Chapter 1- Right Jab
Jab left, right, right.
I continue punching, feeling my knuckles bruise.
Kendo was still dazed and I used that chance to get a good punch on his cheekbone. Once he was distracted, I went down low and swept his feet. Kendo fell to the ground. Groans escaped his mouth. The mat below us was splattered with blood.
I broke his nose.
"Get him to the infirmary," I say calmly. My guards gently help Kendo up and rush him out of the training room.
A cough made my attention turn back to my students. "What did we learn," I slowly ask. My students looked surprised and appalled. I couldn't blame them, I did just break his nose.
I looked around at my students, boys and girls alike.
A boy with beautiful blue eyes and dark brown hair spoke up, "Not to f**k with you, General," he says with a smirk.
His friends snicker and high five him. Some girls and boys were gasping at his foul language, others were laughing.
"All right, all right. Thank you, Dominic, but not f*****g with me won't help you in a fight with another opponent," a small smile crept onto my face.
A young girl around the age of eleven rose her hand. "Keep your attention on the opponent," it sounded more like a question than an answer.
"Correct! The moment you take your eyes and mind off your opponent, you lose," my voice thick with passion. "Never in a fight should you be thinking about your injuries, you need to be thinking of the injuries you will be inflicting."
"Everyone got that," they all nod their heads. "Good. Say it with me."
"Feag Aquila er glinet," we say together.
Everyone heads out of the large training room. Punching bags line the walls. Swords and daggers hung on the other. The grey mat stretched out to most of the room.
"Hi, you must be new here," a familiar voice rasped.
I quickly turned and punched him in the arm.
"Ow. What the hell Sea," he said grasping his arm. I smiled slightly.
"Lieutenant Jax, it seems quite stupid to sneak up on your General," a sarcastic smirk etched its self onto my face.
"You knew it was me," he rolls his dark blue eyes.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Lieutenant," I make an over exaggerating expression "how dare you to accuse me of such a thing!"
"Oh stop it, Siren," his arms crossed.
"Oh, you know you love me," I bat my eyelashes.
"You are lucky you're my best friend," Jax says with a slight chuckle.
His dark brown hair, almost black, was slicked back. His usual hair curled up upon his head. Jax had beautiful dark blue eyes, like the depths of the ocean. He was strong in build. Girls drooled over him but he never paid attention to most of them.
We walked past the students eating in the courtyard. Boys and girls ran passed me, playing tag.
"Remember that," Jax asks behind me.
"I vividly remember beating you in everything we did," I chuckled.
"Wait a minute, that's not how I remember it," A confused expression fell upon his face.
"Refresh your memory than Lieutenant, it seems to be a bit hazy," I say apathetic, but he knows I want to laugh.
"I'm not gonna even try to argue," Jax finally says with a sigh.
A slight chuckle rises in the back of my throat "Good choice."
We continued to walk through Kataplum. Older Students combating with swords, daggers, fists, and poles. We passed by the stables, little children were playing and feeding the horses. Soon those children will move up to combat, but for now, they need to get the hang of horses.
Horses have always been a big part of our nation. We have ridden them into battle for over three-hundred years and are always the first step in training soldiers.
We keep heading out of Kataplum. A huge colosseum-like building fades into view. Winged figures float upon the top. Jax lets out a sigh.
"You're not going to make me go in there, are you," his face mixed with fear and confusion.
I completely lose it. His face made it hard to keep it in and I can't help but laugh. He has never really liked the Stavl. The Stavl had odd residents living in its walls. Residents that don't take well to most visitors, including Jax.
"Why are you laughing, it's not funny," his hurt expression plain on his face.
"You have to, it's a priority. Every student and soldier here must contribute," My mood quickly changes and I send daggers his way.
"You seem to care more about them," he jesters to the Stavl "Than you do your own Kingdom."
"My kingdom wouldn't be here without them," I say in a calm voice. My face was still facing forward, I needed to keep my eyes off the man insulting my very existence. "If it wasn't for them, we would be apart of Funa."
"Why aren't you looking at me," I couldn't see his face but his voice was angered.
"If I look at your stupid face, they will know that I am angry and they will attack," I try my hardest to keep my heart at a steady pace.
A harsh growl erupted from the Stavl. A threading growl, imitating my own anger.
"Oh, s**t," Jax whispers.
"Great job, you got Palira upset. You know she is closer to me than any other," My voice thick with irritation.
"Don't blame me for the fact she feels every emotion that you do," he whispers.
"I don't blame you, what I do blame you for is making me feel these emotions," My eyes stare at the Stavl, telling Palira to stay calm.
"We should go inside and you need to stop talking, Lieutenant," My voice chilled.
The big dark oak doors with silver hinges and handles, hover over us. Waves and sea life etch into the grains. Guards in silver armor with blue sashes that hugged their hips, opened the large oak doors. With Spears by their sides, they bow their heads at myself and Jax.
Rows and rows of large stalls lined the interior. Scales of all color stood in each one.
"Sometimes I hate Dragons," Jax sighs.

Hey Loves! <3
So first chapter, what do you think? Is there anything that I can fix? I want to make this the best w*****d/Dreame book it can be. I'm still not sure about updates, because I have a lot to do and I'm quite lazy. I am getting a new Computer soon.
As I said this is the first chapter so its quite short, exactly 1,050 words. I will always aim for over 1,000!
How did you like the aesthetics? Thoughts?
What do you think of Siren?
How about Jax?
Thoughts on the dragons?
Setting?
I know this is a lot of questions, but I want to make this enjoyable for all of you!
Also I have some aesthetics on w*****d!
If you guys want that on here, tell me.
Love you all,
SeattleFront.
