Chapter 9

Visions aren't real.

What is happening? Is this true? A murderer?

"Stop!"

Everything went back to normal. My surroundings went back inside the kingdom. We all both look to pur left when a tall boy shout while standing there. He looks like me, exactly like me. Is he the Prince? The real prince?

"What is Happening?" The king ask. He look at me and look to the boy who look exactly like me. "Dad, I am your real son! It's me Prince Eric!" The boy said. "Eric?" Princess Cassandra called his name. "Cassandra!" Prince Eric said and they hug each other.

I can see the reaction of people. They are all confuse. I look to Prince Eric and he is wearing a white shirt and a black pants. His mouth is bleeding and his shirt has a blood stain too.

"If you are my son. Then who are you!" The king ask and point his finger to me. "I am--" I stop talking when two of his guards went running towards the king. "Sir! King Balbusca escaped!" The two guards said. "It can't be!" The king exclaimed. "King Balbusca kidnapped me and he locked me at our kingdom's basement with others! Those people has my crown! They get my crown to King Balbusca but King Balbusca found it so they locked them up too." The Prince explain. I think I might know who are those people.

"Freed him." The king command the guards who is holding me. "The Party is over!" The King command. "How'd you free yourself Son?" The king ask. "Their were two people free me and they said that they are friends of the Prince. But I am the prince so I ask them again and they tell me the truth." The Prince explain.

I was shock when someone touches my shoulder. When I look back I saw Cameron. "Where's Charles?" I ask him. "He is freeing the other players! All of them are locked up down the basement." He answer.

"I think im gonna fade out." I said. "Why?" Cameron ask. "My stomach are empty." I answer him. "Who are you?" The king ask me agan and walk towards me. "I am... I am..." Before I spell out my name, everything went black and I felt my body touch the floor.

I open my eyes slowly and I felt the cold air in my body. I realized that I am laying on a bed. "You really look like me huh." I was shock when there's someone speak beside me. I look to the person who spoke and  saw Prince Eric. He gave me a bowl of soup and a water. "You had a lot of friends, how many of them? 70?." The Prince said and laugh like there is something funny. "They're not all my friends, and yeah we really look alike. Except your eyes are green and you have a mole under your lips. And do you know what make us more different? I am  much handsome than you." I said and smile, we both laugh because we both know it's true. "You passed out 3 times this day, Your friend said."I drank the soup and the water that he gave me that makes me feel little better. "I'm really hungry." I said.

He looks friendly like me, he really looks like me but the different is he is the better version of me. He is a prince, a handsome me, well we have the same feature,  a normal me and has a perfect life and family.

"Where is your mother by the way? Or the queen?" I ask him. He look to me confuse. "Why'd you ask?"  "Im just wondering that you have a perfect life and a perfect family until I realized I didn't saw the queen at the party." I explain. "She was murdered, and until now the killer is still not in justice. And you know, you don't need to have a complete family for our life to be perfect. We just have to be our self, then we can live our life peacefully and free without our parents." He answered.

Maybe he is right. The only way for my life to be perfect is to be myself, and I can live my life free.

"Did you know where we came from?" I ask him when I notice that he isn't talking about the blood on my shirt. "Why? Your friend told us the truth on where all of you came from. You are at the battle. Your kingdom was destroyed and you are the reason why your kingdom won. And, I'm sorry by the way because you and your crew from downstairs are the only people who survived." He said.

Oh, that was a good lie.

"Are they eating downstairs?" I ask and he answered yes. "What's the date today by the way?" I ask because I am curious, and to  discover slmething. What if they still didn't know what a date and age is? "It's August 15, 2011" He answered.

2011? Is this still a Blue Whale game? Or we are time traveling?

"Where's Princess Cassandra? Or your wife." I ask. "She's downstair. She's helping my dad or the king. I request to her that she's gonna leave both of us alone because I want to know you better." He said. "Hey Prince Eric? I have to confess. I kiss your wife, I don't want it but I need to, to act as you." I confess.

