day sir! We still haven’t…….” the detective was saying but I cut him off

“I found her name but It’s only her first name and it’s Clara. Find out everything about her”

“On it sir! Were you able to get her picture?”

“No, but if you come to the park, you could check the CCTV cameras” I suggested

“Thanks sir. You will get a feedback soon” he assured before ending the call

I can’t wait to find out whose daughter she is so I can get to see her everyday.

I smiled sheepishly to myself, got into my car and drove off!

June’s POV

I’m going to be leading a war in few days’ time so I have to train hard because the person I will be dealing with is really powerful.

I practiced for about three hours before deciding to rest. I think I should go to Jason’s mansion because I’m so bored here.

I wore my clothes and drove to his house. After driving for few minutes, I got to his house because it’s not far from each other.

“Hey baby!” I greeted hugging him

“How are you doing June?” he asked turning to face me after pulling out of the hug

“Fine. I didn’t even know you will be at home, I just decided to check you at home first before going to your company. Why are you at home?”

“There’s something I’m supposed to have told you but I will tell you now. Let me just change my clothes, I will be back in a jiffy” he said and went upstairs

What does he wants to tell me? Well, I guess I will just have to wait for him to return. I stood up and went to take a drink in the fridge

*Minutes later*

“I’m back! Sorry I kept you waiting” he said taking a sit beside me

“It’s okay. So…. What do you want to tell me?”

“I’ve fallen in love with someone” he said and I felt my head spin

It took everything in me not to faint. He has fallen in love with someone? Just when I thought it was two of us left? That person is going to regret ever meeting him!

“June!” Jason called startling me

“Huh?” I answered snapping out of my thoughts

“Why aren’t you saying anything?”

“Uhhm….. That’s great” I managed to say “What is her name?” I asked like I was interested but deep down, I just want to strangle that girl

“Her name is just as beautiful as she is” he said dreamily making me angrier “Clara! What a special name” he cooed

Clara! Clara!! I’ve heard that name somewhere, but where? Ohh….. I remember now! The Queen of that wicked kingdom that I want to fight with! My dad told me her name is Clara. Could she be the same Clara or it’s just a coincidence?

“This Clara, what’s her surname?” I asked Jason

“I don’t know yet but I’m going to ask her when next I see her” he answered full of smiles

“Ohh….. can you tell me her surname after you find out?”

“Hmm… why are you interested in knowing her surname?” Jason asked suspiciously

“Nothing. I just want to know, but it’s okay if you don’t want to tell me”

“I will tell you when I find out, I was only joking” he said with a small smile

“Thank you! I have to go now” I said standing up

“So soon? Why did you come in the first place? You should have just stayed at home instead” he said folding his hands with pouted lips

“Fine then! I will stay with you for an hour”

“Just go! If my Clara was here, I’m sure she wouldn’t leave me” he said and I felt anger surge through me

Is he going to mention her name every second now?

“I’m sorry Jason, okay?” I apologized giving him my best puppy face

“Alright. You know I can’t get angry at you for too long”

“Yeah. Let me cook something for you” I said with a wink and left

“Don’t cook poison for me there” Jason shouted from the sitting room

Jason was right when he said I can’t cook anything. To me, cooking is the most stressful thing to do especially slicing onions and I don’t like stressing myself.

I’m just going to employ a maid that will do the house chores and also cook when I get married.
