Chapter 15 – Calling to Gloat

1323 Words
Christian’s POV “Hello Christian, I want to know what is the meaning of you pushing my pregnant daughter this afternoon. She was only there to get Aiden. That is a new low for even an Anderson.” Maverick says. I don’t respond for a few seconds before I burst out in a fit of laughter. He is quiet on the other end of the phone. “I am sorry Mr. Jones that you feel that I have time to entertain you or that slut you call your daughter. Neither of you deserve my time of day. I have always been taught not to waste my time on trash. Especially people who are not in the same class or status as me. So let me make myself clear Maverick I nor my family will entertain you and your so-called family, but I will give you a piece of advice. You have never been on our level, and you never will be. We hold the power in both worlds. You only get ahead because we let you and now that you and that b***h you call a daughter have decided to cross the line, I will definitely play your game. Trust me I am not planning to lose to a flea like you. So, you sit back and watch how powerful I am as I take everything that matters to you.” I say. “Now you listen here I refuse to let a child talk to me that way. I am old enough to be your father. It shows that you were not taught proper manners, but I will teach you if you ever talk to me like that again Christian. Now I am done talking with you so put your father on this phone this instant. So that we can have a grown man conversation.” Maverick says and I laugh again. “My dad has retired and is living his best life and refuses to talk to trash as well. You may not like it, but I am all you got oh and about Jayden, would you like to talk to him since you and your asshole son-n-law just tried to kill.” I say. Then I nod to Jayden to take over. “You bastard that is the second attempt that you have made on my life. Do you think that our families will let that go, well think again you arrogant asshole. I am done playing the good guy so this is how it is going to go, you take that slut of a daughter of yours and you leave town while you still can, because I plan to kill the both of you and very soon you will know why I am out to get that b***h of yours. Plus, I might add you should take her somewhere for a fresh start, since most of the men here have already had there way with her. I know that night my bro Christian spent with her is time he wish he good get back. He bathed for ten straight days with a disinfectant to get rid of her touch.” Jayden says as he laughs his ass off. “Why you bastard how dare you talk about my daughter like that when you couldn’t even hang onto your own wife. That says a lot about you and now you are chasing behind this low life tramp that have filled your head with bad things about my daughter, just because she couldn’t keep her husband.” Maverick says. We can tell that he is angry now for sure. “For your information my ex-wife was just like your daughter she opened her legs for any body with seven figures in there bank accounts, plus our marriage was doomed from the beginning because she wasn’t the woman I was suppose to marry but don’t worry. The wife I was supposed to marry has now divorced her no good husband and I plan to make it right and further strengthen my family bond like it was suppose to be. I tell you what make sure you are at the Gala because I promise you it will be a night your family never forgets. You will see just how powerful I am going to be. My intended bride ex-husband didn’t understand the value of the woman he had but that is not a mistake I will make. I plan to cherish it, embrace it and love it.” Jayden says and with that he hung up the phone in their faces. I know that left them wandering who Jayden’s wife is supposed to be. I look over at the bed my sister is sitting in bed and she is looking like a ghost at everything Jayden just said on the telephone. We all wait for her to say something, but she looks shocked. “Jayden what are you talking about, who are you going to marry?” Madison says. She looks upset and must not realize that he is talking about her. She has a look of disappointment on her face and thinks they are forcing him into marrying someone else. He gets up off the bed and go over and grab her hands. “Madison you really cannot think that I am talking about anyone else other than you?” Jayden says. She puts her head down feeling embarrassed and I just roll my eyes. I hope he knows that my sister has been hurt really bad and it is going to take a lot to find his way through the scars in her heart. But if anyone can do it, I have faith in my friend. He has loved her since they were little. It is going to take a person that knows my sister in and out to help mend her heart and everything she has lost. Madison looks at him in total disbelief. “Jayden are you crazy I just got divorced and lost a baby, what are you thinking about.” Madison says. “I am thinking it should have been me and you from the start and nothing is stopping us now. Did you forget I am a divorce to so I think we are perfect for each other. I plan to help you get your revenge and then take you back home so that you can live in peace. We will stay here together no matter how long it takes to make that bastard and his family pay for what they did to you. That’s the only way you can start to heal.” Jayden says . I must say that I am impressed at how my bro is handling the situation. It is time for me to interrupt this little kumbaya moment, because we need to talk about how this asshole just called us to try and taunt us. “I appreciate this little special moment we are all having but I want to know what the hell we are going to do about Maverick he is getting really cocky. The nerve of him to call me after trying to take out my sister and Jayden again. What is this old bastard thinking about.” I say. Dad looks at everyone in the room and I can tell he is going to say something that might get him in trouble with the people in the room. I wait and then he decided to speak. “ Jayden just gave me a perfect idea, that is of course if the two of you are ok with it. I would not want to put anymore stress on anybody.” Dad says. Then he looks around the room to judge the looks and that’s when I know he is going to say something he might regret later because my mom is looking at him with a raised eyebrow. All you can hear is silence waiting for him to speak.
