CHAPTER 7: TOO WORRIED

Gino's POV

Maganda ang araw ngayon, at mapayapa dito sa loob ng Café. Nakampante ako kina Haeron at Lim at mas napadali ang trabaho dito dahil sa kanila. Nandito ako ngayon sa kitchen area dahil binabantayan ko 'yong mga cookies na ginawa ko kanina. Nakaupo lang ako habang nakaharap dito sa oven. Maraming bumibili ng cookies dito dahil karamihan sa mga bata ay gusto nila. Kahit 'yung simpleng chocolate cookies lang eh ubos agad. Dinamihan ko ang ginawa ko ngayon para hindi maubusan. Maya't maya pa ay dumating si Lim.

"Sir Gino, may mocha cake pa po ba tayo?" tanong niya.

"Meron pa dito, teka lang at kukunin ko," sabi ko naman.

"Ah! Tulungan ko na po kayo," sabi niya sabay punta sa kinaroroonan ko.

"Hmm sige, ilabas na natin 'tong dalawang cake. Ako na magdadala nitong isa," sabi ko saka ko inabot sa kaniya 'yung isa pang cake.

"O-ok sir," sagot naman ni Lim.

Bakit parang namumula si Lim? Masama ba ang pakiramdam niya? Nako, hindi ito maganda kapag lumala pa. Bakit naman hindi niya sinasabi sa'kin para makapag-day off siya.

"Lim, are you sick?" tinanong ko siya saka hinawakan ang noo niya at tiningnan kung mainit ba siya.

"Ah!- S-Sir? Ahm, h-hindi po, o-ok lang po ako," nauutal niyang sabi.

Lalo pa siyang namula. Hindi ko alam pero bigla na lang ako napangiti ahaha, ang cute niyang tingnan.

"Hmm, kapag masama ang pakiramdam mo, magsabi ka ah at papayagan naman kitang mag-day off," sabi ko.

"Y-Yes sir!" sagot niya.

"Ah sige po, punta na ako sa labas," dagdag niya.

"Oh, samahan na kita," sabi ko naman saka lumakad na.

"Ah- nako sir ako na po, kaya ko na po," saad niya.

Naalala ko na may ginagawa pala ako at binabantayan ko rin 'yung mga cookie na ginawa ko.

"Alright, then be careful with the cakes," sabi ko at binigay na 'yung hawak kong cake sa kaniya.

"Ok sir," sagot niya.

Pinunasan ko na ang mga kamay ko at pupunta na sana ako sa may oven nang nakita kong may nakaharang na mop sa dadaanan ni Lim.

"Lim!" sigaw ko at nagmadaling pumunta sa kaniya.

"Ah!-" narinig ko ang sigaw niya.

"Sir!"

Hay buti na lang at nakapunta ako kaagad sa kaniya. At Nahawakan ko siya bago pa siya matumba. Nakita ko kasi na masusubsob siya sa pintuan kung hindi ko siya nasalo.

Lim's POV

Hindi ko napansin 'yung mop na nakaharang sa harapan ko dahil sa mga cake na hawak ko. Nakita ko si sir Gino na papalapit sa akin at sinalo ako. Siya mismo ang natumba sa sahig at ako naman ay nakasandal sa katawan niya. Nakapatong ako sa kaniya at nakahawak sa dibdib niya. Mukhang nasaktan si sir Gino sa may kaliwang balikat niya dahil tumama iyon sa kanto ng pinto. At ang mga cake ay nagkalat na rin sa sahig.

"Sir! Ok lang po ba kayo? Nako, sorry po Sir. Sorry," tanong ko at kinakabahan sa lagay niya.

"Ah yes, I'm fine. Can you help me to stand up?" he said.

"Yes sir, hold onto me," I offer my hand and shoulders to him.

Kumapit siya sa balikat ko habang ang kamay ko ay nakahawak sa kanang braso niya at tinulungan siyang tumayo.

"Gino!"

