Awaken Desire

Introduction "Ugh, that same dream again," Sera uttered softly to herself when she abruptly woke up from a dream. Beads of sweat shining across her forehead as she got up and head to the kitchen for some water. The recurring dream starts to bother her now. The guy in her dreams,tall and with a sturdy physique, held her arms like she can still feel it as she touches her skin. "Who the hell can that guy be?" she keeps murmuring to herself while trying to get more sleep. It's 3 o'clock in the morning and she has a big day at work tomorrow. "Why does he keep appearing in my dreams?.. her thoughts as her eyes got heavy and fell back asleep. Chapter 1 The high pitched alarm sound woke her up. Mondays.., she thought.. But today should be a special day. Her promotion dream is finally coming true. Mr. Sheldon Wills, her 50 year old CEO will make the official announcement today. She recalled how she was hired five years ago as she grabbed a towel and head to the shower. "Next applicant please, Miss Matner, you may go in", the ArchEmpire secretary called out to her. Sera can't help to be nervous,but with her credentials and knowledge, not to mention her passion in architecture, she felt confident as she pulled the chair in front of a wide table, as the man behind it gestured her to sit. Mr. Sheldon Wills doesn't look his age. You can still see the well-featured good looks in the man's face. "Are you done observing me? Did I pass?" the old man smiled, teasing her while she unconsciously stares at him. "Oh, I apologize Sir," she said, blushing. Few minutes later,she went out of the room feeling like she's in cloud nine. "I got the job, yes!, she excitedly called her brother Andrei, who still lives with him since they became orphan. "Congrats, Sis! Dinner is on you tonight. The cold shower water brought her back to her senses. She finished her shower and prepared carefully for work. "This is the day," she keeps reminding herself. The ArchEmpire building lobby is usually crowded but Sera noticed it is specially packed today, unfamiliar faces even. "what's going on?" she asked the guard as she swiped her company ID. "Mr. Wills had an accident on his way to work and was dead on arrival at the hospital." explained the guard Sera didn't even hear the last words he said, she felt like her brain shut down and her body froze.
