Yao moved with calculation, his fingers twitching as something that resembles the spinning third eye materialised into real form as it spun.
After realising that all it took is damages to bring this creature down to its original power level, he decided to go all out, borrowing insane power from the rotating third eye and his monstrous inner world.
Angry, the creature let out an ear-piercing roar.
*RoArrrrrrrrrr*
The sky trembled but Yao was prepared. He drew the Ninefold Heavens Concealment inscription as it fluctuated in the void.
Yao desperately wanted to control time but saw no way out. But if he kills this monster who's adept in mostly time-related skills, he could use the body to pave a path for himself.
The moment the Ninefold Heavens Concealment fully took form, it was as if the universe itself was constricted by an alien force.
The creature moved with a purplish distortion as it tried to evade through time and space. But as long as the Ninefold Heavens Concealment has been activated, it could see through everything all at once.
Yao immediately imbued a sword qi which fluctuated with his Spirit energy and vitality.
Tapping at the void, this spirit sword shot through space and cleaved it apart…
The third eye kept spinning as something flickered.
An epiphany.
Yao's eyes lit up at the sudden foresight. Something he had been missing, that is probably stopping him from finally breaking through.
For some time now, he had been merely using infinity on his spirit energy and his spirit energy control had broken through from the clarity stage to the infinity stage, despite not really doing anything in the clarity stage.
It was more like…skipping a level to attain a higher level, but from that point, he is probably being groomed to make up for the previously skipped level.
Now what Yao really needed to leave the true qi realm is…cleaving the spirit sea. It doesn't necessarily mean that he had to cleave his own spirit sea. It could represent something else.
He had successfully transformed his spirit energy into a sea, he has also successfully perceived his spirit sea.
What remains is to cleave it.
Now this creature would be a medium of his spirit sea. We can consider this as Yao's lab rat used for experiment purposes.
Ninefold Heavens Concealment concealed the heavens, earth, space and time.
Yao's spirit energy wrapped around it, acting as a conduit. The purplish distortion from the creature is akin to its resistance… trying to resist the time suppression created by Yao's Ninefold Heavens Concealment.
With a furious roar, the earth shook and trembled, causing shockwaves to roll forward. The tsunami from it could even destroy the sky itself.
That was when Yao's spirit sword pierced the skull of the creature, splitting it open…
Then, Yao's spirit energy wrapped around the creature lit up. The purplish distortion from the creature, absorbed into it and then miraculously, the creature did not die even after it had died from that headshot and that is because an endless loop had been created by Yao.
From the point where the spirit sword was shot to the time it pierced the creature's skull…the loop continued constantly as the creature was horrified.
It died a thousand times, felt the pain of its skull pierced through a thousand times. It was simply too revolting.
Meanwhile Yao was finally ascending after concluding his metaphoric experiment.
Transmuting true qi to spirit qi is not merely an ascension of martial dao training, but also a transformation, a ritual of leaving behind the mundane and entering the spirit.
The enhancement of strength and raising one's level in this process is important, but the enhancement and transformation of the heart's strength is equally important.
Yao examined the difference from before and now…
There was indeed a shocking difference. He did not need to breathe… he could now fly. His strength had surpassed its previous limit. Right now, if he encounters a creature using the eye transformation ability that this particular creature had used. He should be able to deal with it even with the indigo eye transformation.
Yao did not know why but his power had yet again been raised significantly… suddenly remembering the violet patterns in his inner world, he ignored the looped creature and dived into his inner world and just as he had suspected, it was actually clearing the levels in the spirit realm without him really doing anything.

The spirit realm has ten levels to clear.
Level 1 - 3: Small Spirit Realm (***)
Level 4 - 6: Earth Spirit Realm (***)
Level 7 - 9: Sky Spirit Realm (***)
Half Step Origin Realm: Spirit King (**)
mysteriously, level 1 to 3 has already been cleared and it is just remaining for him to wash it down with spirit energy for him to become a Small spirit realm cultivator.
He crossed his feet as he sat down in mid air as he slowly started to cultivate…that is, washing his meridians down with spirit energy and for two days straight he did not move until his aura finally changed.
When Yao opened his eyes, he was worried. When he was in the true qi realm, to clear an acupoint and wash it down with spirit energy didn't take so long. Actually, clearing is a hassle, but since Yao had not really cleared one before, he felt it wasn't difficult.
The main point is that, washing an acupoint down with spirit energy doesn't take much time to finally bring him to the stages and yet in the spirit realm, it takes exactly two days to completely wash down three meridians down with spirit energy.
Quickly putting that at the back of his mind, he slowly approached the creature he had killed and placed in a time loop…