Nakarinig ako ng boses mula sa may pinto at pagtingin ko si kuya Haeron iyon. Agad naman niyang tinulungan akong itayo si sir Gino. He seems worried when I saw his face na nagulat sa nakita niya.

"Sir ok lang po ba talaga kayo?" tinanong ko ulit si sir Gino dahil napansin kong nasaktan siya no'ng itinayo namin siya.

"Yeah I'm fine, it's just my shoulder, it's hurt a little," sir Gino said while suffering.

"We gotta go to the hospital, maybe you're injured," nag-aalalang sabi ni kuya Haeron.

"Sorry sir, kasalanan ko po. Kung hindi po dahil sa kapabayaan ko hindi po ito mangyayari, sorry po talaga," I apologized again.

It's really my fault. Kung hindi dahil sa'kin, hindi sana nasaktan si sir Gino.

"It's ok, it was an accident. At least you're not hurt, Lim," sabi niya.

Huh? Did sir Gino were worried about me? But he's the one who's hurt then he was even able to worry about me? He saved me! I think I'm about to cry.

"S-Sir," I said in tears. I saw his bright smile.

"Oh- Haeron, please check the cookies inside the oven," sir Gino told to kuya Haeron.

"It's not the time to worry about the cookies now, we have to go to the hospital," kuya Haeron replied.

Kuya Haeron is right, sir Gino needs to go. And kuya Haeron looks so serious and really worried, I think he's mad at me because it's my fault.

"Just go and check it, you crazy for nothing! It's for our customers and we need it! Bast*ard!" sir Gino scolded kuya Haeron.

I think that's a little harsh to kuya Haeron, I pity him. Sir Gino is scary. But he's nice to me though.

"Ok, I understand," kuya Haeron agreed.

Kakaiba ang pakikitungo nila sa isa't isa. It's good that kuya Haeron didn't get annoyed. Why is he so calm?! I was just impressed with him because he has no complaints and everything Sir Gino says, he does everything unreasonably.

As for Kuya Haeron's behavior, he is always quiet even when working here. He knew what he was doing and had not asked for help. I haven't even talked to him since my first day here. I think he's kind somehow.

"I finished checking the cookies and I put them in the container," Kuya Haeron said.

"Now we need to have your shoulder checked by the doctor," he added.

"But it's really fine, I can move my shoulder now. We don't need to go, we still have a lot to do here in the Café," Sir Gino responded.

"Ah- it's ok for me to stay here. Sir Gino, you need to see a doctor. I can't accept that you might have an injury because of me," I requested.

"Lim, I already told you that I don't blame you. So don't worry about it and let's just do our best here in the Café," he cheered me up and then patted my head.

I blushed I little and felt shy when he gently patted my head. Sir Gino is too nice and kind, that's why I'm comfortable with him than Kuya Haeron.

"Tch,"

Did I hear that just now from Kuya Haeron? Is he mad? I know he's just worried about Sir Gino but Sir Gino doesn't take it seriously. I feel sorry for Kuya Haeron.

Then Kuya Haeron went to the counter area and sir Gino is preparing the cookies. We have started working again here in the Café.

Gino's POV

Buti na lang at hindi nasugatan si Lim. Ayoko kasi na magkaro'n ng aksidente dito sa Café, lalo na kapag ang empleyado ko ang nasaktan. Iniingat-ingatan ko na walang mangyaring masama kina Lim at Haeron hangga't maaari. Kasi mahalaga na sila sa akin hindi dahil empleyado ko sila, kundi dahil mga kaibigan ko sila.

Then I was the oldest of the three, and those two were like my younger siblings. So I want to keep them safe and comfortable beside me.

"Gino, come here for a moment" Haeron said.

Nagulat naman ako nang biglang magsalita itong si Haeron. Hayy, kailan ba ako masasanay na may kasama nga pala kaming robot dito.

"Ok, is there a problem? need help?," I answered.

Saka ako lumabas at pumunta sa kaniya. Nakita ko na may customer kami na doktor kaya agad kong tinanong kung anong problema.

"Is there something you need?" I asked to Haeron and the doctor beside him.

