Closing the book she was reading out of frustration, she had hoped it would take away her boredom and while away time but it didn't seem to be doing anything for her. She threw it beside her on the bed and sat up. She ran her fingers through her hair, thinking of what next to do when she heard footsteps approaching the door.
From the scent, it was the Alpha. The door clicked open and he stepped in, staring straight at her with a look that scared her. He pinned the door shut before shifting his full attention toward her. His eyes devoid of emotions. He looked as though he had been possessed. She knew he had become very paranoid recently and had been acting brashly but this was new.