Is it right to confess my own sin? I don't want to be guilty.

"I know. Cassandra confess too. She explain that she taught that I am you. So no worries" He said. I smiled. "By the way, before you go downstairs to eat. Please take a shower because you really smell blood." He added.

He help me stand  and gave me a towel and clothes to wear.

It's really weird because I only saw a Prince, Princess, King and kingdom in movies but not in real life.  Eventhough this isn't a real life and we're still inside the game, I felt that everything is real.

After taking a shower I look to the mirror. I felt clean for the first time inside the game. I look to my arm where a cloth was tied up there to stop the bleeding.  I untie it and ripped another piece of cloth in my shirt to replace the old one. Why they want me dead? What did I do? I need to find that person before I ended up dead without knowing the truth.

I went outside the bathroom after cfixing myself and Prince Eric is no where to be found inside his room so I went outside to go downstairs. I walk to an aisle or a hallway where doors are everywhere. Little by little I heard noises from downstairs like they're laughing. So I walk fast because I am really hungry, my stomach is empty. I walk down the stairs and walk towards the kitchen. When i approach the kitchen they all stop talking and eating and they all look to me.

"Welcome Jack. Sit anywhere you want." The King said. I look for sits and the only available sits is from Daniel sidel. I sit there and they continue to eat. "Give the food to Jack." The king request.

Oh god! For the first time inside this game! I'm gonna eat a delicious food. I get the roasted chicken and soup and pork and some vegetable. I ate all of it like there's no tomorrow.

"Slow down Jack. It can stuck on your throat" The Prince said. "So Jack, tell me about yourself. We now know everyone." The king said. I look to them confuse. "You really look like my son." The king said. I think this is awkward. What I'm going to say? I don't know everything about 2011. I mean, how they do their life before.  "This people said that you are their saviour. How did that happened?" The king ask. Oh god. What im going to tell? "Actually i am not their saviour. We save our own life, I didn't save them." I said and continue to eat. "We know that but you defeated the king who want's to destroy your Kingdom. What's your kingdom called again? I forgot it." The King said. While his eating. "Our kingdom name is..." I said and stop because I'm thinking a good kingdom name. "Willington Kingdom sir. That's our kingdom called." I look to my left when Daniel answer the question.

Willington Kingdom? It's like the name of our school, Willington academy.

"Oh yes now I remember. So Jack, tell me. Why the war started? I didn't ask your team because I know that you are the one who knows the reason. " Oh s**t. I need to think something! Why and how the war started?

I look around and they are all looking to me.

"You know you can tell us everything what happened to the park Jack." I was shock when I heard Justin's voice. I look back and saw my bedroom while Justin is sitting on my bed.

"I don't really remember Justin! But I know I didn't kill those people! I didn't kill our friend!" I look to my right when I heard my voice. "Did you remember the explosion?" Justin ask and he stand and walk towards my other self. "What explosion your talking about? At the park or the 2036?" My other self. "I was talking about 2036  After the explosion people can't remember. Something is going on that time. The story that has been told to us isn't at real!" Justin said and i saw my confuse face. "How did you know that Justin?" My other me ask. "You know that my aunt works in Government right?" He ask me then my other me said yes. "Well--"

My visions fade away like it's just a smoke when I the king's voice. "Jack?"

"There was an explosion before the war. We all heard it and that is the sign that the war started." I said. I look to the king's eyes. "I don't know what's the reason why the war started, I just knew that I'm a normal person on our kingdom and that I don't have anyone else. I don't have parent's too and that I just woke up living in the kingdom." I explain and eat again.

No one talk like there is something wrong at what I said. "But you are the prince of your kingdom, right?" The king said. What? Why they make me a prince in their lie? "I woke up living inside the kingdom with a crown on my head. I don't know why I become a prince. Maybe I hit my head that hard." I said. "Dad. Stop asking question to Jack. He is tired. Remember he faint out 3 times this day." The prince said.

