She was dazzling in beauty, her skin so perfect I couldn't take my eyes of them.. and her eyes were as tho they were the sun. Then I paused, who could this new student be? I thought, i've never felt the slightest feeling of attraction towards anything nor anyone. The slightest thing I ever felt compared to this was, when I got my first game console. I knew without a doubt, that this was trouble. Others have normal reaction to this kind of situation but how will I know what to do, when I have never experienced such?. I abruptly left the classroom to clear my head and remind myself the futile meaning of being attracted to a female the way I just did, if this was that. I heard footsteps behind me and somehow knew it was going to be my friend Sam And I was right, "yo! Jayden! he said, what's up with you?!.. I clearly could see you gazing at the new chick". "Uhmm would you prefer I look at a man"? I asked looking very serious. He then laughed and said,"well it's just that I've never seen you look at a girl that intensely". "Well then let's just say she's a really pretty one i said.. don't you agree"? "I do.. Shes definitely the new prettiest girl in school he replied. And who had that title before? I asked. Christine of course". Mm well lucky her, I said. While you still remain the cutest boy in school.. I hope someone also comes to take away that title from you.. he said laughing. Tch.. I never accepted such a futile title.. it's of no importance to me and I'm sure you know this. Shush jay let's just go to the cafeteria or ain't you hungry? he asked. That'll be in a bit tho, I have to go see my lil bro In the junior section or wanna come with me? I asked. Nah he answered, I'll just go to the cafeteria right now I'm really hungry, okay then, imma meet you later I said. Okay jay later then. Hold up Sam I stopped him. What is it? he asked, My name's Jayden and the next time you call me Jay, you might lose your speech organ.. and you're allowed to call me Sam when my name's Samuel right? he asked. Exactly, know your place, I replied. okay jay he said laughing while walking away. I got to the junior section almost immediately and the lunch bell rang. I was sure that before I'd get to his class it would have been time already and I was right. All the students who were left in the class room rose up to greet me saying good day senior! As I was a final year senior of the school.. regardless I wore a longer sleeve to indicate that I'm in the senior section as the school demanded.. other than that I had a prefect badge which read out sports prefect and was definitely pointing out that I was in my final year, only students of the final year could become prefects. Take your seats, I responded. It has been a rule since only God knows when that all juniors must greet their senior upon sight regardless of the class difference. And If any student could just walk into your class room without taking an excuse first then it could be either because he came along side a teacher or because he was a senior to that particular class. My little brother ran out to me, then I took him outside and asked if he was hungry.. yes I'm very hungry he replied. I said okay champ while rubbing his hair and we walked towards the cafeteria. His name was Aaron, He was just 11 years old while I would be eighteen in about three months. he looked so innocent and prone to all sorts of dangers of the world but still so young and full of wonders. I had made a promise to myself that I'll protect him at any cost I meant it. I always took him to the junior cafeteria which was separated from ours for bullying in the past. We got there eventually I put him to his seat and then asked what he would want to eat. Because unfortunately our mum had travelled so she couldn't bring his own food packed from home. Burgers and yogurt he replied to my question smiling. Then he said see what I did there "burgers" oh.. so you want more than one, I asked he said yes jay smiling. I never cautioned him about calling me jay as I found it adorable. Actually everyone at home calls me that but I strictly forbid it in school as I found it irritating. I got him what he requested for and told him I'd come meet when it was time to go home. Okay and thank you he replied already stuffing his mouth, I looked back to answer but the sight of him eating made me just smile and I left to meet my friends.. or rather the close ones as almost the entire final year students are freinds of mine. Sam was also present and sadly the new girl was too, the only open seat in the middle of Sam and Christine was directly opposite her. As if in arrangement Sam called out to me to come join them, I had no choice but to sit down which I did.. everyone then looked to see who joined the table although the seat was reserved for me and unfortunately she also looked forward to see who it was and then our eye sight collided. I immediately felt nervous chills running down my whole body followed by uneasiness and then I thought is it because of her beauty alone? Or is there some kind of mystical power at work here, because I had seen pretty girls in my little life of adventure and none had made such an impact. She then said in what could be referred to as an angelic voice, hi my name is Elora. Elora smith. Are you kidding me? How would one be this dazzling and still own such a name, I thought to myself. Well I finally found my lost tongue and for some reason my voice became deeper as if trying to impress her, mine is Jayden, Jayden John. She smiled and said nice to meet you.. and I guess I could call you jj if you don't mind. You can also call him jay, interrupted by sam and I answered rudely, hell no! Call me Jayden nothing else. Then christian said how about baby boo at this point the whole occupants of that table were laughing except I. And I said no one could call me anything else than Jayden... Jay someone interrupted, they all resumed laughing again. I just looked with disgust before finding out it was my little brother and I quickly added all except him must call me Jayden then Elora said aww that's so cute and asked, is he your little brother? Cuz he's as cute as you. Wait I thought, was I meant to grasp some sort of meaning to that, or was it just said because of the situation. Well he is, I replied. Aaron looked at her for a little while without saying a word and then turned to me and said jay I'm through with my meal. Okay champ you'll be going to class now right? I asked. He said yes. Okay then, I'll come pick you up when school closes alright? Okay he said then he walked away. I always called him champ because he some how seemed to excell among his peers and it's as if he possessed some qualities I had to learn naturally anyways he'll definitely surpass me in every possible way. Meaning if he grooms in the right way He's likely to exceed me and vice versa. You look so much alike, Elora said. I know he's my brother, I replied. Well anyways I'll like to know more about you?. I felt uneasiness once again and thought to myself, why am I the only one she's talking to, or has she picked some kind of interest in me. My life's not for your amusement, I replied abruptly. Okay no need to be rude about it tho, she said. And the conversation was already starting to disgust me even if I didn't want to stop hearing such a voice, I stood up and was leaving, then Sam said won't you eat anything before going? No bro, I'll leave it till I get home, I'm already irritated as it is I said whilst walking away. Then i overheard Christine saying to elora don't be angry with him, that's just the way he is. I didn't bother to hear the rest of the discussion as I walked away to the classroom and spent the rest of the day alone snubbing anyone who dared to commune with me. Hours later it was almost time for everyone to go home, so everyone was already packing and restless to just hear the bell ring. Sam said to me bruh are you still coming to my house later? No I replied I have something to do. Maybe some other time? he asked, sure I replied. Then I got to my little bro's classroom about 5 minutes to the closing time to meet him conversing seriously with his mates. Then I stood just watching him since we couldn't leave the school being that it wasn't yet closing time. Then the bell rang and I was expecting him to Come immediately to me, but no, he still sat there deep in conversation with them, I stood for about 3minutes more. Then I got pissed and went to his seat and smacked his head, then he stood up picking his bag and immediately he followed me outside.
