Arianna pov
The next day things were a little odd, when she got to Lachlan’s home there was the girls working as normal. But there was a few additional young males as well. Brie seemed to be annoyed, while Ariel seemed to be flirting.
“What’s going on?” Ariel asked as she surveyed the room. Everyone snapped to attention as if she was a drill sergeant and got back to work.
“Lu- I mean Arianna nothing is going on. We are just working,” Ariel said which caused Ari to roll her eyes.
“Ariel please I wasn’t always old, I just meant what are they doing here?” She asked and pointed to the young guys.
“Mr. Anderson decided as punishment they were to help out with chores around the house,” Brie said coming up to her. Ari nodded her head impressed.
“Good you guys can show them the ropes, I have to get cooking.”
“Actually-“ Brie said interrupting. “I have to go work out with the guys. I’m taking their place,” Brie said pointing to the men who seemed to be sulking at that comment. Arianna smiled,
“Good for you,” Arianna wasn’t exactly sure what was going on, she just knew that whole Ariel was content where she was in this place. Brie wasn’t. It seemed that her going to Lachlan gave her an opportunity, Ari hoped she would be able to use it to her advantage.
Arianna watched Brie tell the boys to do a few things while she simply plugged in her headphones and went about her newly established routine.

Brie POV
She left the kitchens with her spirits soaring. The best day of her life was when Alpha Lachlan brought home his human mate. While most of the pack viewed it as a weakness, having a human mate. Brie knew it would bring about a positive change for her, and the omegas in the pack.
Brie always wanted to be a warrior, but her and her family were omegas. While the Blood Moon pack didn’t treat omegas bad, omegas had to stay in their role as servants to serve the higher ranks of the pack. It wasn’t a bad job, most omegas in the pack like Ariel were happy in their life as an omega. There pack was a traditional pack, no opportunities for advancement.
Brie was one of the few that craved to be something more. So when the Alpha discussed punishments for the warriors in training yesterday Brie decided to push her luck. Alpha Lachlan has been a different person since Luna Arianna has shown up. She knew that a possible punishment of her own could be given. But she decided to risk it. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and she had to take it.
Brie finally made it to the training fields. There were no mean comments or stares. The show the alpha put on yesterday terrified everyone. Alpha Lachlan was a strong Alpha, but with strong alphas they are very temperamental. They need their mate to balance them out. As a pack Blood Moon is lucky the alpha didn’t got crazy from the loss of his mate.
Brie approached the Gamma of the pack, he was his namesake; the heart of the pack.
“Hello Frank,” Brie said respectively. Frank looked up from his clipboard and smiled. Frank treated everyone in the pack with respect. The same with the beta Harrison, the only one who didn’t was the Delta Zack.
That’s why Wayne thought he could talk back to the alpha, cause he was butt buddies with Zack. Brie laughed in her head, Wayne was still in the pack hospital and banned from the pack house. When he healed he was to spend a week in the dungeons. The alpha told him if he ever messed up again he would be exiled from the pack.
“Hello Brie it’s good to see you, I think you will be the only omega showing up today,” Frank told her. Brie nodded,
“I figured.”
“Go stand in line,” Frank said.
They started training with running around the territory, something about endurance. Brie felt like she was dying by lap two, but she wasn’t going to give up. She did the laps, and clearly it took longer than the others to finish as everyone was waiting for her.
She heard the taunts, and jeers as she ran back. However, that was something she was used to. What surprised her was the earth shaking growl that ripped across the training fields. Everyone turned to see Alpha Lachlan standing there angry.
“So I see no one learned from yesterday at all?” Lachlan turned to his gamma,
“I’m surprised at you the most Frank.” That seemed to be the equivalent of kicking a puppy because the gamma shrank down and retreated into himself.
The training then broke off into partners for hand to hand combat. Lachlan personally assigned his beta for her. While the alpha worked out his aggression with some of the other warriors. The groups were smaller today since the other warriors were still doing their punishments. However, they weren’t excused from doing their training.
