When William and I walked out of the restaurant, we ran into Ella. She greeted me in surprise, her eyes lighting up with curiosity when she saw William.
Ever since my breakup two years ago, I hadn't dated anyone, so seeing me with a handsome man must have piqued her interest.
"Is this lady your friend?" William asked. I quickly introduced them.
"Yes! This is my best friend, Ella. Ella, this is William."
Ella waved cheerfully at William. "Nice to meet you, William!"
William smiled faintly and nodded politely. "Miss Smith, nice to meet you too. I have work this afternoon, so I have to go now."
After William said his goodbyes and walked away, Ella wasted no time. "Ava, when did you meet such a handsome guy? What's your relationship? Are you dating him behind my back?"
