The lackadaisical attitude Ambrose put towards the business and every other area of his life annoyed Bruce greatly. He has always none Ambrose to be a mummy's boy but at this age, he ought to be more responsible. Sometimes he wished life had brought them together differently, maybe he would have done away with him a long time ago and by now, he would have been in charge. But, they've been like brothers ever since they were going but never for once had anyone especially Ambrose's father never forgot to remind him of his place; a personal assistant to Ambrose forever. Though Bruce dared to dream higher, he often reprimanded himself and accepted his fate. But of recent, Ambrose attitude towards this company was replusing. He had called him the previous day to tell someone important, Ambrose hung up on him claiming to be busy of which he was certainly with a woman. Bruce stared hard at the Chandelier in his office like he was expecting it to give him answers and help his thoughts. He sighed heavily as he dropped the stick of cigarettes he was smoking. He knew his worth, his capabilities and maybe it was time for him to rise beyond the shadows of Ambrose. He cared for Ambrose as a brother would but he hated irresponsible people; especially those who had been freely given the opportunity to sour higher but didn't use it judiciously. Although Ambrose won great contracts, Bruce believed he could do more if given t,he chance but no one will if Ambrose was still available. His conscience pricked him for thinking negative of Ambrose but the realistic side of him had something different to say. " It's for the betterment of the company and everyone involved. If this company is left to a joker like Ambrose, then they would all become poor one day after being kicked out of the business world shamefully. They already had enemies and as much those who were working hard day and night to pull them down. Ambrose isn't up for the battle; I am." He smiled. " How about his sisters?" His conscience asked him. " O please, they should stick to girly things and leave the real world for men like him. " He hissed. Having assured himself of the need to get Ambrose out of the way, he had to come of with a plan. He has no intention of killing his friend only to declare him incapable and immature. Ambrose thought of an alibi, one who was a stranger that would be unnoticed by the family. One who would rise to the challenge of bringing Ambrose down without falling for his charms. What else could kill a man faster than poison; a woman. His mind went to several girls he had met and all had a thing for Ambrose. " Stupid girls." He hissed. Not that Bruce wasn't good looking, but Ambrose had this face that couldn't go on unnoticed. But before the alibi, he needed a realistic plan, probably one that would make him cripple. " No, that wouldn't stop him from taking over the company." He shook his head. " A perfectly planned accident that would affect his thinking faculty would be the best. He would be unable to take decisions and make plans, then and only then would he be declared unfit." He Chuckled at his plans. " At least, he won't die. He would get married to one rich girl and leave a quiet life. Perfect!" He screamed excitedly. ***** At first she thought he was joking and decided to try again. This time she stood up and brought her lips towards his n*****s, trying to turn him on. " Security, I have a visitor whose time has elapsed in my room, come pick her up." The young lady was suprised to see him pick and drop the landline of the table. " I'll suggest you dress up." He said coldly, pushed her gently off him and walked to the bathroom stark naked. She remained on the bed not able to comprehend what was going on. Even if she was a slut, she didn't deserve to be treated that way. The knock on the door brought her back to reality and when she heard the words; " Security at the door, can we come in?" Her heart sank. The moments of pleasure she enjoyed few minutes ago was forgotten and now her whole body boiled in annoyance. " God will punish you, Ambrose." She yelled angrily, picking her clothes from the floor. " Get your low life self out of my house." He yelled back from the bathroom. She wanted to respond but tears dropped down her eyes instead as she hurriedly dressed up. She opened the door and without a word, she walked down the stairs to avoid further embarrassment. She could hear the staff giggling and the sound of their whispers peirced her like a dagger. " I hate you, may God punish you for treating me this way." She sent a text to Ambrose as she sat in the cab ruminating on everything that happened. How could he cast her aside in less than a minute, after everything they shared last time? Though there were no strings attached, his actions hurt her. " Get lost!" Ambrose replied her and blocked her number right away, forgetting someone like that ever existed. * * * " Babe, seriously where did you get these shoes from?" Fiona couldn't take the silence of her friend anymore. " It belongs to the most annoying and rude human being in the universe. Thinking of him makes my blood boil and I wish I could smack his head." She said angrily as she narrated everything that happened that way. " What? Ambrose Stan?" Fiona jumped up from her seat. "You met the number one most handsome man, you were privileged to touch his feet and even keep his shoes? Lay your hands on me." Fiona pulled Kelly's hands and placed it on her head. " I seem to be the only one that doesn't know this Amber guy?" Kelly hissed. " I don't think we are talking about the same person." Fiona frowned. She quickly brought out her phone and searched the net for him. " Is this him?" She anticipated Kelly's answer. " Yes, he looks even uglier in this picture." Kelly responded. " O my God. Why didn't I meet him? Story has it that, if you stare into his eyes, they glow and at the same time, they suck you deeper until you feel like you are drowning. That's how mesmerizing he is!" Fiona said excitedly now hugging her phone. Kelly remembered how her stomach knotted when she looked into his eyes, it was similar to what Fiona was describing but she brushed it away. " Enough with this jerk's talk, let's go now." Kelly grabbed her bag and off they went. * * * " The boss is coming." Immediately someone raised this alarm, everyone working in the office of Ambrose Stan at STAN'S HOUSEHOLD GROUPS made necessary and unnecessary adjustments. Ambrose had one certain time fire a lady for not buttoning her shirt. To every him, every lady was trying to get his attention. " Welcome sir." Everyone greeted with a bow. He loved the feeling of being worshiped and admired. Two men were walking right behind him, with one holding a briefcase and the other some files. Ambrose paused, took a glance round the office and made his way upstairs satisfied with what he saw.