"That's a good lie." Daniel first compliment to me. I felt full after those delicious food. "But next time if your gonna make a big lie, don't use your real life." He added. I face him." If you want them to believe! You should stick to your experience when you lie and just changed some information for it to be realistic." I said.

I took a deep breath. What are those visions that I saw earlier? This is the third time I had the same visions about myself.

"What do you think is the next challenge is?" He ask. "I think that the next challenge is you tell me what happened to me last year! I had a 3 visions about my self today! Three! And it's all connected about what happened at the park on May 17 2042! About the murder!" I said in a high tone but in a low voice. 

We went to the kingdom's balcony after eating those delicious foods earlier

Charles was shock after hearing those words that I just said. I know he is the only person who can help me. He is my only chance! If he didn't tell me what happened to me last year, I'm not gonna solve anything I wanted to solve. What if he died? Then no one can tell me about myself!

"Visions are visions. Visions aren't real." He said.

I want to be mad! But I know if I get to mad him again, I wont get the answer that I want.

"You know what Charles? Eat your ass." I said and walk away from him.

"Good day BW players. It's not hard right? You had a better life here but it's not long because that life is just now. Your next Challenge is to protect Prince Eric from the upcoming war tomorrow. Prepare yourself. After the war, one of  those dead bodies who lives inside the kingdom has the key inside of them. If you get the key, there is a hidden door inside the kingdom. Without the prince, you can't find the key and the hidden door. Good luck players. Take all the foods and everything you want before the war started." The game announcer said.

It's just us who heard the announcements, the players.

"We need to tell the king that there will be a war tomorrow." I heard the other player talking. "That is a good idea!" The other player answered. I smiled at them when all of them look at me. "Hey Jack." I look to  them when they called my name.

"You know that we want to win the game right? Because we want the prize." The girl said. "I know." I said. "Because a million dollar will let us be rich." The other girl said. "What do you mean million dollar?" I ask them. "The prize. Why?" The other player ask. "Nothing." I said.

A million dollar? That's their prize? Money?

I look to Charles and he is now talking to Nadia. "Can we talk." I was shock when Daniel approach me. "What is that?" I ask him. He turn around and walk. So? His gonna ask me to talk to him then his gonna turn around and walk?

"What are you doing? Follow me!" He said.

Oh. Okay.

So I did what he said. If I ended up dead here. Im gonna kill him to his dream, i swear. He stop walking and face me.

"I want you to cooperate with me." He said. I was shock. Cooperate? And why is that? "Cooperate on what? And why?" I ask him I cross my arm and I lift my left eyebrow while waiting. He cross his arm too. "You are very clever in playing this game. So I want you to cooperate with me this next challenge. All I want you to do is don't. Kill. Anyone at the war." He said.

Don't kill anyone? And why is that?

"I just want you to protect the prince. Because you too look really alike." He said.

I think that's the wonderful thing he offered me.

"Ok." I said. "That is a good offer." I continue. "Good." He said and smiled.

"Let me go!" I heard my own voice at my back so I turn around.

I'm having my 4th vision today.

I saw myself being wild, trying to released from the two bodyguards who is holding me. Bernard is standing in front of me, i mean the other me.

"Why do you really want me? Why?! What is your real intentions? What do you want? What the f**k do you want from me!!" My other self shouted. The lights flickered. After a second the two bodyguards lying down.

"Your making me strong Bernard or do you want me to call you a President? You don't know who I am! What things I can do!" My other self continue. The lights turn off for a seconds and when it open my other self is now lying down on the floor, and at his back there is a man who is holding a syringe.

"I hope it work." Mr. Bernard said.

What really happened? What is really happening to me? Why I am calling Mr. George Bernard a President? Except if he become our new Local President in Friday Harbor.

I know Charles is hiding something. That my visions is real! It's not just a vision! It is my memory! But there is one thing I'm not believing.

The murder thing.

Because I didn't murdered someone. I am not a murderer.
