Five days after Jianjun’s phone call to Kira, she saw his name on her phone’s caller ID. She answered and learned he had managed to locate the elusive Irina Petrescu.
“Her situation doesn’t look good, Kira. I’ve tracked down her address—she had moved from the place my cousin gave me. And I’ve actually seen her. I’ve watched her coming and going for a couple of days. It looks like she’s with a man and has two kids, a boy and a girl.”
“Really? Interesting. Do you think they’re married?”
