The Unfamiliarity

(Lisanna) I did not expect myself to be a popular one in my new school back in the city where I came from, but I definitely would never think that using my surname in this place would put me in this huge unfamiliarity. I saw the house was just in a little bit of distance, so I stopped for a bit that he quickly looked back on me in surprise. “Is there something wrong?” he asked to me as a devilish smile formed on my face, lifting the edge of my lips. “Should I just ask my family?” I blurted out of the blue as I saw his eyes looked at me in wide manner. “Are you crazy? Why would you ask them directly?” he exclaimed but in a whispering manner, he kept on looking around trying to check if there could be any other people could be listening to the conversation of ours. “What? Who should I ask if you would not even open your mouth for a little information?” I innocently asked to him that he paused for a bit and let out a deep sigh. “Alright, what do you want to know?” he calmly asked to me as I smirked, moved few steps towards him and smirked. “Let me think about it, see you tomorrow.” I answered as I patted his shoulder lightly and left without waiting for his answer. I entered the house, it was utterly silent but I do not care any of that. I plainly walked towards the direction where my room was located and entered without caring any of it. I saw my room but the initial reaction I had was to make a silent and deep sigh. I just saw my twin lying with her stomach flatted on my bed when she already has her own room across the hallway. “What in the hell are you doing here?” I asked as I walked towards her. She acted like she did not hear my words and continuously using her phone without moving any inch. “I met boys.” I added and those few words made her jumped off from the bed and stood up just to face straight at me. I chuckled in disbelief as I shook my head seeing how she reacted. “Whoa, do you like boys that much?” I sarcastically asked to her, and she awkwardly laughed at me. “So, what kind of boys did you met?” she quickly asked and sat on the bed again the moment I leaned my back on the headboard of the bed. “Boys that owned an arcade place, and boys that holds secrets in this place.” I meaningfully answered as I slowly looked at her. She was staring at me with her puzzled look, I laugh softly and lightly threw her a pillow. “Get out and stay in your own room.” I said to her that she just glared at me and stood up. “You should have call me out when you had your fun outside. How could you be so selfish.” She kept on murmuring those words like she was trying to get into me and make me regret that I did not call her out. “Shut up and meet some when we enter the school.” I exclaimed and she rolled her eyes on me before leaving my room. I get up and walked towards the bathroom to take a short shower, after some minutes, I wrapped my hair with a light towel and get out from the bathroom. I grabbed a remote near my bed and opened the television. I kept on changing the channel searching for a good show to watch, but I did not find any, so I shut it off. I sat on the bed again and started scrolling through my phone, I saw some messages coming from my classmates back at the city and asking if I would really not enroll at the school where we were preparing. I did not any obligation to explain my situation to them so I plainly said that I moved out from the city because of my parents’ job. I put my phone on the table and removed the towel off from my hair. I sat in front of my vanity mirror and starting to blow dry it, as I kept on doing that to my hair, several thoughts also came around and all of them do not have any answer in begin with. What do they mean that our family once ruled this city? we are not some political dynasty or something but I do agree that we owned some lands in this countryside but most of those were not revealed to the public. That is why now that the whole family knew about these lands, they were all wanting to get some piece of it, well, most of them wanted a whole and not just some part of it. I do not know what should expect, tomorrow would be my first time going at the school where we will be entering this school year. Risa and I would only be the one to attend the orientation when it should be a parent and child thing, I guess mom and dad would now be busy with all those family issues and inheritance thing. When I felt my hair was already been dried up, I pulled off the plug and quickly lied down on the bed, closed my eyes and let myself dive into a deep sleep. The morning broke but I did not hear any alarm noise unlike other people, my body just already have a consistent body clock and I hate to say that I do wake up early even if I sleep late at night. I get up saw myself on the mirror and looking all messed up, looks like I did have a great sleep last night. I was about to leave my bed when I heard the door flew opened wide as I saw my twin standing there while panting. “Did you just encounter some monsters or is it really that you being overdramatic?” I sarcastically asked to her and she marched towards me with her eyebrows meeting in the middle of her forehead. “Why did you not tell us that you already got a boyfriend?” she exclaimed to me as I nodded absent mindedly until my brain finally processed what in the hell did I heard. “What are you talking about?” I asked as I tried to calm myself down. I do not want to think that maybe Luke was waiting for me downstairs because if he really did, I might really kill that guy. “A guy