POSSIBLE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EFFECTIVE PAIN MANAGEMENT AND PATIENTS RECOVERY
What is pain? This is a discomfort or a distress feeling that one gets on the body and it can be mild or very severe depending on what is the cause. Recovery is the process by which a person returns to their normal state of health after a period of being sick. Pain is meant to make you uncomfortable or caution you to stop doing something that brings that pain. When we do something that brings pain our nervous system in the brain are triggered. This is seen when we touch something hot or cold.
How we react to pain is different from one person to another because our bodies are different. You might find someone has a broken elbow and he or she is not feeling anything while someone with a twisted toe is writhing in pain. We have so many types of pains that are experienced by so many people across the world. Some of these pain are very severe while others are not that severe. Pain varies from one person to another.

In the other hand we have those who are very vocal.

When one is sick it means he or she is experiencing some sort of pain in their bodies that is stopping them from performing their normal duties. When we curb pain the patient is bound to recover. Pain can be curbed using some scientific drugs such as Naproxen .Each and every pain has a different way of treating them they are not the same.
NOTE: We are not supposed to be dependent on the pain medicines, ones they get used to our system they might not help us and it can lead to severe addiction which will be harmful to our health. Some pain can be so severe that can lead one to undergo surgery.
If we venture into the Asian world they adopted the use of herbal medicine in treating their diseases and managing pain. There is a medicine pharmacopeia that can be used to treat pain. Corydalis is a tuber that has been used for centuries to treat pain. The tuber is boiled with vinegar and it is used to treat chronic pain. Curcumae is also an herb that is used to treat inflammation, traumatic injury, abdominal and menstrual pain. The goodness of using the herbal medicine is that they have no side effects as compared to the scientific drugs.
Massage has also been found to be a means of curbing pain. This is because through massage we relax painful muscles, tendons and joints, relieving stress and it also helps in speeding up the flow of blood. Exercise is another means of managing pain but people ignore it. There are some exercises that are advised to be done so as to deal with pain. Walking is an exercise that can reduce pain this is because through walking we increase the circulation of blood and this leads to more oxygen in the muscles thus reduces pain and stiffness. Swimming reduces pain.
When we are in water our muscles tend to relax and relieve stress on all our joints. When our joints are relieved of stress our spine and limbs are bound to expand which will relieve painful pressure in our bodies. Stretching yoga is another exercise used to curb pain. It can help people with arthritis, migraine and back pain. The yoga poses can be used to heal some pain; chronic back pain-daily yoga can help strengthen the back and prevent the pain poses like cat pose, dolphin plank pose, cow pose, cobra pose.
Shoulder pain-we have poses such as bow pose, eagle pose, cat pose, plow pose. When pain is fully managed one is recovered. Pain is not something that one should ignore it is always an indication that not everything is ok and should do something. One should choose a means that is very effective in curbing their pain and before treating it you should first identify the type of pain you are dealing with. All in all speak out when you are in pain don’t just sit there and let pain kill you.
