Chapter 9 Elemental Affinity Test Part(2/2)

Liam walked out the house ready to leave. He shifted the moment Ethan and the others appeared. They were going to fly to the place since this world didn't have cars. Inside the Clan people just shifted when going somewhere or walked. They only used carriages when going down the Mountain. Everyone shifted alongside him and Violet flew before settling on Maddox's head comfortably.

As they neared the clearing, more and more dragons appeared. They were all smaller than his grandfather and uncle, being 10 meters. His grandfather and uncle were 13 meters big because they belonged to the royal blood line of Cloud Dragons. He was 11 meters big right now.

He noticed a Dragon with black mane and flew over to him, it was Michael. Liam roared in greeting and Michael rubbed his head against his snout. Michael was a lot smaller than him because he was an Omega. He was 7 meters in length nearly as long as Ethan.

He was very different than others though. His was father was a Qilin and although he was a Dragon, many things about him were different. He had yellow eyes, very unusual for a Cloud Dragon. Liam was sure he had the lightening element. His Dragon form had a black mane and his underbelly had black scales also a Cloud Dragon thing.

Liam shifted as he landed, before looking around. Michael took his hand, dragging him towards the made shift stage. Ethan and Lucien disappeared among the crowd after saying "good luck" to both of them. His grandfather walked with him to the stage before patting his back and leaving.

He and Michael than joined the other who were waiting for their turn. The test was simple. It just had a glass orb that showed their affinities when they put their hands on it. The most common Elements in their Clan were Wind and Water. Although they were not less powerful, other rare elements like Lightening, Space and Light etc were more powerful.

The Lightening element was as rare as people, who had three elemental affinities. While Space Element depended upon the creature. If it was a Space Dragon they have a high chance of having the Space Element while in the other Dragons, it was quite rare once in a millennial occurrence.

He was thinking, while Michael was talking to him about who knows what.

"Michael Kirby."

Michael jumped as his name was heard and ran upstairs. Liam laughed and looked at him as he talked to the instructor taking the test. He then walked towards the orb and put his hand on it.

Everyone was shocked when it had lightening but then it showed fog and even Liam was surprised. Cloud was not an element more like an ability but it was very rare. It was the special race ability of Cloud Dragons. He didn't know much about it though, as he said it was really rare. Not more than the Space Element but still.

He was happy Michael had it. It was a proof he was a part of the Clan. Since although most of the people were nice there were still some who said Michael was an outsider. It was the reason that except for Liam and his (Liam's) family he was really shy talking to others.

"Good Job. You nailed it." Liam said as Michael ran towards him and hugged him.

"Thanks." He smiled at him before kissing his cheeks.

Liam's name was called and he walked up after waving at Michael. He walked towards the instructor. He told him what to do and Liam put his hand on the orb.

The orb first showed water. Everyone cheered before it disappeared and the orb turned golden and the sign of the Holy Element appeared. Liam was once again shocked, that was unexpected. The orb then turned purple and black with stars and a full galaxy appeared.

Everyone was silent probably shocked, even Liam was surprised, he didn't know he had the Holy Element. It was rare but more surprising was that it has been centuries since anyone in their Clan had it. He removed his hand and walked towards Michael who hugged him again.

"I knew you were amazing. But seriously two rare Elements? You almost gave me a heart attack." He mumbled in Liam's chest as everyone suddenly clapped and celebrated. Liam was the last to have the test so, everyone went to celebrate.

"Liam!" Ethan yelled as he ran towards him and hugged him and Michael both.

"You both did great. I am so proud." He said tearfully.

"Now don't start crying on such a happy occasion." Lucien chided Ethan playfully before looking towards him and Michael and saying "Everyone was so shocked it took a lot of convincing to get them to leave. I think you two are going to be bombarded with people soon."

Liam just smiled and petted Violet who settled on his shoulders. He looked down, the Holy Element reminded him of Zeke. He had a similar Element in the book. He hopes he is fine. He hadn't seen him again since their first meeting because Ethan was scared by what happened and decided he wasn't allowed to go down again until he turned 18. He didn't want him to worry so he agreed but he really missed Zeke. He hopes what he did helped him even if just a little.

He didn't have to worry about that White Lotus b***h atleast because she didn't meet Zeke until he was 14. He thought walking towards the feast.

He had now discovered what the necklace tattoo did and he was grateful to that stranger. It helped him heal when his mother and the others beat him up. His body wasn't hurting everyday now. And he could finish his secret training. No one knew what it was and even if they did there was no way to take it from him even if they killed him.

He had noticed the pouch of gold coins while running away but he didn't know where the boy was so he kept it. It was the first gift he had received. He hid it so his mother won't take it from him. He decided to use the money when he ran away.

He liked to think about the stranger. He was a Dragon more powerful than anyone Zeke had met but he was still nice and saved him.

He Likes Liam.

He decided. If they ever met again he would like to become friends. He then turned and decided to sleep using his hands to support his head. He shivered as a cold breeze passed but he was used to it. Liam. hmmm.
