Chapter 26 I opened my eyes slowly. The walls were white, the ceiling was white, everything was white. The familiar, but badly-associated smell of antiseptic hit my nose. I stretched my fingers, trying to feel something. A shot of pain went down my back and I gasped. "What's going on?" I croaked. I saw a few figures moving and I blinked my eyes to get these images clear. I saw my mother, father and brother with a grave look on their faces. "What's going on?" I repeated, my voice still an unintelligible croak. "Sandy...your brother..." whispered Dad. Suddenly pain hit me on the head and I was taken back, hours and minutes back into a world where everything was simple again. ♚♔♚♔♚♔♚♔♚♔♚♔♚♔♚♔ My brother's knee went up and down to the music that was blasting in his earphones.
