Chapter 14 – Second Attack

Christian’s POV

I am sitting down the street with Carlos my head of security and the rest of the team is strategically positioned around the area. We are sitting here waiting for Madison to enter the café. We are listening to the things this bastard is saying to my sister, and everybody is mad and asking me if they can just end his miserable life. Madison bodyguard Alex agrees to do it for free, no charge necessary. We all must laugh at that suggestion. We are trying to keep an eye out for anything suspicious while Jayden make sure my sister gets out of the restaurant safely. In Situations like this you try to control the narrative as best you can, but going into a place they pick is always dangerous. I just do not trust Maverick Jones. I feel like this is all a set up but hopefully we are prepared. I breathe a sigh of relief when my sister is out of there safely and in the car with Jayden.

I tell everyone that it is a wrap and let's get back to the estate and keep your eyes open, but then my sister said she needs a doctor. I feel like Jayden now and I want to kill Aiden. I do not have time to tell them that we will go to the house and let our local family doctor take a look at her. I really don’t get to finish talking before there is a crash. I look up and see that the car that was parked diagonal from the SUV’s Madison and Jayden was in crashed into them hard, good thing they hit the side of the vehicle with Jayden. He took the most damage, I jump out of the car along with Carlos and run to get them. I pull Madison out first and she has a cut on her forehead, she must have fainted because she doesn’t open her eyes.

Carlos is already pulling Jayden out and then our guys help us get the two guard out. I hear sirens blaring and they are getting close. After the four of them are taken away by the ambulance. I take out my phone to call my dad. He is as angry as I am right now and that’s when I turn to see Aiden walking out of the café and his b***h walking over to him. I am immediately enraged and storm toward them before anyone could stop me. I push that b***h to the side that caused my sister so much pain and crab Aiden. “Listen you piece of s**t if anything happens to them, I will come back and personally put a bullet in your head.” I said. Then I leaned in and whisper in his ear something that made his eyes go big. “You may see me as just a businessperson, but I am my father's son and people in the underworld like to call me Draco. I know you have heard of him because your dad did not get where he is today without dealing with my family. So, you know I have no problem killing your stupid ass. You better pray they are all right.” I say.

I turn around and walk away because Carlos is pulling my arm. I see him turn to help his w***e up off the ground. He makes me want to throw up just watching his stupid ass tend to another man’s baby. I smirk and walk away because I cannot stand the performance she is putting on. After the accident is taken care of we go to the hospital, we also told them to take the driver of the other car to our hospital as well. I want to talk to him and find out who asked him to run into the car because it was deliberate. By the time I arrived at the hospital the whole family is there waiting for information on everyone. I look over at my dad and he looks like he could kill a snake with his bare hands. He always looks like that when some one tries to hurt his children, and we all know this accident was deliberate.

“Dad, I think Maverick did not get my message the first time I talk to him. Maybe it is time to teach him the lesson her deserve.” I say. But when I look at my father he is thinking. I wander what there is to think about, they just tried to kill my sister for the second time, and I refuse to let it go this time. Caleb looks at my dad and his looks like he is thinking the same thing, what could they possibly be thinking about when Madison and Jayden have been hurt. “Son, I know the first response is to run and kill Maverick but me and your dad have been doing this for along time and killing Maverick right now will be reckless and he knows it and that’s why he is, so hell bent on attacking us. The GALA is the day after tomorrow and that is where we need to start in his pocket. We all need to take a break tomorrow and stay home. We can get the people to come to the house to help the ladies get ready for the GALA. Let him think that he succeeded for now until Friday night.” Henry says.

Have these old men lost their minds. I just stare at them in total disbelief. “We can not let this slide dad and uncle Henry. We will look weak in the underworld to let a snake like Maverick get away with an attack on our family.” I say. Dad shakes his head and I don’t know if he agrees with me or he is still thinking because he has been quite since the beginning. “Son, you need to look at the bigger picture, Maverick will get what is coming to him, all I am asking you is to just wait a day in order for us to plan effectively. Plus, your sister needs to be apart of this, as much as I hate to admit it if she doesn’t stand up for herself and take her revenge, she will look weak as my daughter and in the business world. Everyone knows the tactics Maverick uses, and they are tired of him. He thinks he has a lot of support but he doesn’t. Me and Henry have not been sitting on our hands these past few days. We have actually been gaining allies from his side and gathering a lot of information.” Dad says. I underestimate these two old men. I nod to my dad and Henry that I understand what they are saying. At that moment, my phone rings and I take it out and my jaw tightened to see Maverick is calling me. I show the phone to my family and Caleb tells me to answer it and put it on speakerphone so he can record what the bastard had to say, let see how far he is willing to go, but at that time the doctor comes in with an update. We stand to out feet and ask if they will be ok. “Yes, they are all resting and can go home later after about an hour of observation. Just a few minor scratches and bruises.” The doctor says. Then I think about the driver of the other car and I am shocked when she tells us that someone came in and helped him to leave and go to another hospital. They could not hold someone that is refusing treatment. That sounds crazy as hell. As the doctor is leading us in the room Jayden and Madison are sharing my phone rings again so I answer it. “Hello” I say in a bored voice.