"He's Niel, my friend and a doctor. Now Niel, go and check him if he's injured," Haeron said.

What? Isn't he a customer here? A doctor for me? Seriously! What in the world is happening now?!

"Haeron? What is this?" I asked him.

"I told you he's a doctor. I called him here because you told me you don't want to go to the hospital," he answered.

"It's just that.. seriously, you're really a jerk!" I scolded him.

I didn't expect that. Why in the world did Haeron do this?! That bast*rd why does he always worry about me? And here I'm worried of him being a total jerk.

"Oh? Did Kuya Haeron called a doctor for sir Gino? Whoa!" Lim suddenly showed up.

Lumapit na ako sa doktor at sinimulan na rin niyang tingnan ako.

"He's not badly injured, he only has a small wound so it's hurting him. And the muscle in his shoulder was also affected but it will heal quickly. I've put a cure and bandaid on it so you'll be fine," Dr. Niel said.

"Ah thank you," I responded.

"That's good, I made you a coffee to give my thanks," Haeron said.

"So you're making a coffee now huh, you really do what you want even though you're this rich. I'd love to try your coffee ahaha," his friend said.

"Stop it already Niel, wanna try my cursed coffee?" Haeron responded.

"Of course I don't want that!" Nel said.

Ngayon ko lang nakita ang kaibigan ni Haeron at masasabi ko na gano'n sila ka-close sa isa't isa. Naistorbo pa tuloy siya dahil sakin. Bakit naman kasi ginawa iyon ni Haeron eh ok nga lang naman ako.

"Uhm you're the owner?" Dr. Niel asked.

"Ah yes," I answered.

"So you're special to Haeron. I'm Niel nice meeting you. Don't worry, Haeron is a good man haha," he introduced.

"Haha nice meeting you too, I'm Gino the owner. Please feel free to say what you want to have, we'll give it to you for free," I introduced too.

"Really? I will appreciate that," he said then smiled.

"No, this coffee is the only free for you. You have to pay for the others," Haeron suddenly showed up then he placed the coffee in the table.

"Man, Gino is the owner and he said that everything I want is free. Excuse me young lady, can I get a chiffon cake?" Nel defended himself.

"Ah! Yes sir!" Lim said and immediately went to prepare the cake.

"Gino, this man can afford all the things here so he don't need to get them free," Haeron insisted.

"No, you called him here in the first place for just a scratch on my shoulder and I just want to give him my thanks," I said.

"Gino is a good man," Niel praised me.

"Just for today," Haeron said.

"Hmph!" Niel pouted.

This two, I thought they were good friend with each other, but seeing them like this now is like a two kids fighting over one lollipop.

Speaking of which, Niel said earlier that Haeron is rich and he's working here in my Café because he just want to. What is he thinking? I know in the first place that Haeron is rich but I don't know the reason why he's working here instead. And just now, it's because he just wanted to? That crazy man, I remembered he said that he wanted to work here just because of me. Because of his fairy tale, he approached me. He said he wanted to become friends with me but then confessed to me? He's really a bast*rd. Seriously, what is he thinking?!

"Oh! I almost forgot to mention about the boys Haeron," Niel said.

"What about them?" Haeron asked.

"Well, they wanted to grab a drink this weekend, are you in?" Niel answered.

"We have work until 7 pm," Haeron responded.

"That's fine, I'll let them know," Niel said.

"Oh, are you coming Gino?" Niel asked and faced me.

"Ah, no I'm fine haha," I refused.

"Why? It'll be fun then i will introduce you to the boys," Niel convinced me.

"Ah sir Niel? your chiffon cake," Lim showed up with the cake.

"This young lady can come too, don't worry I'll escort you," Niel added. "Is that ok with you Haeron?" Niel asked Haeron.

"I don't really care," Haeron replied.

"Ok, I'm in," I said.

"Sir Gino can I come too?" Lim asked.

"Sure, but make sure you do all your assignments ok?" i

I said.

"Yes sir!" Lim replied.

"Great! It's decided," Niel shouted in excitement.
