Chapter 15 Royal Arrival

Leah’s POV

I was standing at the front of the Pack House beside Logan as the Royal entourage arrived.  A black SUV stopped in front of us and soon the Alpha King and Luna Queen came out.  The Alpha King walked up to Logan and pulled him into a hug, pulling apart he looked at me and smiled.  “Leah, I am glad to see you safe and healthy, it’s been a while” he said, giving me a kiss on my head.  I hadn’t seen the Alpha King since my parents' funeral.  My parents were deeply loved by the Kingdom so their funeral was attended by many.  I had never met the Luna Queen; she didn’t often leave the Royal pack so her attendance meant this was serious.   

“Shall we go inside and talk” Logan said motioning everyone to enter the Pack House.  Once inside we followed Logan to his office.  “This floor has been spelled to prevent anyone from listening and to stop anyone from speaking anything discussed outside this floor” Logan said.  The Alpha King nodded and took a seat with the Luna Queen sitting beside him.  Logan pulled me into his arms and whispered “If this becomes too much please let me know” I nodded giving him a kiss on the cheek.  

“So Logan, what do you have to share” the Alpha King asked.  Logan glanced at me then turned his attention to the Alpha King.  “Charles I’m afraid this has become more complicated than we thought.  Leah had her first shift last night and her wolf is a white wolf”  Charles was silent and the Luna Queen smiled warmly at me.  “I see” Charles finally spoke.  “After I spoke to you this morning I called Alpha Thomas to ask about Leah and her shift.  I was surprised to hear that she was missing but had not been reported to me.  Thomas claimed that Leah ran away three months after her parents death and he was hoping that she would have returned before her shift” Charles told us.  “Did you believe him?” Logan asked.  “No, something doesn’t feel right about this, Thomas has always been a loyal subject and a great warrior this doesn’t add up” Charles replied.  

The Luna Queen looked at me and spoke “Leah darling, can you tell us about your k********g”.  “Your highness I don’t remember anything, I remember going to bed one night and waking up in the prison” I told them.  “Call me Rose darling, we're family,” she told me.  “How were you treated in the prison?” Charles asked.  I couldn’t talk about it yet I just bowed my head.  “Don’t worry darling, you don’t need to talk about it” Rose said, giving me a comforting smile.  

“So the Goddess has gifted us with a white wolf”  Charles said breaking the silence.  “Have you noticed any magical powers yet my darling?” Rose asked.  I went to shake my head when Logan pipped in “She was able to mindlink my Beta and Gamma this morning”.  I looked confused at Logan.  “Really!” Charles exclaimed.  I was confused. I don’t remember doing it.  “Leah, how about you and I got to take a walk. I don’t think these buffoons need us” Rose said as she stood up, I smiled at Logan and followed Rose out of the office.

Logan’s POV

As soon as Rose and Leah were out of the room I turned my attention to Charles.  “What are you thinking?” I asked him.  “None of this makes sense Logan, I’ve known Thomas for years and I just can’t wrap my head around any of this.  We’re missing something”.  “Charles I don’t know, maybe we are just to blind to see the truth”.  Charles thought over this.  We spent the next hour comparing notes and reports but nothing seemed to be adding up.  We could determine Leah was kidn*pped because she was a white wolf but how would anyone know before she shifted?

Rose entered the office without Leah “Where’s Leah?”  I asked.  “I have made her busy with your head Omega planning the announcement of you finding your mate”.  “Are you sure that's a good idea Rose?”  I asked.  “Logan I think it’s the best idea, plus I need to talk to you both and I don’t want Leah to hear us”.  It’s almost as if Rose could sense my worry “Logan, you’ve known me for years but what you don’t know is that I’m a hybrid, a wolf and white witch.  I took Leah out of her so I could read her better”.  “You know I have white witches here and my friend Angela has not given me any information”.  “That's because Angela doesn’t have a wolf who can communicate with Leah’s wolf”  Rose said.  “Tell us my love” Charles said, grabbing Rose’s hand.

“I think telling you what magical powers Leah will process will help you to develop a plan.  Logan I know you’re worried about her safety but believe me she has all the power to keep herself safe.  As Leah has already demonstrated she has the power to mindlink anyone regardless if they are a member of her pack or not.  She will also have the power to transport, invisibility, illusion, and read minds and intentions.  I feel that she will learn to control these powers fast and I suggest that we stay here until she has them all.  By making your announcement that you have found your mate that will gain the interest of Thomas if he is indeed involved in her k********g, but we will not release her name.  Once she has all her powers you two will be safe to complete that mating ceremony and we will leave.  If my Im correct Thomas will not come here while we are here put once we leave he will come under to meet your new Luna”  Rose explained/

But Rose if he really is behind this how will this keep her safe?” I asked.  “Like I said she has the power of illusion she can disgust herself as someone else will get Thomas here so you can assess his motives, he might feel more comfortable to ask you about the prisoners then”.  “I can’t disagree this is a good plan. The only problem is that Leah loves Thomas. I don’t know if she will be onboard”.  Don’t worry Logan leave that to me” Rose said with a smile.
