20 years ago She kept running and no matter how scared she was she dared not stop or look back. This was a nightmare! One she never wanted to come to pass. Her warnings had fell on deaf ears. How she wished they had all listened to her, maybe this would not have happened. Now she has lost everyone all at once and there was no assurance she won't join them herself. Gracie heaved as she approached the gate, finally it was time for her to escape but she'll come back and hunt their little perfect life every single day. Smirking she made her way to the gate, looking back to recall some memories and then finally disappearing into the cold long night.... Chapter 1 : The present (20 years later...) The noise was earpiercing as Gracie sighed an umpteenth time. Why couldn't she just stop?, she asks but as usual no one to answer. "okay Nelly, what do you want? Cheese? Cracker? Ice-cream? Just name it" she asks but 3 year old Nelly just kept wailing. Tired, Gracie sat at the foot of the armchair and planned to continue her movie when Nelly crawled over to where she was and laid her head on Grace's lap mumbling incoherent words to herself. None wanted to back down from the staring competition they had unknowingly engaged in. "Sir, your order?", a young lady in her mid 20's asked and that was when they finally looked away each scowling at the other. "Just water", they both said simultaneously and sighed while the lady walked away confused and suprised. "I'm sorry", the blonde haired Jason said and this caused Ryan to stare at him in suprise. "Wow. I wasn't actually expecting that but since you said it, you're not forgiven",he replied smirking. "Oh Comeon man. It obviously took all in me to say it and now you're just gonna throw it away like a garbage piece?", Jason asked obviously irritated. Chuckling Ryan looked over at Jason's car which was parked outside and Jason followed his line of sight and stood abruptly" Oh no no no no. You've got to be kidding me Ryan. A big no. I'm out of here", he said picking his things to leave. "Chillax guy, I wanted you to get me the motorbike helmet behind the car", Ryan said laughing and soon Jason joined him in the laughter. "Dummy. I would have murdered you if you had asked for my brand new SUV. Anyways it's all in the past. I missed you Bro". "I missed you too. I was just too proud to admit it.",he paused before continuing "I saw her", Ryan said trying to change the topic and it worked as Jason's face paled "You saw who? Please don't be who I think it is", he said sweating nervously and Ryan sighed before moving closer to face him directly"You know who. I saw her. I saw Gracie and she's back in town"
