Goodluck, my princess.
P.
Sitting on the three wheeled chair that rolled to any direction was always my favorite spot. Not only because it always had a view of my mom making breakfast, but because I could every detail of each decorations of the house. The tinted flower vase that looks transparent from the outside but is actually not, the paintings of monalisa hung up on the wall, and that of different arts and cultures displayed beautifully on the half off white painted wall. The sparkling chandeliers that hung from a particular spot, but has branches all over it like that of a flamboyant flower spreading out all it designs, making it look like it was actually hung from all directions. All these bringing sparkles to my eyes.
The interior of the house forming a large central hallway serving as the main avenue of traffic and entrance area to the adjacent rooms. The hallway flows into a large, wide staircase that provides the main means of egress of a site worth seeing. The wallpaper of different colors extracting the beauty of the predominant colors on the wall, with dark tan and gold highlights, creating an interesting contrast to the interior decorations.
I rolled my chair back to the counter, watching as my mom while she made French toast and caramel syrup to go with it for me. She was always a very good cook, and not to say fast at the same time, for she takes it as her responsibility to make breakfast for her family as the mother of the house.
"I'll be right back!" I told her abruptly, as I hurried up the staircase to get my bag. Walking was already getting tiring, as the stairs took so much of my energy. I counted the rooms one after the other, as my room was number- 9 based on my counting. Upon staying up to three weeks in our new house or would I say 'new mansion', you could still get lost or rather I could still get lost, while mom and dad had gotten quite used to the deepness of the house.
I got into my room seeing my bed unlaid, as the pillows and duvet are all on the floor and my bag was no where to be seen. I picked up my light green duvet and folded it, before placing it by the side and arranging my bed while I go back to look for my bag. I looked left and right, searching for it with my eye when I finally found it close to the arm chair, near the window.
'Now I remember how you got here.' I muttered to myself, as I remembered sitting by there last night, preparing my things for school today, while looking up at the sky. This has always been my favorite spot in the my room as I could see the stars shine brightly, and the night breeze could be felt peacefully due to the opening. I walk back to the counter to see a plate of French toast with caramel syrup and a glass of orange juice. Instantly, my face lit up, and I began smiling like a child just watching my mom.
"You know you have to stop smiling at me like that and eat your meal, if you don't want to be late for school." Mom spoke, having a smile on her face, as the dimple on her left cheek was evident. Today was my first day at school ever since we relocated, I could have started two weeks ago, but my mom said I could wait till I got used to the environment before I bombarded myself with - unknown faces.
"I'm just so grateful to have someone like you as my mom." I told her honestly as she stopped what she was doing and stared at me in awe. My mother, Lyrica stone. A strong and beautiful woman, one I admire, and one I dream to be. She is my role model, my joy, my pride and I wish to make her happy no matter what.
"My baby, I love you so much more than I could ever say, and I'm also thankful to have such a wonderful daughter like you." She spoke placing her hands on my chin and caressing it. "Now hurry up, your dad is gonna be coming down anytime soon to take you to school." She said. I nod gracefully placing my hand on hers, as we smiled at each other. I took a bite of the toast, devouring the sweetness as I closed my eyes, before taking another again and within minutes I was done. Dad came down almost immediately as I watched him in his black suit descending down the stairs.
"Good morning my Princess," Dad came towards me, while he hugged me by the side.
"Good morning daddy," I said to him smiling, while wiping my mouth with the handkerchief on the table.
"Ready to go?" He asked.
"Yes." I replied, as I took my ash bag and hung it on my shoulder before following him outside.
"Bye mom!" I spoke, turning back before we got to the door.
"Bye baby!" Mom replied, waving her hand.
"I'll be back soon, take care." Dad said after me to mom, as she just smiled and nodded her head. Driving with dad was always nice, there was this silent peaceful moment that you could just have to your self at times and just watch the road, and they are times where we would talk nonstop.
"So how do you think its going to be? I mean you new school," Dad asked, as I turned my head from the window.
"Umm...to be honest I don't know. The name seems nice though so... I don't know I can't really tell. It might seem nice from the outside, but at the same time it might be filled with typical mean students. I just hope its better than my last one." I told him, muttering the last part to basically myself but I'm sure he heard it.
Dad was silent for a while until he did speak again. "And if its not, I don't want you hiding it. Okay?" Dad says and I nod. The rest of the drive was pretty silent, as 'confident' by Demi lovato played through the speakers. I could tell dad wanted to say something due to his tapping on the staring wheel, for he always did that when he had something to say, but he was quiet this time, probably because he wanted me to think to myself and let me have my moment, as he could tell, I wasn't really in the mood to talk and this always happened when I was nervous, and right now I was.
All because of Bellevue High.
The song boomed through the speakers, as I took it as God sent, while I listened to the it properly and actually saw that it had a connection to my current situation. After all why be nervous, when you could be 'confident'. Our little drive finally came to an end, as I turned to look at my dad, who gave me a smile that I could see was genuine, in which I returned.
"You'll be okay, I know it." He said, putting a hand on my shoulder as he rubbed it.
"I hope so." I told him honestly, because even I wasn't sure of what was going to happen. It could either go bad or good, no in between.
"Look at me." Dad spoke to me after I bowed my head before bringing it up to look at him. "All you have to do is have confidence in your self and I'm sure you can pull what ever comes your way." He said to me and I nod acceptably.
"Thank you dad." I smiled at my Dad, before pulling him into a hug.
"Good luck my Princess." He smiled back at me ,as we pulled away. I turned to look out the window as I could see students in uniforms going in. I watched carefully as my eye rampaged through every one going in, and truth be told, I envied them. But now was not the time to envy anyone. Thank goodness the window was tinted, so no one could see my nervous expression. Dad put a hand on my shoulder, as I turned back to look at him and he gave me a reassuring smile, which I knew was my cue to leave. My dad would not be going in with me, because he had nothing doing there, everything needed to be processed had already been done. I was on my own now.
I took in a deep breath as I opened the door and put one foot outside, showing my puma converse, followed by my entire body coming out of the car. I shut the door as I stood watching students, viewing different kinds of people and their mode of appearances. I turned back as the sound of engine rolling was back on and watched the black Mercedes I just came out from zoom off. And then, I knew I was to find my way by my self. I was to survive on my own and I could do it. No matter what it took
All I had to do was to be confident.
