Chapter 2 – Who Took Her

Jayden POV

When I hang up with Madison I was so mad. I cannot believe this jackass had the nerve to treat Madison like that. I immediately get on the phone to tell Christian. He is even more mad than I am, and I think part of it is because she chose to call me instead of him, but he needs to get over that and let us find out what the family wants to do.

Of course, it is all hands-on deck in the middle of the night. Both families are preparing to travel to New York.

Madison is the youngest out of both families. Henry Adams is my father and Charles Anderson is his best friend. We combined the family business 2 years ago so now we are running the biggest company in America. It’s called A &A International we do many diverse types of businesses. Christian and I run the many different business. He has taken over as the head of the family and I am second in command just like our fathers. I have always loved Madison but due to family politics, I was forced to marry a real b***h that only stole from the family. Everyone has regrets but the biggest loss the family took was losing Madison in the process. They all knew how we felt about each other but they thought my marriage to Chloe Williams would strengthen the family. This is the reason Madison left and married the asshole and now she is in trouble. We are now on our way to the private airport to head to New York.

We were going there next week for the Gala we are hosting for the new offices there, we just going a week early now. It’s about a 5-hour straight flight from LA to New York. We arrive around 5 in the morning. So we decided to go to the estate to get some rest before going to the hospital. We just assumed she was going to be safe in the hospital boy we could not have been more wrong.

“Good morning! We are here for Madison Greene she was brought in last night for complications with a pregnancy.” I say. The nurse looked a little surprise like there was something wrong . She was taking a little to long for my taste so it was time to get aggressive. “Call the attending doctor to come and talk to us.” I say. “I am sorry sir but Mrs. Greene is no longer in the hospital.” The nurse says. Christian and I share a look that says something is not right. Why would she call me for help if she was going to disappear before we got here. We still insist on seeing the doctor, so we sit and wait. It takes about 10 minutes before the Administrator and Doctor that treating her are standing before us, and are escorting us into a big conference room to talk. The looks on their faces tell us that something is wrong.

“Director Anderson, we apologize but when the doctor came in this morning to check on Madison, we discovered she was taken from the hospital. The police have already been called and are investigating the situation. Based on the evidence it appears that she was taken by force. The night nurses have conflicting stories. If the last nurse that actually says she gave Madison the medicine is correct she would have been right in the middle of the disappearance. Unfortunately she is off work this morning and we are unable to get her on the phone.” The Administrator says.

“You mean to tell me a hospital that so well guarded allowed some one to come in and take my daughter right from under your noses. I think it may be time to re-evaluate the people we have entrusted the hospital too.” Charlse Anderson says. “No I can assure you that this type of situation has never happen before.” Administrator says. At this point we need to handle this matter ourselves and the most likely suspect is that worthless husband of hers. We obtain a list of all the employees that worked last night when she went missing. A few of them have already been taken to the police department and they all say the same thing, the last person to see her in the middle of the night was the nurse named Ariana. So either she is in on the kidnapping, or she has gone missing as well either way she is the key to finding Madison.

I really want to go to the husband house and kick in his door but I know we have to be smart and come up with an actual plan because we don’t want to risk them getting nervous and hurting Madison. We call Carlos our head of security to come to New York with our best team to help us with this situation. I doubt he would have been stupid enough to take her back to his home. But the police say that they are going to question him now to see if they have seen her.

As we are sitting here waiting to hear back from the officers I decided to check my email. Maybe she can not call but she can contact us in other ways. I was in total shocked that Madison is missing and it looks like this douchebag is actually working because he just sent us an email about our collaboration. I know the hospital has reached out to this asshole by now. “Christian you will not believe who I just got an email from!” I say. He is looking at me confused just like the rest of the family. Christian says “Who” and I just turn my computer around and show him the name. He immediately gets enraged and sling my computer across the room. “The nerve of this asshole my sister is missing, and he is conducting business like it is any other day.” Christian yells. “That only tells us that he knows exactly where she is and is not worried. You got to remember he doesn’t even know that she is related to any of us.” My dad says. He is right, they still have no clue what Madison real identity is.
