Noah ღ It was the first time I felt as if I fit in somewhere— Avery seems like a nice girl and I was glad she was the one that helped me to find my class today but now she was acting strange. She left with the boy as he gave me a death glare, he was clearly dangerous— like a monster lurking in the shadows. I know these things when I see them. Avery reassured me that she'll be fine but I couldn't help but worry about her. A few minutes pass by when she arrived, her entire demeanor changed. "Do you know him?" I questioned. "Not really, though I don't know what's his problem all of a sudden," she muttered. "I gotta go Noah, thanks again!" She said. "Wait can I get your phone number?" I asked. She wrote it on the napkin before leaving me alone and to my thoughts. Avery ღ Tears fell down my cheeks as I curled up in my bed wanting to disappear— I seriously had no idea why I stormed out on Noah or why I was overthinking Desmond words. Why did this have to be happening now? In the last stage of my school life—What have I done to deserve all of this, when all I wanted was someone to love and accept me for...me. Is that too much to ask for? Bang! Bang! Bang! "Lil sis, come here I wanna ask ya something," Winter shouted Winter?! Talking to me? It's been a while she spoke to me, her voice sounded way better than Summer's. I hurriedly dried my tears before running my hands in my curly hair. I crept up to the door, before opening the door halfway. Winter stood with two dresses in her hand with a nervous look— she threw a dress at me. "I need your help, and Summer ain't home... which dress you think would look better on me Avery?" "You going to a party?" I asked. Her eyes lit up and her cheeks flustered red before she nodded. Winter was pale comparing to Summer and was the taller one. "Then I suggest the whitish-ish ... it'll sexy on you," I blurted out. Once more Winter's eyes widen before she went back to normal. Raising her hand, I thought she was going to hit me but instead she gave me a big hug. "Thank you, Avery," she said smiling. She rushed back to her room giggling happily leaving me in confusion as to what just happened. The night was getting weird by the second— is it me overthinking or is everyone acting strange? A headache was starting to form sighing, I sat on the floor with my cracked phone in my hands. It seemed as if those two knew each other or simply just met and hated each other gut for some reason. We all see or met someone we suddenly don't like, for some unknown reason anyways. Everyone was living their best lives having fun while I'm thee introverted one. It's fun being alone but I wish I had my person who I could talk to and do fun things with, but this social anxiety won't let me be. "Avery, I'm heading out, don't know when I'll be back but keep safe," Winter yelled, before I heard the front door slammed. I hated being alone but look on the bright side, a house to myself could've never been better or so I thought. Connecting my mini speaker to my phone, I found my YouTube playlists. It's time to have my own party. I ran down stairs to make sure the windows and doors were closed. Mom and Dad left this morning for their vacation and the twin rarely stay at home whenever their parents were gone. I don't have to worry about how they'll get in because a spare house key was outside under a vase– like figuree. I began to hum Encanto song lyrics, that animation was really nice— I grabbed a jar of ice cream before heading upstairs and shut my room door. Sitting around my desk and blasted my music a sudden feeling washed over me. I wish I was normal. Don't have to constantly overthink things and being weird and awkward around people. Heck, sometimes I even forget to walk when I see people giving me weird looks. I wish I was perfect like those models in magazines but instead I'm stuck with a thick body. I'm so sick of myself rather be someone else. Tears started to run down my cheeks and a nauseated feeling appeared. My sister's had everything yet they were ungrateful sometimes. Snap out of it Avery! I mustn't think that way, wouldn't that make me also ungrateful? Knowing my foster parents didn't have to take me in but they did. A headache was starting to form, I turned the music off and jumped into bed now scrolling through my phone. My phone started to vibrated which startled me a little causing a hiccup to arise. User caller ID was no other from... Noah. Why is he calling me now? Shakily, I answered, "Hello?" A deafening silence could be heard on the other side that I removed the phone from my ear to make sure it was him. "You okay Avery?" He asked. "No, I'm tired," I yawned. "—good night Noah," I hanged up without waiting for a response. Plugging in my phone, I turned the light off and went to sleep.
