Chapter 12

As Damon's eyes rolled back, his body felt like he was falling through the sky. He tried to look around but Alayna held his face firmly, keeping her eyes locked on his. Just as he started thinking he may be sick, it suddenly stopped. As Alayna pulled her hands away from his face and he was finally able to look around, he noticed what looked like a glorious pack's daily activites. Kids running around, warriors training both in wolf and human form, and people walking around. The pack looked like it could hold over 1000 pack members. He did not recognize what pack this would be. As he was taking in the wonderful sight, he heard a loud boom behind him. He ducked, expecting something to hit him, " Nothing can hurt you here. You just have to watch. No one can sense you in this form but this is easier than explaining everything to you. Follow me. " Alayna said. As she started walking towards the now burning castle and Damon was following her, the warriors that were training were running to the commotion and the children were running to a building that looked like a safe house. The warriors were running through Damon and Alayna as if they were ghosts. She was right, they didn't sense them. Alayna started to pick up her pace, almost as if she thought she should be helping. All of a sudden, Damon was no longer in the yard, he was in a room at the top level of the castle. The room looked like a nursery for a young girl. Damon could see the smoke starting to come in through the bottom of the door. " We have to help her! She will burn alive if we don't get her out! " Damon tried to pick up the child but his hands kept going through her. " It is no use, we are not really here, remember? " Alayna said with a sad tone.

The door from what looked like the bathroom busted open and a woman walked through. She looked exactly like Alayna did but with neon glowing eyes. " Auntie, " Alayna said with a sorrowful sigh as a tear escaped her eye. The woman walked over to the child and started speaking Latin. Damon had no idea what she was saying, but next thing he knew, there was a blinding green light and both the woman and child were gone. Only then did he look around and notice that there was another woman on the bed, looking like she had just given birth to the child that had just disappeared. The men were storming through the doors " KILL THE CHILD! " They all chanted. When the leader couldn't find the child, he turned on the woman in bed. " WHERE IS SHE?! " " You will never find her! My twin has taken her so far and masked her to where no one will ever be able to find her. " She said in almost a whisper. Damon then felt the pull of falling again, everything slowly vanished before his eyes. When it stopped he noticed he was in the middle of a forest. As he looked around he noticed the child and the woman that Alayna had called her aunt. Her aunt was speaking Latin again, there was another flash of green light. All of a sudden, there were two children side by side. They looked like identical twins. The aunt picked up one child and vanished for 20 seconds, then was back with no child in her hands. She picked up the second child and vanished again. Damon was then standing in front of another castle. " This is where my story starts, Alpha. The other child was taken somewhere even I couldn't feel or find her. " Alayna informed him. This castle was three times bigger than the one they were first at. He could see the symbol of the witches on the front door.

As he looked around he felt his body being pulled towards the front door. He allowed himself to be taken inside. In a flash, but slow enough he could understand what was going on he watched this Alayna’s life flash.

At one point when she looked to be about 8 years old he noticed she was learning to fight, with and without magic. She was really good! It kept going and he watched with great interest. All off a sudden he noticed the borders to his pack land and he knew what was about to happen.

As his body was beginning to pull away from the scenes he looked around for this Alayna, when he spotted her he felt the pull being towards her. As he walked towards her he felt his mind slowly start to blur. As he reached out for her he felt a snap and was jolted back to his body.

As he looked up he noticed Alayna’s eye slowly go from solid white to their normal color. He went to get her off of him just as she put his hands above his head and held him there.
