Asking Her Out and Sheila

I was waiting when they walked over to where I was standing " thank you for a very nice evening Letti, I had a really great time " she chuckled " thanks Ray, that wasn't bad as far as first dates go " he paused and turned her to look at him " you're kidding me! This is your first date like ever? " she looked down at her shoes and said " yeah, I kinda keep to myself and the guys in the pack don't really want anything to do with me " that burned but I kept my mouth shut. " Are they all blind? " she giggled " its complicated Ray " he looked her up and down, " I don't get it but if you say so, all I know is if I lived in close proximity to you I'd be chasing you around the neighborhood like a randy 17 year old " she laughed out loud and told him thanks for dinner and she would call him.

She walked over to me " hey Ted, hope you weren't waiting too long " I sighed and told her I wasn't. She started to walk and I fell into step with her, I asked her if I could hold her hand and she held it out to me, I felt a thousand feet tall when I took it in mine. " Hey Leticia....I'm sorry " she stopped walking and looked at me all confused " about what? " I put my hands in my pockets and then took one of her hands again " I should've been your first date, 5 years ago, when I first found out you were my mate " She squeezed my hand " Ted, it's ok " she sighed " I've made my peace with what has happened, I haven't fully forgiven you but I do understand why you did it " I shook my head " no honey I was an ass, I should've immediately told you we were mates and claimed you as mine, I do love you although it may not look that way " she sighed " I know you have feelings for me Ted, if you didn't you would've rejected me immediately after you found out the pack pariah was your mate " I squeezed her hand " stop talking about your self that way please, after all if I have my way you'll be the pack's beta female soon ". She smirked and said " you wish " I chuckled and we continued walking until we could see her cottage, when we got up on her porch and she unlocked her door I grabbed her hand and pulled her into my chest. Leticia can I please kiss you? " she looked me deep in my eyes and then she nodded yes, i wrapped my hand around her waist and slammed my lips unto hers, somewhere along the way someone moaned and i slipped my tongue into her mouth, she moaned and brought her arms up and around my shoulders, playing with the hair at the nape of my neck, then I moaned. " Letti...baby if you don't stop that things are going to get real hot real fast " she blushed and hid her face in my shoulder, I lifted her face and gave her a quick peck on the lips. She unlocked her door and I braced my self for the black blur AKA Shadow, he blew through the door and ran circles around Leticia and I until he settled between us and we both petted and scratched him to his content. We both laughed at him as he seemed to get tired of us and went back in the house, we stepped inside and Leticia asked me if wanted something to drink. I told her I should get back to the pack house and report to Alpha. She walked me back to the door, I gave her a quick kiss and when I was sure she had locked both locks on her door I started to run back to the pack house.

As I was walking up the steps to the pack house Sheila Lumas who I'm sorry to say was the pack slut, approached me " hi Teddy bear " I rolled my eyes " goodnight Sheila " I tried to walk away and she got in my way, I let out an exasperated breath, I hate when she calls me that s**t " Sheila I have to go report to Alpha, please let me by " she smiled and tried to run her hands across my chest " I stepped back, avoiding her touch " c'mon Teddy bear, it's not like we have mates, we can keep each other company until we find them " I almost told her I have found mine, but knowing her and what she's like, she would harass Letti and I wouldn't allow that. Sheila wanted position and power and she thought she could sleep her way to the top. She tried to seduce Alpha Thomas and Luna Christie almost killed her, when that didn't pan out she approached Rick, who got what he wanted from her and told her in no uncertain terms that his mate and ONLY his mate would be his luna. She even tried my dad, who laughed in her face and told her to go see if she could get into trouble elsewhere. I walked away from her and she ran around and stood in front of me again, " Teddy bear...who were you with, you've got some female's scent all over you, whose is it? " I laughed " Sheila, what the hell makes you think that who I spend my time with is any business of yours, you're....not....my.....mate, now move out of way before I move you " I growled and she jumped and moved out of my damn way.

I had spoken to the Alpha and my dad, about how my day went with Leticia, they seemed hopeful about how our courtship was progressing thus far. I went to my room and took a shower and remembered I had wanted to ask her out, I got my phone out and I called her " hello Ted, did you forget something " I cleared my throat " yes I wanted to ask you if you would go out with me....please " I heard silence and was very nervous until she softly replied " yes " I pumped my fist in the air and then got embarrassed, good thing she couldn't see me " thank you, how are you working tomorrow? " she seemed to be thinking " well I haven't taken an off day in 3 years and since I'm now the owner I guess I can ask someone to take my shift and take a day off tomorrow and spend some time with my mate ". I was overjoyed that she referred to me as her mate, " ok I'll be at your place around 11am, it's a lunch date " she chuckled " life is very funny " I asked her how so, she said " my whole life has been one of solitude, I never had any friends to speak of and once people realised I didnt have a wolf ot got worse. Hell my own parents disowned me and asked me to leave their house, now I live on the outskirts of the pack and spend most of my time in town or alone at home with Shadow " she laughed " who would've thought that on the cusp of my 21st birthday I'd have two hot men trying to date me ". I stopped breathing " you think he's hot? Wait....you think I'm hot? " she laughed and I felt a bit embarrassed " I've always found you attractive Ted, but I was waiting for my mate so I would've never acted on it " I sighed, I wish I could touch her right now, I've restrained myself for so long, now that she knows I just want to be around her every minute of every day. Next step get her to feel the way I do and announce it to the pack, " Ted...are you still there " dammit I forgot I was talking to her while day dreaming about her " yeah I'm here, well I'll see you tomorrow for our date " she giggled, it was the best sound in the world to me " ok see you tomorrow " after we hung up, I lay back on the bed with my hand under my head and thought about tomorrow. I hope it goes well and she warms up to me some more, I close my eyes and drift off willing the sun to hurry up and rise so I can get things in order.

