Chapter 18 - Luke

Logan’s POV

Luckily for me after Luke’s entrance into the party Leah asked if we could retire.  I think she could feel the tension Luke’s presents made.  Don’t get me wrong I love my brother Luke we just didn’t always see eye to eye.  I was raised to cherish the mate bond and wait, he was more the playboy which made sending him to university following our parents death easier.  I’m lucky I hadn’t received any panic phone calls over the course of the last few years informing me that he got someone pregnant.  I wasn’t sure why he had come back but I intend to find out.

After a restful night sleep wrapped around my mate I woke up and got ready to start office work until Leah woke up.  As soon as I entered my office I found Luke sitting on the couch “Brother, your mate is lovely” Luke announced, I looked at him and growled.  “Relax brother, she’s all yours but why haven’t you sealed the deal yet, you seem to still be unmarked and unmated” Luke said raising his brows.  “Luke, shut up, you have no idea what you're talking about!  You don’t know a thing about Leah so don’t say anything else” I growled back at him.  “Why are you home anyways? Did you need money, did you finally get someone pregnant?” I asked taking a seat at my desk.  “Seriously? I thought you were too busy to attend my graduation not that you forgot completely” suddenly a prang of guilt fell over me “Oh Logan, I’m so sorry!  There’s been so much going on here and with Leah I really did forget”.  “Whatever brother, I’m just the spare anyways”.  “What are you planning on doing now?” I asked.  “I figured I’d give my hand around here, I have some ideas that I think can really change this pack around”.  “Hmmm, I’ll have to think about that Luke”.  “So brother fill me in on what I’ve missed.  Luke and I spent the next hour catching up and explaining Leah.  

After our heart to heart I figured it was time to check on Leah, I went into the bedroom and didn’t see her in the bed and the bathroom was empty.  Panic immediately overcame me and I started calling her name.

“Whats wrong babe” I heard literally in thin air…

Leah’s POV

I woke up and could hear Logan and Luke talking in the office so I decided to get ready for the day than practice my magic until they were done.  I pretty much had the invisible down pat when I heard Logan come in.  Let's have some fun. I thought to myself and I watched him look around for me and start calling for me as Luke entered the room due to Logan’s panic.  Leaving myself invisible I answered “What” which seemed to make Logan growl, oh game on I thought to myself.  I snuck over to Luke and put my hand on his shoulder making him invisible in front of Logan, his eyes showed shock then he grinned “Oh you want to play” he sneered back.  I put my finger to my mouth so Luke could catch and we were snuck into the office, I proceeded to open and shut his door making him think I left and quickly heard him open the bedroom door to the hallways.  Taking the invisibility down I grinned at Luke just and Logan jumped around the door frame “BOO!!!!”.  I jumped and screamed “Logan!  That's not cool!!!” I yelled at him.  Neither is hiding in plain site from your mate, by at least now we know you can make other people invisible too!”  He laughed and Luke quickly joined him.

Pouting I walked away, and decided to get ready for the day. After getting ready Logan, Luke and I sat down to have breakfast together. Lucas had great  ideas  for the pack on how to make us self-sufficient which I totally thought was great, back in my home pack the night pack our pact was more like a village and we were working towards being self-sufficient so all of Luke's ideas I thought were great. I could tell that Logan seemed to be jealous of my conversation with his brother but I hadn't been so interested in a subject for a long time.

 After breakfast I told Logan that he should probably go out and train with the pack and Luke offered to keep me entertained while Logan was away. As soon as Logan left I started talking to Luke about more of his ideas for the pack. “ Luke I really love your ideas for the pack. I was wondering if we could write them down together and come up with a possible plan to show Logan”  I said. Luke perked up and was excited by this “ if you don't mind I wouldn't mind showing you some areas around the pack,  has Logan had a chance to give you a tour of the Pack lands?”   Luke asked.  “ no not really I pretty much spent most of my time in here working on my magic but if Logan does  mind I would love to see the land”  I said. “ great  I will mind-link Logan and we can get going”.    I could see Luke having a mind-link argument with Logan but after a few minutes Luke seemed  happy and turned his attention back to me.  “ Logan agreed as long as we have a couple of guards with us”  Luke said. “ Great let's go”  I said as I grabbed his hand and started to drag him out of the room.   Once I was side we were greeted by two guards in wolf form, “ how is your shifting”  asked Luke “ this will be my second time” I replied.  “ Well it will be faster to show you the land and will form if you don't mind,  we can have the guards carry robes for us so that it's not awkward”  Luke said referring to her nakedness when we shifted back into our human form.  “ Good idea,”  I said and shifted into my wolf Crystal.   Luke quickly shifted into his black wolf typical for an alpha and led the way.
