Chapter 10

The end of the f*cking Kingdom

It's 10 in the evening and I'm just laying on the bed, can't sleep. We are all sleeping on the guest room. I was shock when the king told us that we're gonna sleep here in the guest room. I'm not shock because we are sleeping here, I am shock because this kingdom has a guest room?

Like what? Is this a modern kingdom?

Everyone is sleeping except for me. I went outside the room. I really can't sleep even I am tired like hell. I walk towards the hallway and I want some fresh air so I decided to go from the kingdoms balcony.

Everything is quiet, the only noise I can hear is the sound of a howling wind. I saw Prince Eric standing at the balcony, leaning to the edge doing nothing. "Can't sleep?" I ask him while walking towards him. I can see at his posture that he was shock. He face me while laughing.

"Did I scare you? Sorry for that." I said and smiled. He face me and smiled back. "Yeah a little." He answer. "What is it like to be a Prince?" I ask him. He look at me with his confuse face. "You are a Prince. Why are you asking?" He said.

Oh s**t. I remember them lying about me being a Prince.

"I mean in this Kingdom what it's like to be a Prince? In my kingdom? Rules are rules. My  life is kinda suck to be honest. I woke up being a Prince, Prince that cannot do anything he wants because if I did, there are consequences that I have to face. I was in Jail in my kingdom, I am in Jail." I explain.

I am describing my life, that is my life before this game. I am in jail and I am afraid to do things because I can't control my power. Everytime I walk I know people are staring. I am not free to do things. I am afraid to do things.

"Im sorry to hear that. But atleast you won the battle." He said and look to me. "The battle is just starting Prince Eric." I said. I wish Eric was right. That im gonna win the fight.

"Well being Prince in this kingdom I have to be wise, to protect my crown. Their are people who wants my crown. The king didn't tell me what is the importance of my crown he is just telling that my crown is the first crown of the first king and that that crown is very vulnerable, and that it has power. I don't really know what is he talking about." He said. "Now I have wife and the hardest thing is my wife dad is my enemy. My life is just like yours. I'm not free too. Ever since the queen died I discovered something." He added and he look to the sky. "That life is important, even something is missing inside of you, you will never lose hope. " He continued. "And something is missing inside me. I don't know what it is but I know there is something inside me that I cant unleash." He end.

What if the thing that is missing inside him is the power of controlling things using mind? Like me? What if Prince Eric is really me but he is the other me living in this world. Look today is 2011 and my year is 2042 and he is 49 years old if my year comes. What if...

What if we changed the past? We are gonna save the Prince tomorrow. What if his death is tomorrow? October 16 2011?

"When is your birthday by the way?" I ask him. "May 16, 1993 why? When is yours?" He ask.

1993? Oh god. That's a long year.

"Same as yours." I said. No we're not same, same date same day but not same year.

"What if a war will begun? What are you gonna do?" I ask. "Im gonna protect my wife Cassandra, and the kingdom." He said. "How about the king?" I ask. "I love the king, but I think it's my time to be a king too." He said.

Oh yes. He is now married to a Princess. It's his time to take the Throne.  "Aren't you tired?" He ask me. "I am tired but I am not sleepy." I said. He smiled. "We're same. But I have to get back to bed." He said. Im thinking if the two of them had a hot night. Him and the Princess because I remember the Princess talking to me earlier about her plans.

"Things can change Jack, Things can change." I slowly open my eyes and I found myself in a white room. Is this one of my visions again? Or a dream?

There was a man standing in front of the bed. He is wearing a doctor suit.

"Are you a doctor?" I ask him. "Where I am?" I added. "I'm not a doctor, im a scientist, and you are at your own house." He said. I look around and nothing is familiar.

Own house?

"Im sorry, I mean your own room." He said and smiled. "Then why I am here? I supposed to play the game." I said. " Your gonna play the game I know, i just want you to know that no matter what happened. Do not slip the past into your hands. Because you are slowly healing." He said. " I hope you understand. I did it to protect you. We did those terrible things to protect you." The man said.

"Who are you?" I said. I can't stand or sit. I am paralyzed!

"Sooner or later, you will recognize me."

Until he fade away. Like a smoke again, my surroundings change again, and I came back to reality, I mean in the game.

"The war is starting." I was shock when Cameron is looking at me in my side. "What do you mean?" King Balbusca is back and he is threatening the King. " Cameron said. " Where are the others?" I ask him. "Downstair eating." He said. "They are eating while the two king are arguing? What is in their mind?!" I ask him. I stand and and ready myself.

