Chapter 11

Jax POV

"Yadira, you need to rest. The doctor said no more lifting." I grabbed the box from her hands and set it down before lifting up my beautiful mate and laying her on the bed. I climbed in after her and and rested my hands on her stomach before closing my eyes.

"Jax!" I jolted up and looked over to Yadira who was sound asleep. I loked around the room and no one was there.  

"She's dying Jax, please.." It was a faint whisper now but I knew who it belonged too.

"Henly?" I could feel tears threatening to fall. "Who Hen?" I questioned before looking at Yadira. She seemed fine. I don't understand. Then it hit me. 

I rushed out of the room and up to the Alphas floor and barged through the door. I found Hakan with his bare back to the door and a woman who is not Skai on her knees in front of his with her d**k is his mouth. As much as I wanted to kill the man where he stood I refrained. I needed to find her. 

"Where is she?!" I demanded making Hakan turned around furiously and the woman whimpered at the loss of his touch.

"Out. Now!" Hakan spit the words towards me. His expression changed to hurt as he fell on his knees in pain. 

I knew what that meant, she's not like that. She knows the pain physical contact with another causes your mate and she would never do that to another. She's hurt bad and I need to find her.

"Woods." Hens voiced whispered in my head. I darted through the house and shifted as soon as I reached the front door. I tracked her scent miles from the pack house and what I saw disgusted me. 

There was a man on top of Skai's beaten and bloody body forcing his way in and out of her. I grabbed the guy by his throat with my mouth and ripped it out in one swift movement. I shifted back and went to Skai. 

Her heartbeat was faint and she was having a hard time breathing. Why isn't she healing!? I lifted her up and wrapped her pants around her bare bottom before I started carrying her out of the woods. I looked down on her wondering why she didn't shift and rip his throat out herself. Shes a damn Alpha for Goddess sake, she could've killed him in her human form if she wanted.

She started coughing up blood and whimpering and she whispered Henlys name. 

My heart hurt for her, even though we were together I always knew she was in love with Hen, but she refused to take it further because she didn't want Hen to miss out on her mate. She said Henly deserved the best mate in the world and she didn't want to complicate it with them being together. But I knew better, Skai thought that since she was a half-ling that she wouldn't be blessed with a mate. She didn't want her heart shattered when Henly finally found her mate and left Skai behind. She confessed it to me one drunken night, the same night we got together.

I mind link Yadira about whats going on and to get the pack doctor.  

I finally reached the pack house and stormed inside and rushed her to my room where Yadira stood by the door waiting with another woman. Must be the doctor.

I lay her on the bed and stepped aside for the pack doctor to start doing whatever she needed too.

"Don't let her die." I asked before leaving the room and running into the Alpha.

"Where is she?" He asked, clearly pissed off.

"Why would you care!? You were too busy getting f****d to know that your MATE was being r***d and beaten to death by one of YOUR pack members!" I yelled

His face turned from anger to confusion before what I said registered. He really thought she was with someone like he was. Pathetic Alpha.

He then looked over my shoulder to the door. I shook my head. "No, leave. Once shes better the three of us are leaving." I said before backing up to the door blocking him from entering.

Yadira appeared beside me sobbing and trying to speak. "S-she isnt' h-healing.." she paused and took a breath "S-she's crying f-for H-h-henly, Jax."She sobbed into my chest as I started rubbing circles in her back.

"I know, she whimpered for her the whole way here. I think she's with her now."

Yadira stopped and looked at me with grim expression, I nodded my head and she mind linked me.

'Shes going to die, isn't she Jax?'

'I don't know baby, but Hens the one to tell me where she was. She's still looking over her, they really did love each other.'

'They should've been mates.. the goddess is being cruel.'

'I agree, we leave as soon as she heals.. or doesn't. I killed the guy, they wont let that pass.'

She nodded her head and walked back towards Skai's bed to help the doctor clean her wounds. 

I stayed by the locked door all through the days and nights, making sure no one entered and hurt my girls. Henly hasn't spoken since I found Skai. Yadira refuses to leave her side and has been sleeping next to her every night for the last three days. The Alpha found the guys body who hurt Skai, he hasn't came to enforce a punishment yet, nor has he came to visit since she was brought here. Yadira's voice brought me out of my thoughts.

"Whats her middle name?" She asked looking back at Skai.

"I don't know, I think they only person who knew her real name was Henly and she would never tell me." 

"We should use her middle name for the baby's and Hens middle name, Leanna, as the first name." She spoke softly towards Skai. Shes been saying we were having a girl since we found out she was pregnant.

"That sounds perfect, now we just need her stubborn ass to wake up so we can ask." 

Her body healed fully within the first few days but she has yet to wake up. I'm afraid that if shes with Henly then shes not going to wake up, she's probably happier there with her than she'll ever be here. 

She's the last piece of Hens happiness that I have left and I'm too selfish to let her go with Hen yet.
