The Betrayal

Dylan and Daisy glanced at each other amidst the crowd, their expressions hardened and unreadable. Daisy had planned to go and see him after she was released from the hospital. She just wanted to make sure he was doing well, she never expected this to happen.
"Dylan, can we talk privately?" Daisy asked softly, trying to explain herself and not wanting to embarrass herself in front of everyone.
"The truth is already out there. Is there anything else to be revealed? Is the child yours? Seeing is believing. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I would have said it's a lie. Did you cheat on me with another man while I was lying in a hospital bed?"
Daisy held back her tears and couldn't deny the existence of her child. "Dylan, I have my reasons..."
"Enough, I'm not interested, now listen to me." Dylan averted his eyes without any warmth, leaving nothing but cruelty and coldness. "I, Dylan Noble, and Daisy Knight are breaking off our engagement. We will have no further relationship between us from now on."
Daisy's heart shattered instantly. She locked eyes with Dylan who was standing close to her but made Daisy feel as if they were already miles apart.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank one person. She accompanied me while I was sick. She took care of me, encouraged me, and treated me with all her heart." As he said these words, Dylan's handsome face was dominated by compassion. He was a completely different person from the one who looked at Daisy without care.
After Dylan finished speaking, he opened the door of the car beside him and extended his hand like a groom. A slender hand, beautiful as a sculpture, was placed in his palm and gently pulled out of the car.
Maisy Knight, dressed in a delicate red dress, radiated beauty. She smiled faintly, a radiant smile like flowers blooming in spring. She stood beside Dylan, who was tall and handsome and the two of them were a perfect match.
"Maisy, thank you for being honest with me. Thank you for giving me a new life." Dylan went down on one knee in front of everyone. "Maisy, will you marry me and be with me forever, will you marry me?"
Dylan held a huge sparkling diamond ring in his hand. Under the sun, the diamond reflected beams of light, blinding people's eyes.
"Say yes, say yes..."
"Marry him, marry him..."
The crowd cheered.
Maisy was touched, her eyes brimming with tears. She looked at Dylan with eyes full of love, but she didn't respond for a moment.
"Maisy, what's wrong? Don't you want to marry me?" Dylan noticed hesitation and conflict in her eyes.
"Dylan, I... Of course, I would love to. But my sister loves you so much, I can't do it..." Maisy furrowed her brow and shook her head with concern. "Although she made mistakes, please give her a chance? Forgive her, you'll be very happy."
"Maisy, you are innocent and generous." Dylan stood up. He held her fragrant shoulders with both hands, gently and sadly. "It's not that I didn't give her a chance. Your sister was cruel and left me! "Dylan, I did everything out of love. But things weren't easy for my sister." Maisy still pleaded for Daisy, gentle and kind.
Daisy looked at Maisy, who pretended to act innocent and harmless. She was hurt and wanted to scoff inside.
"Maisy, don't feel overwhelmed, it's your sister who let me down first! I, Dylan Noble, can't accept such a cruel woman again!" Dylan Noble comforted Maisy. "I just want to be with you now, Maisy. I love you, do you love me?"
Maisy bit her lip, tears falling down her cheeks. She looked dignified and graceful.
"Tell me, do you love me?" He persisted.
"I...I love you, I love you so much. But……"
She turned to look at Daisy a few meters away. "Sister, Dylan loves me, and I love him too. Please allow us to be together."
"Maisy Knight, Dylan Noble, I wish you happiness and hope the two of you die very soon." Daisy said bitterly, already tired and wishing to take her leave.
"Daisy, Dylan has finally recovered. Blame me for everything , I'm not afraid of anything. But I beg you not to say that to Dylan, he suffered half to death in the hospital..."
"Maisy, don't plead with her, she's not worthy!" Suddenly their mother emerged.
Daisy was slapped hard by her mother, leaving red finger marks on her face.

"Father, sister, needs us now. She just lost her way and made a mistake. We should help her." Maisy 'kindly' persuaded her parents.
"Help her? She abandoned her morals and left them behind. No one can help her!" Alex thundered, then he patted Maisy on the shoulder and said lovingly, "Fortunately, Maisy didn't disappoint us, your father and mother. Knowing that you will be with Dylan in the future, we feel relieved."
"Yes, it's impossible for our Noble family to accept such a shameless woman! She doesn't even deserve to be Dylan's servant!" At the same time, the head of the Noble family, Sam Noble, arrived and also chose Maisy. "Maisy, you're our Noble family's daughter-in-law. Maisy widened her beautiful eyes in shock, but slowly settled under Dylan's kiss.
Daisy struggled as much as she could to endure the pain in her eyes and the tears that began to flow. She wouldn't yield to the enemy!
She bit her lip, and the tip of her tongue was filled with the taste of blood and betrayal.
Daisy finally understood. This was the plan Maisy had devised long ago. Daisy couldn't explain herself, and no one would believe her anyway.
Her own parents decided she was no longer worthy of the Knight family name because she had a child out of wedlock. They abandoned her and chose to help their younger daughter, pure and noble, maintain her engagement and relationship with the Noble family. They didn't want the truth. They just wanted the engagement.
Although she failed at that moment, her eyes still filled with determination, without any sign of weakness. Daisy laughed inwardly, watching them together happily but suffering with shame. She vowed to one day bring them down as low as they had brought her today.
