I didn’t notice Daisy behind me as I was busy wiping off the stains. She handed over the shopping bag to me as she asked me to get changed into the new set of clothes.
After changing, I checked my look before heading out. It was perfect. It was a black one piece with the red rose embroidered in the middle. I liked it. As I was about to head outside, I suddenly felt embarrassed remembering the incident with that man earlier. Daisy nudged my shoulders to get my attention.
I shook my head like crazy to shake off those thoughts from my mind. I looked at her with a serious look in my eyes as I gave out my orders.
“I just remembered that Mr. Zack has returned. Find his contact details and arrange an appointment with him and also fire everyone involved in the bribery.”
Daisy was stupefied hearing the name Zack, that her mouth hung wide open in the air. She calmed herself down before saying anything.
“You mean the world renowned genius cosmetic chemist Zack Swain!!?? He is well known for producing cosmetics that will absolutely become the best seller. But isn’t he way over our budget? Shouldn’t you give it a bit more thought?”
“No! I have decided. I want him to work exclusively for Crescent Moon.”
Daisy looked even more shocked when she heard my words. Zack Swain is a freelancer. Wanting to sign him up exclusively with Crescent Moon is indeed something big. But, if I have him, I don’t have to bother about those leeches that are ready to suck me dry the moment that I fall.
I parted ways with Daisy at Central Plaza. I headed back to my Villa wanting a nice warm shower to get rid of this coffee smell.
Coffee?? Wait a minute. Damn, I totally forgot to return his shirt!
Mr. Dev greeted me at the gate as he was watering the plants in the garden. He was a little worried to see me coming back earlier than usual.
“Missy! What happened? Are you alright? What’s with the new dress? What is this smell?” He bombarded me with lots of questions without giving me a chance to answer.
Ms. Thara looked out through the window as she heard the ruckus caused by Mr. Dev.
“Mr. Dev, first let the Missy come in. After that you can question her.”
“Right! Right! Missy, please come in. Ms. Thara, please prepare for her bath. Missy smells weird!”
“On it!”
I smelled myself once again hearing him saying that I smelt weird.
The water was neither hot not cold, it was at a correct temperature. I soaked myself into the tub as I felt the stress which was built up from meeting that bastard disappear slowly. I took a deep breath, In and Out.
The words which he said were not all wrong… I am indeed a cripple… A cripple that is not wanted by anyone….
After spending nearly an hour in the bath, I finally made up my mind on how to handle that bastard. With Daisy by my side it was not really impossible to ruin him.
I took out a pair of shorts and matched it with my favorite Short sleeved, Striped Blouse. I lost my mood to go back to office so I decided to work from home.
I was immersed in my work that I lost track of time. It was already half past seven in the evening and I started to feel a little hungry. As I headed downstairs, I could smell something delicious being prepared in the kitchen.
Someone kept ringing the doorbell. Just like I expected, it was Daisy. Her eyes were brimming with excitement. The moment I let her in she gave a bear hug. I was a little startled. I expected her to be excited, but not to such an extent.
“Guess what, I have gotten his contact information and spoke with him in person. I didn’t expect him to be so easily reachable. I was totally caught off guard! He even agreed for a face-to-face meeting with you. The meeting has been scheduled for the day after tomorrow. Let’s make sure to win him over!”
I was not expecting it to be so easy. I thought maybe there could be more to it than we can see. So I was a little hesitant even though it was me who suggested contacting him. Since I was short on time, I wanted to make it work out somehow. While I was lost on my own thought, Daisy pinched me on my arm with a mischievous smile on her lips. I was confused.
She leaned to reach my ear as she whispered softly.
“I also have the details of the “C-O-F-F-E-E". Want to know?” With a smirk on her lips she gave me a slight punch on my arm.
The moment I heard the word “Coffee”, I felt my cheeks heating up. I covered my mouth with the back of my hand as I looked down. That time, I could imagine the look on my face clearly. I was blushing….
Seeing me go red in front of her, Daisy didn’t even bother to hide her amusement. She waved a piece of paper in front of me saying that I would want it so badly. I gave her a look of annoyance as I grabbed that paper and ran upstairs.
Unexpectedly, there were not many details about him. Krish, was his name. I loved the ring to it as I said it many times in my heart. He was 32, just like I expected. Daisy even mentioned the details of his height and weight which I could least bother because he looked just perfect in my eyes. So handsome...
He had no surname. I was a little surprised to find out that he was an orphan. But it seemed like he had a brother. It seemed like he adopted him when he was 25. This brother of his was seven years younger than him. He was called Raven. Unfortunately he got diagnosed with leukemia at such a young age. It seemed like Krish was a responsible elder brother. He had been taking care of his medical bills for all these years.
The weird attraction which I was feeling towards him was something which I have never felt before. I could easily help him out with his brother’s treatment, but what right do I have?
