Alpha Of Darkness

Chapter 12

I wake up in a room. It has the same things the room the my aunt and uncle set up for me. I sit up and look around. Where am I? I sit up and rub my head and groan quietly. I stand up and stumble a bit, but catch my balance.

I walk to the dresser and slide my fingers across the top of it. I stop when I feel my name that I engraved.

Salem.

I my fingers again but feel something else engraved.

Leon.

I look at the dresser and see everyone has engraved their names.

Collin. Sarina. Max. Elza. Ilya. Landon. Dermon. Larissa. Aster.

Larissa and Aster, who are they. I look at the jewelry box. Its small and white with flowers painted on it. I open and look inside and see a necklace with my sapphire birthstone. I close it and walk around the room.

This room has everything from the old pack house, the curtains, bed set, decorations it even has the huge painting I did. I chuckle to myself. I always had an obsession with nature. I tried to paint the back garden they had.

I look on a chair and see a stuffed wolf. Ziggy. I pick up the wolf and hug it. I completely forgot about him. I forgot about a lot of things. I hold out the wolf and look at it. It looks untouched. The door behind me slowly open and my aunt walks in. She sees me and runs and hugs me.

" Salem. "

She pulls away and puts her hands on my cheeks. " I'm so sorry. We all are. If we knew what your father was gonna do, we would've stopped him. "

" There's nothing you could've done. They would've found me anywhere I went, and father made the deal when I was a child. "

She smiles slightly. " He got what he deserved though. "

" I guess, I mean I don't really know what they did to him, I haven't paid much mind to them. "

She looks surprised. " Really. "

I nod.

She chuckles slightly. " He's no longer an alpha, and your siblings aren't alphas as well. Everything they had scholarships, jobs, any phd's everything got stripped. "

" Seriously. " I chuckle. " They deserved it, actually, they deserve worse. "

She lets go of my face and backs away. I think she saw the hatred on my face.

" You hate them now. "

" I despise them. "

She looks down. " Yes. I heard about you. I never thought my caring niece would turn out to be the alpha of darkness. "

I feel a sharp pain in my chest. "I'm sorry. "

She shakes her head. " Don't apologize honey, its not your fault. " She looks at me and smiles. " We still love you. "

Loud footsteps are heard coming towards the room, and all my cousins barge in.

" Wow. No knocking or anything. " I say.

They all chuckle and make a group hug with me in the middle. They all squeeze really hard.

" Can't breath. " I say strained.

They let me go and start talking at the same time.

" We missed you. "

" You're so pretty oh my goddess. "

" Why are you taller than me. "

" Enough. " My aunt say sternly.

They all back off.

" She just woke up and please don't overwhelm her. " She say.

" Its okay aunty, i'm fine. "

She smiles. " Lets go see your uncle, he was been worried and is dealing with your team. "

I sigh. " That must be fun. "

" Yea that one chick Kendra is really annoying him. " Sarina says.

" Sylvie's nice though. " Collin says blushing.

" You're saying that because she is your mate. " Max says.

" So. Where's your mate. " He snaps.

" Oh s**t your right, where is she. That woman is always wondering off. " Max says leaving the room and looking for his mate.

Everyone just shakes their head. Leon puts his arm around me " Come on. Lets go see dad. "

" Okay. "

We all walk to his office. The house is pretty big and has three floors. We walk down the stair then head down a long hallway. I stop walking and look to the side at the wall, more like through it.

" Whats wrong. " Leon asks.

" You have one here. "

" One what. "

" Hmm. "

We reach the office and knock on the door.

" Come in. " My uncle says.

We walk in and his annoyed face instantly brightens up. " Salem. " He smiles.

He gets out of his chair and walks around his desk and hugs me. He lets go of my and looks at me. " You grew up to be so beautiful. "

" You're finally awake. " Kendra says in her annoying voice.

" I can't wait to get rid of you honestly. " "

She huffs.

" Where are the relics. "

" We have them in the trunk of the car. " Josh says.

" We have to hurry and bring them back. "

They look at each other then at me.

" What. "

" Don't you want to spend time with them. " Sylvie says.

" Yes I do, but we have powerful relics that we have to get back. If they get their hands on them, we have no idea what they'll do. "

" We know, but Lilith spend time with your family. "

I sigh. " I will, when we finish this mission. "

" Stay for a bit at least. " My uncle pleads.

" I want to stay, but I can't. It's best that I go now and come back. "

" Do you have to leave. "

" I'm team leader, I'll come back. "

" Is it all right if we leave tomorrow. " Sylvie asks glancing at Collin.

I nod. " Shouldn't hurt. "

She smiles. I need to find that sealed away nephalem.