I was nervous as s**t, hardly slept so I decided to go to morning training and maybe take an early morning run. I put on shorts and ran down to the training field, on my way down there I saw Sheila sneaking out of the delta's room and I chuckled. Thank goddess she found someone to annoy besides me, I thought I was gonna have to ask the Alpha to banish her. I chuckled and headed to the training ground to get in an early session, the only ones usually out there this early are my dad, the Alpha and sometimes Rick. When I rounded the corner dad was sparring with Rick and Alpha Thomas was watching, he turned and said " aaaaah looks like I got a sparring partner after all ", he smirked at me, make no mistake Alpha Thomas isn't as young as he used to be, but he's strong and fast as hell, I don't know how this will go but I don't expect to beat him and if I do it won't be without incident or injury. We circle each other and while I'm decided which side to attack from Alpha drops to his haunches and sweeps my feet from under me, he doesnt give me time to get up and jumps on top of me pounding his fists into my face, I flip us over and give him two sharp shots to the kidneys, while he's recovering from those I stand and wait for him to get up. He stands and goes straight for my gut, gives me a quick one two combo, gut to face and lands a round house kick to my head before I snap back from the punch to the face, I give him two uppercuts and a gut punch. Don't ask me how a man that's soon to retire flipped over me and turned his body to deliver a jump kick that sent me flying out of the ring and into a fence. I got up dusted wood and debris out of my hair and off my body, Alpha Thomas was high fiving my dad and Rick was clapping " thanks Teddy, these two cowards won't spar with me any more " I smiled and shook his hand " I can see why you sneaky old wolf " we got some water and sat and talked about pack business until Rick asked me how things were progressing with Leticia. " I asked her out and she accepted, we're going on a lunch date today " they slapped me on the back and said congrats, I told them not to get too happy as she was still seeing the guy that went to high school with her. Rick asked if she was open to dating a third guy, Hayden came forth and growled at him, I reigned him in and apologised to my future Alpha, " Hayden have you gone mad, that's our future Alpha " the crazy ass wolf replied " then he should know better than to suggest anything s****l about our mate " I sighed and shook my head, he was gonna get us both killed with his insane jealousy. I told the guys I was going to go for an early morning run and be back in time to shower and get things ready for my lunch date with Leticia. They wished me luck and waited for the other members to arrive for training, I went to the edge of the woods and stripped down before shifting and letting Hayden take off for a good run.

I let Hayden out for a good run and around 9 30 we get back to the pack house and I head upstairs to shower and set things up for my lunch date with Leticia, as I get to the top of the stairs and walk the short hallway to my room I see Sheila pacing in front of my door, " heeeeey Teddy bear, I've been waiting for you " I sighed " what do you want now Sheila? ". She inched forward and tried to run her finger down my chest, I stepped back " Sheila I have told you, if it's not pack business..." she stopped me " I know, I know, I just don't understand why Teddy, why don't you want me " I didn't want to hurt her feelings " because I just don't Sheila, I'm sorry but I really don't want you " she got a really angry look on her face and she came forward and slapped me " it's another woman, I'll figure out who she is and I'll let her know you're mine " I growled and I gripped her by the throat, I lifted her off the ground " if I ever see, smell or hear that you've been anywhere near her I will end your pitiful existence. There is no us, we have never been an item, we have no relationship " " wasn't that you I saw slinking out of the delta's room this morning? " her eyes widened but she didn't speak as I was still choking her. I dropped her, she fell to her knees gasping for breath, I rolled my eyes and cleared my throat " I'm sorry Sheila but you've got to stop, just get it through your head that every man in this pack doesn't need to f**k you " I make a mental note to talk to the Alpha about her, I didn't want her crazy ass anywhere near Leticia when we finally.....hopefully go public as mates. I go into my room and take a shower, I put on a black damaged jeans and an ash grey muscle tee, grey boots to complete the look and I'm off, I get into my matte black dodge ram and I'm off to see my mate.

I pull up to Leticia's cottage and get out of my truck, hop up on her porch and knock on the door, Shadow is scratching at the door and I can hear her coming down the stairs, whe she opened the door, I looked her up and down and she did the same. We busted out laughing and she pointed at me and said " I guess there's something to be said about the mate bond after all, look at us " she was wearing a black damaged skinny jeans, an ash grey tank top tucked into her pants and grey half cut booties. We matched and we hadn't said what we would be wearing before hand, she asked if I was coming in and I told her it would be best if we just headed out, I didn't want to get her back home too late. She stepped back inside to get her purse and keys, we both scratched Shadow's ears and belly to within an inch of his life and I held her door open while she got into the truck and then I ran around and got in. I asked her if she was ready and we got on the road, I reached out and held her hand while we coasted along, it was the best feeling in the world to me.
