Chapter 6 – The Week of the Gala

Madison’s POV

My family have been smothering me this entire week. I need a break away from them. Now that the rest of the families have joined it is no peace for me, plus me and my dad have been arguing because I want to stay here in New York for a period of time. I want to be the CEO of the branches here. We have been arguing because he don’t think it is safe for me to stay. I really am over this conversation for a lifetime. My mom told me to give him time to see it my way, he will come around. I doubt it because they still treat me like a kid. I am happy for a break because I have a check up at the hospital today. I grab a couple of guards and sneak away without anyone knowing. I just need a piece of mind, one moment alone.

When I arrived at the hospital I go to the front desk to check in. After checking in I hear a commotion in the corner. I look up and see my ex- husband and his family arguing about something. So I ease drop so that I can hear. It sounds like William had a heart attack. I guess karma is coming back to bite them in the ass. I decided to ignore them until I hear my husbands w***e say that I should be grateful they saved my life. At this point I refuse to let her continue to do and say as she pleases. So I walked up to them and said my peace and at that moment the doctor called me back. I smile because Aiden cannot stop looking at me. I turn around and walk a way because this family's day of reckoning is in the near future. I want my dad to announce at the Gala that I will be the new CEO of A&A international in New York on Friday night. He is being difficult, but I have four days left to persuade him.

My appointment went well everything is healing as it should. I leave the hospital and decided to stop off at me favorite dessert shop across the street. I order a mocha latte and strawberry cheesecake. I take a window seat and wait for my order. As I am eating, I look out the window and see the slut that stole my husband standing outside the hospital arguing with someone on the phone. This piqued my curiosity, so I grabbed my purse and decided to follow her. “Hey Alex follow that car right there.” I say. He stares at me for a moment unsure if he should grant my request but then he nods and follow the car. I see Alex and Karl the other bodyguard sharing glances occasionally, but I ignore them. Something is not right about this heffa she is up to no good. We follow to a house in the ruff side of town it looks a little suspect to me. She gets out and goes to the door. A man steps out and kisses her. I am stunned just for a moment. Then I quickly take out my phone and take pictures of this b***h. This is too much you can’t make this stuff up it’s like a real soap opera. I was engrossed in watching the show until someone gets in the car and slam the door. “s**t! Jayden what the hell are you doing here.” I say. Then I look up at the two bodyguards and they look guilty traders. “Madison what the hell are you doing running around playing star detective. This is not good your ex-husband is already trying to paint you as unstable. Do you realize he is accusing you of being the reason you lost your baby. If you get caught you will only confirm his claim on you. That is why we have people to do this type of work. We already have people gathering evidence on these people. Your dad plans to announce to the world Friday that you are the heiress of the Anderson family. He can’t do that if they paint you as this crazy unstable woman.” Jayden says. I start to cry at the mention of my baby. He just grabs me and I continue to cry my eyes out. He signaled the drivers to go back to the estate.

I spend the rest of the day in my room debating what I want to do. That’s when I thought about what Jayden said, my ex-husband is trying to make me look bad. I get angry and decide to get me a little retribution. I grabbed my laptop. Growing up I spent a lot of time around my brother and Jayden so I picked up some skills. One of those skills was hacking. I am not as good as them but I got some skills. I text Jayden and ask him what the full name of the nurse that helped the assholes kidnap me. Of course he wanted to know why but eventually gave it to me. I hack into her social media account and post the pictures of Sarah and her boy toy. Then I created a media account and posted a article about Sarah. The title was “Home Wrecker Moonlights as a Part Time w***e” the pictures and article were all catchy. I smile and decide to take a nap. That will teach him and his slut to mess with someone out of there reach.

I am woken from my sleep by the thunderous sound of my father’s voice. He was really yelling my name through the house. I dragged my self out of the bed to see what the urgency is. I walked downstairs to the family room and see everyone looking distraught. I look at Jayden and he just shakes his head. To be honest at this moment I didn’t know what was wrong with everyone. I had totally forgotten about my little revenge before I went to sleep. So I decided to break the ice and ask my dad what was wrong. “Dad what’s the matter?” I say. “Really you are going to stand there and act innocent Madison, I know you did it because it’s your character.” Dad says. Now I am really confused. “But yet you want me to announce you as CEO when you are still so childish.”dad says. Now I am getting angry. “Could somebody please tell me what’s going on.” I say. Caleb snickers and pull his laptop on his lap and then he turns it around so that I could see the Media s**t storm. There is one headline that catches my eye, and I know why my father is angry. “CEO Maverick Jones daughter is caught in a love triangle.” I wait for my dad to start yelling at me because I know it is coming but he was not the one that spoke it was my brother. “Sit down Madison and explain what you were thinking, it is a good thing our tech team cannot trace it back to you. Why do you insist on living a dangerous lifestyle. Maverick Jones is not a simple man Madison. He has ties to the underworld. We do not want anything to happen to you because they are guessing that it is you with an axe to grind. Jayden had this conversation with you earlier. You still came home and did something so reckless. These people play for keeps they already had your ass cuffed to a damn bed before. I need the want to be CEO to make better choices.” Christian says. Damn that hurt.