Beta Harrison was an amazing teacher. However, Harrison couldn’t know that the moves he were showing me she already knew. The beta couldn’t know that while she was doing her chores she was watching him and Frank teach the warriors.
“Good Brie you are catching on very well.” Brie didn’t respond to his compliment as she was still an omega. She was breathing heavy, and was not used to this form of excretion.
Throughout the training Beta Harrison continued to work with her, and show Brie more complicated techniques. He got the best of her every time. All except the last. Brie watched him, both now and before. The beta had a go to series of punches. He would throw a left hook, right punch, then follow it with a round house kick. Generally with his right leg.
Brie, who was exhausted was ready for him when she saw the hook. Brie blocked both punches but then when Harrison went up for the powerful kick she went down to sweep his leg from under him. The beta fell unceremoniously on the floor, Brie managed to jump on top of him and claim the win.
Everyone was speechless for a moment, Brie was afraid she did something wrong until the beta startled laughing.
“Well done Brie…could you get off of me?” The beta asked. Brie swore she saw some attraction in his eyes but dismissed it. She quickly, too quickly jumped off of him and fell into a heap on the ground. Brie assumed everyone would laugh, but this time there wasn’t a sound.
“Fall in,” Zack called angrily. Brie immediately did as she was told.
Lachlan pov
“You called for me Alpha?” Brie asked knocking on his open door. Lachlan looked up from his paper work.
“Yes Brie come have a seat,” he gestured. Brie sat down nervously.
“This isn’t about early today is it?” Brie asked referring to the training field. Lachlan nodded,
“Yes it is.”
“I’m not in trouble am I?” Brie asked nervously and Lachlan couldn’t help but laugh.
“You are far from it. I am offering you a spot in our warrior training program.” Lachlan smiled at the young woman in front of him as her jaw dropped.
“You aren’t teasing me are you alpha?” She asked him timidly.
“No I’m not,” he shook his head. “However, there are a few conditions.” Lachlan held up his hand. “Nothing serious. I just want to wait for you to join while my mate get settles into the pack house.” Lachlan could see the young girl relax. “What you did today shows that you have some real potential. I definitely want to utilize it, but you also are the first friend my mate has made here, so I want to see her settled into our life first.”
“I understand alpha, and I appreciate you offer. I won’t abandon the Luna ever. She has done so much for me without even knowing.” Lachlan smiled at the affection this young woman has for her Luna.
“Can I make a request?” Brie asked when there was a knock on the door.
“It’s me,” Harrison said in the mind link.
“Come on in,” Lachlan said out loud for the benefit of Brie. In walked his beta. “Go ahead with your request.” Brie looked at his beta nervously,
“Could I train in the afternoons when the Luna is gone?” Brie asked.
“I want to say yes Brie, but you know as well as I do that there isn’t anyone training at that time,” Lachlan answered honestly.
“I can do it by myself, I just need the time off from my chores.”
“Well I thought I made it clear Brie your not an omega any longer. Your in warrior training now,” Lachlan stated shocking both her and Harrison.
“I’ll train her,” Harrison said out of nowhere. Lachlan didn’t know why but he felt uncomfortable with that.
“No, she can train by herself for now.” Harrison looked disgruntled, but stayed quite.
“So Brie tell me. How did you defeat my beta?” Lachlan asked curious. Brie looked between the two men, still nervous.
“Well I’ve noticed that the beta will do certain moves in order.”
“What? I do not?” Harry said outraged. Lachlan laughed,
“Clearly you do. What are they?” Lachlan never noticed, but it’s a sign of a good warrior.
“You will throw a left hook, right punch…”
“And then the roundhouse. That’s how you knew to swipe that leg.” Harrison said in realization. “Son of a bitch.” Lachlan couldn’t help but laugh, and so did Harrison.
Yup today was definitely a good day.
