Chapter 18 - Rose POV
“Alright Miss Rose, can you please tell us what happened on, Saturday, December 7, 2019, at 10:25 a.m.” I told them, I told them how Kelsey called me and I had an unsettling feeling about it and decided to go to her apartment with Zeus. I opened the door with the spare key she gave me, I saw how her living room was destroyed and how Zeus growled at the man, how Kelsey was on the floor and that when I saw his face I knew him from school. And then I told them what happened when he approached me.
Flashback
When the man starts to come towards me, I recognize him, he goes to my school and is in one of my classes but why? Why is he here? What did he do to my best friend?
“Well, well I wasn’t expecting company here,” he says with a smile. “What the f**k did you do to her,” I say to him, trying to keep my voice calm. “Oh nothing, just wanted to talk to her, but she didn’t want anything to do with me,” he says. And then everything comes together, he’s the one who’s been leaving the flowers, the notes and f*****g following her. “You see, Kelsey started to talk to someone, and I didn’t like that. So I came here to try to ask her out and what pissed me off the most, she didn’t want to be my girl and one thing lead to another and know she’s passed out on the floor,” he says laughing. But when he’s finished his face turns dark. “But know that you saw everything and I told you what I did, I can’t let you leave,” He says looking at me. Next thing I know he’s running towards me with a knife but before I can even move my body, Zeus jumps and bites his hand. Losing his balance he is on the ground fighting with Zeus. Before I can even do anything a man comes running in, he’s dressed in a black suit. Without a second guess, I run towards Kelsey, looking at her she’s covered in cuts and bruises. With tears streaming my face, I caress her face and telling her everything’s going to be alright.
