The Unexpected

Chapter 2

OMG! He was hot. I have never seen a guy as hot as him. Well, besides Jason of course, but he was gay. Damn this must be the new kid that everyone's talking about. 

His eyes seemed to draw me in. They were a sort of grey, but a hint of green specks woven in. It was beautiful to look at. He was what you call a f*****g man who was sculpted by gods. 

"Okay, class. Listen up. This here is a new student, who will be joining us his year. So, please welcome him and hopefully, he will like it here." Mr Murray looking at all of us in the eyes. "Why don't you introduce yourself to the class," pointing to the front of the class.

The new kid walked to the front of the class and pushed his hands through his hair.

"umm, hi. My name is Jace. And I.. ah.. just moved here from America." Jace said looking really shy in front of everyone.

The class started muttering.

"Wow, America."

"Damn, I wish I could go to America"

"Okay, class settle down now." waving his hands around. "Why don't you take a seat. There's a spot next Lilia."

Oh no, not me. OmG. Anyone but me.

Jace sat down next to me with all his books and bag. 

"Uh, hi." Jace turned to look at me.

"OMG! Hi, I'm Zoey." Zoey holding out her hand, sliding over me to reach him.

"Um, hi Zoey."

"This girl here is Lilia and this dude here is Jason. My two besties." Smiling so hard.

"ahahhah,. Gurl get out of his face. Leave the poor kid alone." laughed Jason.

Zoey threw her hands up muttering.

"Jason! Zoey! No talking" yelled Mr Murray. Looks like he knows bout us three. "Okay, everyone turn to the person next to you and introduce yourself and talk about yourself. Go!"

I turned my body facing Jace and smiled.

"Hey, my name is Lilia and I'm guessing I'm going to be your tour s***h helper to this school."

"Oh, that's cool. The school is pretty big, so I'm probably gonna get lost."

"Naa, our year 10 campus or side of the campus is pretty small. It's easy to navigate once you get the gist of it."

"Let me see your timetable," holding my hand out to Jace.

"Oh, here."

"Sweet, we have the same classes," I said to him. "We have English, Methods, Science, Technology and sport. I have French, while you have Business Management with Max," giving his timetable back.

"That's good. I won't be alone in my classes," Jace smiling at me. I think him and I will be good friends. He gives a really good vibe. "Wait, who's Max?"

RING RING!

"Alright, class. Pack up and go to recess." Mr Murray telling us and packing up.

Courtyard

"Hey yo!" waved Grant. 

We all sat in a circle round the table. 

"Everyone, this is Jace and he is the new kid y'all been talking bout," Jason said pointing at Jace.

I rolled my eyes at Jason and sat down next to Zoey and Jace on my other side. Zoey was sitting next to Jason and he was sitting next to Grant. On Jason's other side was Max and Macey. 

"Okay, so that there is Max and next to him is Macey and her boyfriend Grant, who is Zoey's twin." me pointing at Max, Macey and Grant. "And you already know these two knuckleheads. Jason and Zoey."

"Hi," Jace smiled at everyone.

"Hey,"

"Hi"

"Okay, everyone take out your timetables." I said." I wanna know who I'm with."

Everyone took out their tables and gave them to me. I lined the timetables on the table and scanned through the papers.

"Okay, so it looks like we have at least one person in all the classes," I said.

"Omg, yes that's so good." Macey exclaimed.

I got out a piece of paper and started writing out the different classes and who we were with.

Monday/Wednesday/Friday

Homeroom: 10 Green: Macey and Grant

                       10 Blue: Jason, Jace, Zoey and Lilia

                      10 Gold: Max

Period 1: English (D12)- Jace, Max, Zoey and Lilia

                 Maths(D13)- Macey, Jason and Grant

Period 2: Science(E4)- Grant, Zoey, Max and Jason

                History(D12)- Jace, Macey and Lilia

Recess  

Period 3: Science(E4)- Jace, Macey and Lilia

                History(D12)- Grant, Zoey, Max and Jason

Period 4: English(D12)- Macey, Jason and Grant

                 Maths(D13)- Jace, Max, Zoey and Lilia 

Lunch  

Period 5: Sport(hall)- everyone

Tuesday/Thursday

Homeroom

Period 1: French(D13)- Macey, Zoey and Lilia

                 Italian(D14)- Grant and Max

                 Spanish(D12)- Jace and Jason

Period 2: Food Studies(F2)- Everyone

Recess

Period 3: Technology(F7)- Grant, Jace, Max and Lilia

                 Fashion Design(F5)- Macey, Jason and Zoey

Period 4: Sport(Field)- Boys

                 Dance(Studio)- Girls

Lunch

Period 5: Art(F5)- Jason, Macey and Zoey

                 Business Management(D12)- Jace and Max

                 Robotics and Electronics(E4)- Grant and Lilia

Lunch

"Omg. I love Fashion Design. Thank God, I chose that subject." exclaimed Macey.

"I know, it's so good," replied Zoey.

"How was Tech?" Jason asks me.

"It was really good." walking back to our spot.

"Okay, so I was thinking since today is Tuesday. We should have a pool party after school at your house Lils," said Grant.

"Oh yes, that's such a good idea," I exclaimed. Oh and please note my sarcasm. "Our parents will totally allow that." They actually would, considering it's only the start of the year and we haven't gotten a single bit of homework. It's also because we had our electives today. 

"Hey, what's wrong with that." Max noting my sarcasm. 

"I honestly don't feel like getting wet today. I just want to go home and binge Vampire Diaries or rewatch The Kissing Booth 2. Or something that's really chill."  I have been really tired lately and I have no idea why. I think I have insomnia. Urgh.

"Okay, well I'm going home with you right?" Zoey asked me.

"Ye, I think." 

"Okay, well we can all watch at your house then. You included Jace. You're part of us now." Jason said.

"OK. Let me ask my dad if you guys can come over." I said back. Resting my head on Max's shoulder. 

"Hey, you ok?" whispered Max into my ear.

"Ye, I'm just really tired." closing my eyes.

"Did stay up last night again?"

"I guess. I was watching Zach and Cody." 

I grabbed my phone out and texted my dad.

Me: Hey, daddy. Can the gang come over after school?

Dad: Hey, sweetie. Yes, they can. Only if their parents say ok.

Me: Dad. You're friends with them all, remember? I'm pretty sure they won't mind.

Dad: Yes, love. I know. They can come over. 

Me: Also, there is a new kid. Jace. He's coming over too. I think.

Dad: Ye, that's fine. I'll be back a bit later, so the boys will take care of you, kay?

Me: What about mum?

Dad: She'll be at home, too. dw.

Me: Okay. Thanks, daddy. :)

"Okay, y'all. My house tonight."
