Chapter 25: Akton
While the next town was a little over a week away, it didn’t feel that far off to Akton. He and Talfryn traveled steadily, supplementing their food with what they managed to forage or catch, and spent each night sparring before falling asleep in each other’s arms. s*x was either in the evening or in the morning when they woke hard, or sometimes both. He found he enjoyed the journey with Talfryn now that they were open with each other about their shifting abilities.
“A lot of fields,” said Talfryn after they’d gone several miles down the road and still hadn’t come to a settlement. “Must be a decent sized town.”
