Driving home after Avery accepted the party invitation was a dream come through Mom was cooking dinner as my little brother, Jonas rushed to hug me with his toy car in his hands.
"Hey, buddy did you miss me?" I questioned Jonas.
He nodded his head before fighting to get out of my arms. Walking over to mom I placed a kiss on her cheeks.
"Someone's in a good mood," Mom said.
"Yup I'm in a good mood, cause I got the prettiest date to go to a party mom," I grinned from ear to ear. Mom's eyes lit up as it was the first she saw me talking about a girl like that so passionately.
She wasn't my real mom, she is my aunt but she took me in ever since my abusive mom left me to suffer on my own, the nightmares of the past still haunts me til this day.
"Go wash up son and come down to eat, I made your favorite," she said.
Heading to my room, I don't know what I'll wear. Time was running out and so I decided on a white T-shirt and my leather black jacket and pants.
Every evening was dinner time for the family. I helped mom set the dishes, wash up my little brother Jonas and as for my eldest brother Matthew, he hasn't left that room in years except to use the bathroom.
Mom gave me a tray with his meal on it. Banging on the door, I placed his meal on a table we kept near his door and left. It was no use talking to him as he didn't communicate, he was traumatized more than I was— he's not the same person that I knew.
Mom, Jonas, and I sat around the dining table. It was just the four of us or should I say three for a while now. Mom is sick but she's good at masking her feelings but she knew that I knew and that's why I have to work to help provide for us. She passed the food for us around the table and we took what we wanted including Jonas.
"Mom I'm heading out and Jonas be good or else no chocolate cake," I shouted.
"Be safe now and let me meet that girl one day," Mom yelled.
Time was running out and I had to leave to pick up Avery. Crap I had twelve minutes to reach. Speeding down the road I broke almost all of the red stop lights; getting out of the car, she was there waiting for me.
What the hell...
She was so stunning and sensual in that dress. The sweater she had on didn't do much as I could still see her every curve. Her big brown eyes stared at me so seductively. Taking quick steps towards her I immediately said, "You're not wearing that."
"You don't like it," she said fidgeting.
"No, you look so beautiful and sexy in that dress Avery, I don't want anyone to be looking at you with lustful eyes," I said rather calmly.
I was anything but calm.
"H-huh, what are y-you saying i***t," her cheeks flustered red.
That reaction from her was so cute it made me want to tease her even more.
I bend my head before whispering lowly in her ear, "I'm just joking princess, let's go."
Her face became more flushed and she pushed past me and went into the car herself.

I introduced her to some of my friends, she looked uninterested. A lot of alcohol was here so I am going to look for some soda for her.
"Avery wait here, I'm going to get some soda for you to drink, and don't take anything from anyone," I said sternly.
Turning my back. I went into the kitchen and into the fridge to see what they have left that was not alcoholic. There was some fruit juice and a bottle of grape soda.
Before I could head back a drunk girl came in flirting with me, trying to avoid her she puked all over my shirt.
For Christ's sake. This can't be happening right now. Grabbing the bottle of soda, went to the nearest bathroom and clean this disgusting puke off me. I need to hurry up and reach back to Avery.
I found Avery on the dance floor telling some stranger no and the creep was still forcing himself on her, "Get the hell away from her you piece of s**t, I'm sure you heard her say no," I intervened.
He let go of Avery which was good. I couldn't stand him touching her like that with those pedophile hands.
"Go mind your business twig face boy," the stranger said.
This man needed to be taught a lesson to not touch what was mine. The killer instinct triggered off in me and the next thing I knew I lost it. He was drunk and not a match for me— I hit him so hard that he staggered back. I sent the guy flying to the ground constantly hitting him in the face until my knuckles were bloody.
How dare you touch her with those hands?
How dare you? I'll kill you.
I could hear Avery screaming but her words were unclear all that was on my mind was to kill the man.
Avery tried to pull me off the man but I wouldn't move. Someone yanked me forcefully, "Stop you're scaring Avery, f*****g look at her man," Desmond said angrily.
I looked over in her direction and noticed her. Tears were running down her face. She looked horrified. Rushing over to her as she fell to the ground I took her head into my lap constantly reassuring her that she'll be okay and telling her sorry over and over.
Desmond gave me a murderous stare as he dialed someone yelling at them to bring his car around the front of the party house.