"I just want to see my daughter! Can't you understand that!" King Balbusca is shouting. "You should be in Jail right now Balbusca! You steal my Son's Crown! And you lock my son and what? Beat him?" The king said.

"Hey you Mr. King whatever your name was!" I shout. All of them look at me again. Even the two kings and the Prince.

"Did you know that you are trespassing in this kingdom?" I said and walk towards him. "And disrespecting the king? You are a king but you can't respect another? You stole the crown and try to kill the Prince. You should be in Jail!" I said. The King laugh like he is a devil. "What did you say? Trespassing? Then what do you call yourself?" He ask me back. "I call myself as a person. Why? You don't know what a person is? Oh yeah I remember, cause you are not a person you are an animal, Bitch." I said.

I don't care if he is a king or what. The war is starting later. So what worst can be happen? Right?

King Balbusca look at King's eyes. "Don't trust by their words, I'm going back and if I go back you will be sorry!" King Balbusca said and walk away from the kingdom. "Why did you let him free Dad?" The Prince ask to the King. He look to Prince Eric's eyes. "His gonna come back, and when he come back I'll make sure that his not gonna go back to his own Castle, his own Kingdom!" The king said. He look to me in the eyes and walk towards me.

Okay? What is going on?

"You are wild and strong. But you didn't need to help me because I can handle things on my own." The King said. "All of you! After eating your breakfast! The door is open you can go anytime." The king said. "But we don't have place to stay." Cameron said. "I know! You can go back where all of you belong! Because there is no Kingdom Called Willington!" The king said.

Oh s**t. Now what? Can we Lie again? Or are we're gonna tell the truth? Now what?

"What is the truth Jack? Where do you really live? And what is you intention?" The King ask. "Dad be easy on them." The Prince said. But the King didn't listen and he continue to walk towards me. "What are your intentions?" The King repeated.

"To save the Prince." I said. The Prince look at me with his confuse face. "What do you mean?" The Prince ask me.

Before i say any word we heard an explosion. Is the war starting?

"King Balbusca?!" The King spell out his name. "Are you shock? Am I fast to come back?" King Balbusca said. We are all shock when King Balbusca shot the King direct to his heart. "Dad!" The Prince scream. I saw King Balbusca tries to shot Prince Eric. I run towards him and push him. We heard a gun shot.

"Attack them!!" The king shouted. We are all shock when  lot of people attacked us, I mean lot of people. "What is Happening Jack?!" The prince ask. "There will be a war today and we need to protect you!" I said. "You don't have too! I can handle myself Jack!" He said. He look to the king.v"Dad! Please don't let go!" The Prince start to cry.

The king touches Prince cheek. "I will always by your side Eric. Always." The king said while running his breath. The King look to me. "I know you've been lying to us since the first time we met, I just want to know what is your intentions." The king said. "We all know that you are lying, but there is something that isn't a lie... Your heart. You are totally strangers to us but I felt like something is connecting between us." The king continue. He took a deep breath and hold my arm. "Let your lie become real Jack. I am begging you." The king added.

The Prince starts to cry until the king's life been faded.

What is the king talking about? Connected?

I took a deep breath. I want to win the game! I want to kill that Balbusca because there is something to him that I hated! The vibes of that man who took me before I inside the game.

"Cassandra.. Princess Cassandra!" The Prince said when he remembered the Princess. He stand and run upstairs. "Prince Eric!" I called his name and followed him. I look outside. Full of blood and full of dead people. I hope the players didn't die.

I followed Prince Eric from upstairs and find him. "Eric!!" I heard Balbusca's voice. "You know I really hate you right?" King Balbusca said to the King's dead body. I was shock when he shot the king again and this time it's his head and he laugh. This king is out of his Mind! For a crown? He will start a war and kill the King?!

Is the guard of this kingdom is really a guard? Or there just a person who wants to live their life peacefully?

"Jack." I heard Prince Eric's voice so I turn around. "Hide the crown and yourself. I am begging you Prince Eric. You don't know what can  happen next!" I said. Princess Cassandra starts to cry. She hold Prince Eric's hand tightly.

Until I realized something.

In this game, we have to be smart and wise. That's the only thing we can do to save ourselves. Be wise and smart.

I look to the prince and smiled. This Challenge isn't easy as I thought. But I know, we can defeat this monster. Maybe there is a reason why I woke up like this. Maybe there is a reason why Dr. Carter or the creator of this game said I am special.

All of the events and things that are happening to me or us has a reason, I just need to wait to find the answer.
