“Joshua!” Edith’s yell was with a mixture of worry and fear. Hearing her voice, the wolf stopped instantly.
His anger began to dissipate as, with gasps, he decided to get up from that place.
The Vampire on the completely shattered floor began to regenerate. When he was complete, he saw Joshua’s cold and frightening gaze that stood next to Edith.
When she saw him, she demanded, “Who told you about me, vampire!?”
The Vampire looked at her, and with a half-smile, before he replied, “What makes you think I’ll tell you anything?”
Joshua let out a roar that made the Vampire flinch.
However, while still holding onto his earlier words, the Vampire insisted, “You can tell your filthy dog to kill me! I will not tell you anything!”
Edith opened her eyes with an incredulous surprise and nodding, and she looked at Joshua as she put her hand on that Vampire’s face.
“As you wish!” As she said that, she smirked evilly and uttered, “Solis!”
When she said that, her eyes darkened, and from her hand, a symbol appeared.
From that symbol, a faint ray of sunlight began to fall on the Vampire’s eye. The creature began to contort. Joshua held it coldly. His face began to melt from Edith’s power.
“A man a man! Long white hair went to the lair… he said that the witches of death could die and that the human world would be ours… please stop it!!”
Edith stared at him and said, “You are not telling me everything!”
The Vampire screamed, and desperately, as he spoke with difficulty, “I am sorry! He said! He said that death had to pay and he would do it… and we would collect the world!”
When she said that, Edith stopped. She saw the charred face of that Vampire who breathed with difficulty, and when she saw him, she asked, “What was that creature?”
“I do not know!” The terrified Vampire responded immediately, “He looked like an ordinary human... like you!”
“A sorcerer?” She said Edith more to herself than to the others.
When she saw the vampire point her palm and intensifying the spell, she ended up immediately turning him to dust.
After doing that, she looked at Joshua and said with a deep frown, “Someone is trying to kill me!”
Joshua approached her and, placing his hands on her cheek, said, “I will protect you!”
But at that moment, a shot hit his body.
The shot had made Joshua fall to the ground, bleeding. When Edith saw him, she searched with her eyes who was the shooter.
In front of her, a trembling young man was holding a shotgun. His hands were trembling, and his eyes filled with tears looking at the girl with fear.
As he trembled, he looked in all directions. While with dread in his voice, he asked, “Where is my family?”
Edith raised her hands in surrender. She was trying to speak slowly, confusion laced on her voice, “What are you talking about? How did you get here?”
At that moment, Joshua got up, the shotgun pellets came out of his body as his wounds closed, the boy looked at him with fear and raised his shotgun with a trembling voice, and his eyes filled with tears.
“Why…! What are you?” he asked in disbelief.
At that moment, two howls were heard in the distance. Joshua gritted his teeth as he tried to breathe in the atmosphere.
He could smell the presence of various members of his pack, and moving with speed, he took the silver dagger and said, “We have to go!”
The boy raised the gun, pointed straight at Joshua’s head, and said, “You are not going anywhere!”
But seeing it, Edith raised her hands and calmly muttered, “Somnum!”
Hearing that word, a seal appeared on Edith’s mark, and the boy dropping his weapon fell asleep instantly. Edith advanced towards him and calmly checked his head.
Joshua, who approached with a worried expression, tracked the movement of his pack and said with tension, “We must go now!”
Edith looked at him calmly, and nodding, she said pointing at the boy, “Carry him! We can’t leave him here! “
Joshua did not like the idea, but without arguing, he took the boy’s unconscious body, and with speed, they both began to run. They left the clearing where the campers had been murdered and calmly reached the cabin.
Once in it, they both took a breath when Edith said feigning anger, “I thought you were going to go!?”
Joshua looked at her with a cold expression before he replied, “Before I left, I wanted to make sure you weren’t in trouble! Like being eaten by a vampire, for example!”
As he said that, he saw her directly and, getting up, said, “We are not alone!”
Walking slowly towards the door, he watched as many of his pack members surrounded the cabin.
Edith got up and walking out the door, she asked, “What are you looking for here?”
Jerald calmly walked towards her.
“I asked you what you are doing here?” She repeated with raised hand.
He smiled, and looking at her, he said smugly, “We got the information that you death witches are now vulnerable! We thought it was a good time to claim what belongs to us!”
Joshua left the cabin looking at all of them, and without transforming, he expressed a great presence.
The rest of the wolves watched as Jerald, without retreating, smiled and said, “We come for your life, Joshua! If you still care about the pack, you know you have to give yourself up, or we’ll be in trouble!”
Joshua stared at him. Edith smile lazily but her gaze were cold as she said, “Whoever told you that I was a vulnerable was saying bullshit lie! My spell is as powerful as ever! Any of you who dare to lay a finger on Joshua will die instantly!”
Jerald, without flinching, looked at her and calmly said, “I know that!”
As he said that, Edith’s gaze darkened, and Jerald added, “But if we kill you first, maybe your spell won’t work!”
Jerald smiled and said that many of his subordinates attacked, Joshua possessed by anger and terror, was about to transform when Edith touching the floor of her own cabin, said darkening her eyes again.
“Mutare ex situ!!”
When he said that, a huge black mist surrounded the house immediately. All the wolves frightened by the spectacle were captured when the house disappeared before their eyes.
Jerald, still unable to believe what he saw, let out a scream of anger and, looking at his subordinates, he commanded loudly, “Find them! They can’t be far!”
