Once again, Dami was standing in a dark lonely room, watching the city view again, life had never been this hard for her as much as she wanted to call him, she couldn't because she was mad. Jason stood her up, although she was going to back down because of the dinner, he would at least call. Morning came again, she sat on her bed with a cup of coffee by her side and at the same time scrolling through her laptop, the sales of her books had increased, which was a good thing. Dami closed the laptop, staring at the wall. She checked her cell and no message. Dami dropped her cell, she turned on the fire on fire by sam Smith, took out her yoga mat, and watched her tutor on screen, she practised every move they had instructed. Soon after she laid staring at her white ceiling unable to get Jason off her head. Angrily she took the mat away tossing it into the storeroom. She took her tablet, and scented candles and stepped into her bathroom. She turned on the heater and cold water to mix a warm bath. A while later she placed the candle on her side. Dami turned on a Korean drama which was her resting spot. She smiled watching how beautiful and romantic the male lead was. "Why does he-" she sighed, leaning backwards, her eyes reached the ceiling again. A few minutes later, she stepped out of the bathtub, taking her tablet with her. Dami threw them on the bed laying beside them. She stared into her ceiling wondering why he had not contacted her. Her doorbell rang. Damilola turned to the other side of the bed refusing to get up. She didn't want to, she told herself. It kept ringing, Dami knew that wasn't June, she would barge in if she didn't answer after the third time. She took a pink robe, and headed out, she opened the door. "What?" she muttered staring at the huge bouquet. "Miss Adesina?" The delivery guy stepped out from behind it. "Yes that's me" she replied. "We are so sorry for the delay, Mr Lee wanted you to have this yesterday, but we had mixed them up, we apologize" "Yesterday?" she helped him, bringing it. "Yes, we apologize, in return, we are offering a free delivery to cover that up," "Oh, really?" her mood brightened, Dami smiled taking the card from him. "We apologize," He says, Dami nodded closing the door after him, and she stared at the huge flower in front of her. "Is he going to bury me?" she chuckled, finding a letter. Jason's letter: Sending these varieties of roses to a special one, Miss Adesina would you let me take you out for dinner? Dami smiled, and she squeaked running around. "Am I to reply grandly?" she turned it around. Jason's letter: Marina Bay Sands hotel, eight pm, tomorrow?" "What? Nah!" she laughed walking into her room, tomorrow was literally today, by eight in the evening, Marina Bay? ever since she had been in Singapore she had wanted to visit that hotel but she wasn't able to, Dami watched the clock hit six, she smiled not sure if she would be able to go. She looked at her dress and the shoe she had brought out despite having thoughts of cancelling. Her phone rang interrupting her thoughts, she raised it, staring at the caller, he was the one... She quickly got up and cleared her throat... Dami answered. "Hey" his voice softened, Dami stayed quiet listening and waiting for what he had to say next. "I..." They both said. "Oh, I am sorry..." he says, Dami shook her head, "What did you want to say," they said at the same time. This was awkward she bit her lips. "I heard from Go-Go," He says. "Go-Go?" she asked confused. "Yeah, the delivery..." Jason cleared his throat. "Oh, yeah" "I would have called sooner," He says. "It's okay..." They gave a long pause, Dami was shocked by this side of him, where was that "my forever?" she smiled. "Anyways... whenever you're ready let me know" she spat. Dami's eyes shot wide, what did she just say? "I am, do you need me to pick you up, or I can send someone over?" "Any," she says, embarrassed. Damilola, stepped out of a black rolls Royce phantom, she took his hands, in a red evening dress and her hair dressed in a full afro, Dami matched with a black heel that wasn't visible. "Perfection" Jason whispered, earning a smile from her. Immediately her smile vanished. "You look good too" she cleared her throat slightly, admiring the black tuxedo he had on like it was perfectly tailored for him. "Thanks, I had it made," he whispered with a smile, Dami looked at him, he looked so innocent with the smile he had on. She thought as much, of course, he owned a clothing brand. Jason leads her into the grand hotel. Dami tried to hide her excitement, she wanted to give a pause and admire the beauty, he took her hands leading her to his reservation. "Do you come here often?" she whispered, trying her best not be embarrass herself. "Yeah, I do, mostly for work" "You work here?" she asked, Jason laughed pressing the elevator button, and as it opened he helped her in. "You're cute" he pulled her gently to his body, leaning against the wall. Jason held her waist. Her breath seized as he leaned forward, she gripped his arms, staring at him. "Those lips look pretty" His low and sexy voice rang in her head. She raised her gaze at him, his eyes met hers. "Jason?" she called breathlessly, her heart was racing and she feared he could hear it. "Yes gorgeous?" he smiled moving backwards. Dami held him back, she leaned closer aiming for his lips. Dami planted a soft peck on his lips. "Is this what you wanted?" she asked, and a smirk graced his lips. "Hope this is not a mistake?" Dami wrapped her hands around his neck, she wondered what she was doing but she couldn't stop, just seeing him, she wanted to be free and do whatever she wanted without being strained by her past. "I don't think so" she chuckles, tightening her lips, her smile widened when he returned it.