named Luke is here and he introduced himself as your boyfriend. Mom and dad were talking to him.” She answered to me as I felt my shoulders dropped in disbelief. I did not know that committing crime was so easy like this. “I got it, I will go down there in a bit, you can now go.” I calmly answered as I saw her eyes thinned like she was testing the waters or something. “Just go, before I could even drag you out.” I added and she quickly nodded her head and followed by her quick steps leaving my room. I breathe three times as I closed my eyes and calmly trying to imagine a calm see with its waves brushing the shore. There was a wide scene in front of me as I saw the sky meets the line of the sea, like it was becoming one. “What a great day to beat someone into pulp.” I whispered to myself as I quickly started my morning routine. I did not even rush or make myself pressured knowing that he was waiting down there. He came without saying anything and it was his call to go here with his own mind so it was also his own bearing to wait for nothing. I looked myself on the mirror as I finally finished dressing up for school, I heard someone knocked on the door and I am sure that it was Risa, asking me to move faster. I grabbed my small bag and phone before I opened the door. “Your man is getting bored little by little.” She said to me as I smirked and shut the door behind me. “Just let him get bored, and for the record, he is not my man.” I answered and walked ahead of her. “Oh, Lisa is here.” I heard mom said as I walked downstairs, I rolled my eyes as I saw Luke was smiling at me like a fool. “You are not calling me that way, mom.” I whispered to her and she pinch me at the side but not letting Luke notice any of it. “Shut the hell up when you already got someone to flirt about.” She whispered with that phony smile of hers. “I am not flirting with him.” I answered and she quickly looked at me with her surprised look. “Then, are you in a serious one with him?” she exclaimed. “Mom!” I exclaimed as loud as I can, that everyone looked on the two of us and looking with those eyes full of questions. “Lisa was really happy seeing you here, lad.” Mom suddenly faced Luke and said those unbelievable words. “I know, I know from the moment I saw her.” He answered like it was already a script imprinted at the back of his mind. “Shut up.” I mouthed those words at him, but he grinned at me, ridiculously. I scoffed and rolled my eyes as I started walking away. “Lisa, are you not going to have breakfast?” I heard dad asked me as I waved my hand while facing my back on them. “Nah, I suddenly wanted to vomit.” I answered and went out from the house. I felt someone was following me from behind and I already got an idea that it was Luke. I continued walking at the street and the same timing when Brett went out from their house. He looked on our way and he paused for a bit, and tilted his head in confusion. “Why are you two going out from that house at the same time?” he quickly asked on the two of us and joined casually. “Ask your dumb friend.” I plainly said without even looking back. But I already confirmed that it was indeed Luke when he said that. “Do not tell me Luke that you really introduced yourself as her boyfriend?” Brett asked in disbelief like he already got an idea how crackhead this guy could be. “That is the truth, right?” he plainly answered as I abruptly stopped and finally faced him. “Are you serious with this one? Because I am not.” I answered as I found myself let out a augh out of disbelief. “Let us just say that it was a love at first sight, will you be satisfied?” he answered at me as he stepped towards me and close enough for our eyes to meet. “I would never be satisfied. I see this relationship as a game and I would never be serious with it.” I answered with a smirked. “Let’s see, I will make you be serious with this.” he said as I chuckled and stared for a moment. “Uhh, sorry to disturb your little lovey time but I guess we will be late.” I heard someone talked behind Luke and when I peeked on it, I saw my twin munching some bread while blankly staring on the three of us. “And who is this lady?” Brett entered the scene as I let out a deep sigh. “Oh, I am Risanna and unfortunately her twin.” She answered while fixing herself like she got a match from a blind date. “Whoa, your name sounds unfamiliar but a new one.” He commented as I scoffed in disbelief. “Well, sorry for having a common name.” I answered and walked ahead of them. “She was hurt.” I heard Brett said. “She was definitely one.” I heard my twin added on top of that. “I hate all of you.” I whispered to myself and was about to turn at the corner of the street when a car suddenly stopped in front of us. Automatically, the four of us also stopped as the window pulled down little by little. “Need a ride? I can offer you one.” He said to me, and that was Asley riding in his Limousine. “I was really waiting for your car to pass by.” Brett answered and got in without having any second thoughts. “Well, I do not have any reason to decline the offer.” Luke plainly answered and followed Brett like it was their usual thing. “What about the two of you?” Asley asked on the two of us as I looked on Risa, who was actually looking back at me. “Are they the boys you talked about last night?” she whispered to me as I nodded in return. “You are really the best sister in this world.” That was the last words she said before I could even realize that I was all alone standing and all of them were looking at me from inside the car.
